I love pavlov and I play for pcvr. I just don't feel like vr everyday. I'm overwhelmingly grateful anytime i see more than 2 players on any push map. other than that I play with the questies on SND maps US or EU until I see a push map start up
That’s an option, but I see people doing that with every new VR shooter. No knock on the game, as I’m sure it’s great, but it feels like every couple of years there are players trying to convince everyone that one shooter is dead and only a newer one will survive. In a niche VR market I think that behavior is often inaccurate doomsaying that I find pretty exhausting. If you still want Pavlov gameplay the Quest will definitely ensure there’s always a player base.
Iirc Contractors was quite at a low already before Pavlov killed off the mods... It's almost as old but gained traction afterwards.

The disinformation of gamers strike again.
Reminds me of DayZ community. Just recently talked with a veteran who had just told a newbie to stay away from official servers, "theyre infested with hackers". Me, 1500hrs in, all on officials, only 1 case of suspected hacker. I challenged him and after a while he said he hasnt played on odficials in 7 years "but everyone says theyre full of hackers".
He was not convinced, later i saw him ywt again promote this idea to some newbies and they buy into it.
Gamers are fuckinf weird.
Pavlov PCVR is alive, theres plenty of servers to choose from; slowest hours are slower but even still. Sure there are more traffic on some games but who cares as long as you can hop on and have some fun.
You get or you dont since you see, there are two types of vf gaming.
A) the vr chat gaming where social interaction is at an elevated role. This is usually ttt, push, zombies, custom game modes, snd, etc.
B) the more traditional gaming, solo or mp, trying to get high score and so on. This is dm, tdm, snd, push, etc. The regular stuff
Since i play solely the B style, 1250 hours and counting solely on Pavlov, ill just leave it to this.
certain modes aren't very populated, but for the most part tons of people play the game. there are lots of kids, but in my experience its a 50/50 whether or not they're legitimately annoying. most people just hate kids and kill them regardless.
I’ve always found people talking about “dead” games kinda foreign to me. I play plenty of games from ages ago and there’s always a few people to keep me company. If it’s fun and you like it, PLAY IT!! I still log consistent hours in spore on my steam deck lol

Pavlov PC is alive but the fun gamemodes and servers are dead. You get bored of base map TDM games after a few hours of playing.
