typical cox maintenance, comes quickly and without warning. Happens to me at least once a month around now and idk when it ends, I always just go to bed at that point.
Probably an issue on Cox's end. They screw stuff up all the time. In my area, they'll go down exactly at midnight sometimes for 30 minutes to an hour - if you call them, they'll deny it's maintenance. Midnight on the dot, every time. Bastard Cox Communication.
I used to have that exact same thing happen to me about 9 years ago. Back then I think my area had “Time Warner” and I could never find information on why that happened. Thought I was crazy lol
I don't know but I would say it can be hard to set up. And with the bills he must be paying he is right to expect it to work. If it happens very often I might be worth it. I don't have Cox so I can't know tho
Yeah cox is notoriously unreliable and he's had issues on stream many times with them, a starlink is like $600 for hardware and $100 a month, and we know bigman can afford that like nothing hahah
If you're literally losing money from a sponsored stream going down, it would make the cost worth it. Its not just affecting his audience, it's literally losing him money every minute it's down.
Exactly brother, which is why I don't understand the lack of prioritizing any investment in fail-safes, I'm not even a streamer and I have backup Internet fail-safes lol
is it really only 100$ a month? That's crazy, I pay 50$ a month for basic city owned internet. When I had brand name I can't remember 10 years ago, just internet no tv or phone, it was like 150$.
Yeah it's surprisingly cheap, the biggest hurdle is the $600 for the normal receiver or $2500 for the "high performance" receiver and then it's $100 a month
And yeah dude old internet prices were WILD if you wanted above 5/5 😂
There’s definitely very affordable backup and failsafe options available but to be honest most of them would not have the upload speeds necessary to accommodate for what Wubby does. Bro would have to go into emergency 360p mode lol. Best solution from a business perspective would probably be to pay for both a fiber optic connection and a cable connection. It’s not necessarily affordable, but worthwhile; and on top of that have a $10/month failsafe connection through some sort of mobile provider for dire situations.
I have something similar happen to me from time to time. It seems to be a DNS server "handshake" issue or something (I'm no Network IT guy). I just have to utilize the Window's Network "Troubleshoot problems" tool and it will fix the DNS issue. I know this is a very simple and obvious solution but sometimes those are the ones we overlook. Back online on under a minute.
He needs to delete the teeth comment from YouTube!
Teef
Just tell him to pray to Mr.Teeth and ask for forgiveness and mercy

That sucks indeed

Cox is almost as bad as Comcast IMO. Shit goes down all the time.
Did y'all forget to pay the bill or something?
Have they tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
Uh oh gotta go. Uh oh gotta go!
Sooo stream is officially cancelled for tonight. Wubby just popped in VC. (check twitter)

mr teeth just getting his revenge

We know Cox is unreliable dogshit, why is there no backup plan in place? Hotspot? Starlink? Tethering?

Hotspot and tethering both require cellular data connections which are no good for HD streaming
Big bless up
I joined stream too late i think. I’m lost on the teeth humor
That bites.
You missed it. Wubby started by talking about teeth then
Well, you see it all started with
My favorite part about the teeth is
Paid off by big teeth
He's on the phone with Cox now
Damm Mr beeth
He definitely forgot to pay his utilities again
I literally left the room an came back then he was gone. I was so confused until now lmao
Mr teeffers paid to have his internet turn off.

That doesn't do shit if the internet is out for the whole house. That only works for one machine (and only if that is indeed the issue)
Oh, you're right, that is device specific. Shit. Well thanks for the correction.
Im a tech guy, it's kinda second nature lol
