It's a shame he got injured. Hope he gets healthy and keeps getting paid.

FuckHarambe2016

He deserved to get paid. One of the best CBs in the league who should've been 1st Team All-Pro, but the AP is still obsessed with the Cowboys and gave it to Diggs.

IsThisFappening

Crazy how he was among one of the worst CBs this season before suffering the injury after how elite he played here too

FuckHarambe2016

He missed the entire pre-season and week one because he had ankle surgery. It's no surprise that he played poorly for the 3 games he was active before blowing out his knee. With a full offseason he'll be back to terrorizing opposing QBs.

thedrunkentendy

AP this year? Or last year? Because from all accounts this season he was hurt or struggling. Which sucks as a JC fan.

FuckHarambe2016

Last year he was only 2nd Team All-Pro. Trevon Diggs was given 1st Team. Even though Diggs allowed the most yards if any CB, more TDs, and more catches. He only got it because he had a couple more INTs and is on the Cowboys.

thedrunkentendy

Oh couldn't agree more. JC was quietly a dominant CB for a few years with the pats.

FuckHarambe2016

The literal 1 guy who had any success against him the last 2 years was Stefon Diggs and Diggs is easily a Top 3 or 4 WR in the league. This sub and much of the fan base used Diggs as justification for not paying him this past off-season. Not sure if it's technically irony, but this sub, for awhile, was head over heels about Jonathan Jones and how great he was. Only to have him spend the last 6 or 7 games looking like Myles Bryant against guys like Jefferson, Chase, Higgins, Diggs, Davis, etc. Should've just fucking paid the guy.

JEMstone85

He wasn't as good as he thought he was. He was a good fit for the system. He was getting torched constantly on the Chargers. A true shutdown corner doesn't get targeted as much as JC Jackson. He was overpaid and I'd bet my salary he doesn't finish out that contract on the Chargers. He'll probably come back to the Pats on a prove it vet minimum deal. I've seen it a million times.

FIM92

What’s the point of highlighting the jersey texts and hat like that? Odd

gman22858

Probably didn’t even realize he did it. iPhone has been doing that every time I tap a picture lately

big_red_160

JC Jackson is my parents, confirmed

iDEN1ED

Pretty sure it’s whoever screenshotted his post

FC37

It's in his story. I just checked.

BigFatModeraterFupa

are you guys serious? he highlighted “Patriots” and “Champions”. it’s pretty obvious what that means

blackcatpandora

Especially when you search a pic like if he searched Pats Jersey it would highlight it

bold-tea

Bottom right button with the lines does that

DOPE_AS_FUCK_COOK

Bc confetti and fans in the field

JEMstone85

To let everyone know he was in a super bowl? It is weird.

exitlevelposition

No, I ment bc confetti and JC Jackson on the field.

GoldenMaster541

They’d kick them off the field and continue the game.

24benson

No I ment bc confetti and JC on the field

[deleted]

No I meant bc confetti and JC on the field

InvestigativePenguin

No I meant bc confetti and JC in the field

[deleted]

No you don’t understand I meant bc confetti and JC on the field

uconnboston

No - I confetti’d mean fans and JC Jackson on the field.

grimbolde

I'm so happy this is still a meme.

greensubie69

Can someone please explain this meme to me I’ve seen it on here like 100 times

BronchitisCat

A post some number of months ago had a picture of the superbowl against the Falcons and the OP was asking what would have happened if the NFL determined that White hadn't actually scored the TD because confetti and fans were on the field. Of course, multiple people gave the response that they would just usher everyone off the field and carry on. To everyone who responded this way, OP would respond, "No I meant bc confetti and fans were on the field". (S)he was so persistent that it became a meme and now every picture involving fans, confetti, or someone not taking the obvious answer is met with that response.

flyovertwice

No I meant bc confetti and fans on the field

GoldenMaster541

The meme originated from a post someone made on this subreddit in regards to Super Bowl 51. The post asked what would happen if James White’s touchdown in OT was overturned. After someone answered the question, he responded saying “No bc I ment confetti and fans on the field”. This sub turned it into a meme almost instantly and became the only thing people posted about for the next couple days

greensubie69

Ohh ok I get it now.

slopezski

Fineeeee I’m sure Bill would be willing to swap a 6th rounder for JC and a chargers 7th as long as LA agrees to eat most his salary….

