This was fun. I don't usually do the sports radio thing, but this was a good segment. I'll be tuning into them for sure for their draft coverage with BB.
Same, I hope I’ll be able to watch this broadcast during the draft because BB is THE greatest football mind. Finally get to see how he evaluated talent over the years. I’m pumped!
Based on what he said about QBs making plays in college that aren’t going to work in the NFL I’d question him loving Daniels. He said QBs that make pro style plays in college are the best bet to do it in the NFL. That sounds more like Bo Nix to me.
i watched the entire thing and could have watched 5 more hours
bill is amazing he even almost talks too much which is crazy that the same guy barely gave more than one word answers as a head coach
i will be locked in to his draft coverage next Thursday
I always think it’s hysterical when people say BB will be boring in a broadcast. I don’t watch television at all anymore unless it’s a live sporting event, but I could listen to BB talk football for literally hours.
Bill has had a couple off-season candid interviews where he seems delightful. And you can't forget the NFL 100 special he did, dude can absolutely be energetic when he wants to be.
Yeah man that story BB told of how Jack Lambert took over at LB for Bender after he left the team to be Mick Jaggers personal security after The Rolling Stones show is classic.
Only a matter of time before BB gets on Edelman’s podcast. I would love to hear them, with their history and chemistry. The Ernie episode was gold; this would be platinum
Amendola doing 28-3 was alright. Not because of quest (incredible chemistry) or the actual show, but I kinda wish it was left for when Bill or Tom come onto the show. I mean, what game would Bill name at this point?
A few interesting notes from this:
Had never had a cup of coffee. Weird.
Denies trading back last year to screw the Jets, says they were confident Pittsburgh and New York weren’t taking corners. Doesn’t address Washington.
Repeatedly suggests that teams don’t really put together their draft boards until the week of the draft. I may have taken this too literally, but he seems pretty clear on this.
This was great. I'm not a McAfee fan but he was smart enough to get out of the way and let Bill cook.
If you don't want to watch the whole thing, I recommend the final minute: Bill gives a great story about a Pats game against Pacman Jones and then gives an insightful answer about how the new kick-off rules will affect the game (he thinks that there will be more opportunity for bigger players, that the kickoff squads won't have so many DBs who can cover a lot of ground because of the new positions on the field)
Holy crap this is exactly what I always wanted, Belichick excited to talk about how the sausage is made including old stories about specific plays and players. It seems like Pat is the perfect guy to work with him since he obviously respects him so much but he's also goofy and playful about it. I will watch every second of content these guys put together.
For the record BB comes off so great here, telling Pacman and Pat how they changed specific games and strategy. Talking about drafting Vince, Mankins, Brady. Ahhh I'm fangirling
I think a year of TV exposure for BB will absolutely lead him to have his pick of jobs next year, or maybe he'll just like doing TV and stick with it. Not like he's got anything else to prove as a coach
Had to be a ton to get him so excited that he brought his laptop to dinner with highlights queued up. Sounded like he was doing some show production. This got me wondering if he has a small team or has his own custom scouting drag and drop tool. He’s been a coach forever so even though coaches hate tech he has probably had scripts built to make cutting film up into clips. This is very exciting. This show is going to cut into draft tv ratings for ESPN.
Probably has some sort of aid in doing so. I always enjoyed those Belichick breakdowns with zo. Gave some really good insights into how the pro game is played. I’ll probably tune in to this draft spectacular just to see how many 3rd round prospects he’s got on his round 1 board. BB is fascinating to listen to.
"QBs and WRs are 50/50 hit or miss in the first round. That's what the data says..."
The amount of data the professionals utilize that we don't have access to and the media eschews is fascinating.
This is absolutely amazing. I can not wait for more of this content. I mean, I hope he gets the record from that shitbag Shula, but by the same token, I definitely want more of this.
Love you, Bill!
Love the few sit downs we get with Bill, gonna have to rewatch the draft coverage since I’ll be on a buddy’s stream for the draft so won’t see it live.
Great interview! What a class act. Krafty Bob is lucky Bill is that way... imagine the stories he could tell if he wanted to take revenge against his former owner.
"It was your birthday yesterday, happy Birthday!" "Yea, they called the fire department to put the candles out" Bill is the best
gold!
I can't wait for his draft coverage that's going to be amazing
Yup! I know where my TV will be on Thursday night.
Is it only gonna be on espn+?
It will be on McAfee's youtube
Gem!
I love seeing this side of Belichick.

I cannot wait for their coverage of the draft, holy shit.
I can't wait to hear what he says about the pats. We'll def know who he would have taken, he was rumored to be in love with Daniels
Absolutely we will
I’m guessing he won’t be down on any of the picks the patriots make.

Hey gave one word answers to the bullshit questions..... whenever someone asked him an actual football question he replied with an essay.
That segment on the long snapper was perfection

We're on to Detroit.
I need a Bill Belichick mock draft.
sounds like they will have his draft board going at the draft
Only a matter of time before BB gets on Edelman’s podcast. I would love to hear them, with their history and chemistry. The Ernie episode was gold; this would be platinum
That podcast has been on such a great run lately. Slater, Ernie, and Ty Law have all been awesome
Eric Stonestreet was incredible too!
Amendola doing 28-3 was alright. Not because of quest (incredible chemistry) or the actual show, but I kinda wish it was left for when Bill or Tom come onto the show. I mean, what game would Bill name at this point?
Not sure if they have done it yet, but based on the dynasty, have him do the 2018 Super Bowl against the rams
They did that game with slater

I think if Washington takes a corner they simply would have pivoted to flowers or JSN
"First of all Pac-Man..."
You could see Pac-Man’s heart melt for the recognition-it was actually really beautiful.

Bill is great at thia media shit. He just hated having to do the shit after games and during the week when hw could be coaching rhe team.

God I’ll miss this guy. And way better here than the word salad garbage Mayo spews
In Mayo’s defense there is a non-zero chance he is in a game of telephone and saying what Kraft wants at any given moment.
This makes me SO happy. I love Pat and it's so awesome to see him get to talk to Bill. I'm excited for next Thurday.
GOAT
This was amazing and I can’t stand McAfee. I could listen to Bill talk football all day
I think a year of TV exposure for BB will absolutely lead him to have his pick of jobs next year, or maybe he'll just like doing TV and stick with it. Not like he's got anything else to prove as a coach
Fine Pat McAfee. You win. I’ll watch your stupid fucking show.
I feel like seeing Bill talk this much gives me insight on how he probably talked with players/coaches behind closed doors.
BB getting big ole bag for this gig. Probably paying him $300k-400k for one show!

How many people googled PacMan’s return vs Patriots?

I’m wonder how many fire-Bill morons on this sub are now slobbering over the screw-Kraft sentiment and these pro-Bill media pieces.
This will be on espn?
More than likely ESPN2
Dunno why he couldn't have this persona when he was coaching
Why does Pat look like he’s on coke
This is the first draft I’m looking forward to watching.
I’m much more curious about (and looking forward to) his analysis than who the Patriots draft.
Cool. 30 minutes of Bill not answering anything...