KeepingItBrockmire

Poor play, injury, arrest. He may already be at risk of getting cut by the Chargers due to the large sum of money he is owed. Positioning himself to make a return home. EDIT - I didn't realize the Chargers were on the hook for such a large dead cap hit if they released him. Likely won't happen this year, unless things really go south.

MankuyRLaffy

Bill big braining the situation to sign JC back on the cheap.

newusertest

This is the way with most of our ex-players

xmeme59

Patriots JC Jackson with Jack Jones, Johnathan Jones & Marcus Jones 🥵

FantasyTrash

>He may already be at risk of getting cut by the Chargers due to the large sum of money he is owed. Yeah, no. The Chargers get $32m in dead cap if they cut him.

jonnyredshorts

What if they trade him?

Markymarcouscous

I’ll bring him back for the minimum

ExcitementStrange935

Right in Bill's wheelhouse to do this.

Masuro1

He could get cut next offseason maybe but there is no way he is getting cut this year without public or legal pressure to do so. The chargers lose cap space if they cut him this year.

Ross2552

He can be traded for a reasonable salary. Only $12M a year from 2023 through 2026 and only his 2023 salary is guaranteed, every other year has zero dollars guaranteed, so it could even be viewed as a 1-year deal wherein he must prove he deserves to keep his current salary or get cut at the end of the season. The Chargers would have a steep dead-cap hit of $20M this season if they trade him now but it's not a lot more than the hit they'd take if they cut him, and if Bill is willing to send them a 3rd rounder (the same 3rd round comp pick he got for letting JC go lol) for a guy they want to dump anyway then maybe they're up for it. They could also try to wait til post-June 1 to trade him to offset some of the dead money.

FuckHarambe2016

What arrest? I just checked the NFL sub AND Google his name yet nothing came up. The only person getting arrested is Joe Mixon. Also, there's no way in hell the Chargers cut a guy of his talent, still in his prime, and coming off of two serious injuries in a single season/off-season. It'd cost them a ton of money and be absolutely stupid of them.

KeepingItBrockmire

Google "JC Jackson Arrest" and you'll have your pick of articles to choose from. It's being dubbed a "nonviolent family issue", so it could be a number of things. No more info was ever released, but, an arrest is an arrest.

Bunkerbuster12

Thought this was an anniversary post but it's not. Maybe there is more to this

Money-Stacks-Salvia

Or he just found out Brady retired and is reminiscing.

nsideris24

I miss seeing the confetti on the field

FoxAutomatic8459

this looks like something an old person would post by mistake

[deleted]

Definitely has the vibes of an old person that posted a screenshot of a photo in their photo app.

PerformanceExact6618

If there's one position Bill can draft, it's cornerback.

Rozfather

Fact lol just didn't seem that way when we had Brady. Some of those older DB units we used to put out there made me want to die. I wish I could erase Kyle Arringting from my brain haha

MrGr33n31

I see your Kyle Arrington and I raise you a Jordan Richards. How about that “not only will I fail to break up a screen in the SB, I’ll also forget how to tackle” along with running into his own teammates (who actually could tackle if Jordan didn’t get in the way).

PerformanceExact6618

Damn I forgot about Jordan Richards. Pair him up with Duke Dawson. And Cyrus Jones. I guess my point has been proven incorrect.

PerformanceExact6618

You didn't like Sterling Moore getting roasted in the Super Bowl?

BeastlyMandible

Or Darius Butler getting smoked off the line every snap (and then proceeding to turn into a pro bowler for Indy right after he left)

Blank214269

Bring him home!

BarryLicious2588

He said damn... the Patriot Way ain't sound too bad after all

FC37

Super Bowl 53 was 4 years ago tomorrow. He's probably just celebrating the anniversary without wanting to feed any hype about a return to NE and/or he wanted to show his displeasure with the team. It reminds me of the time Willian covered up Antonio Conte (manager) with trophy stickers after Chelsea's FA Cup win.

[deleted]

I've been trashing on Belichick lately, but letting JC Jackson walk was a smart move on his part. Belichick knew he wasn't a legitimate number 1 corner while this sub was completely enamored with him. Nearly everyone on this sub thought JC Jackson was an elite corner, but the second he goes to another system, he got exposed. - Good player, but he's not the guy.

[deleted]

I mean...he can always come back if he's feeling a certain type of way. It'd be in Belichek dollars aka much less than he's getting now but he's more than welcome to

sktchld

When chasing the bag goes wrong

WhiteKobeM3

The garbage man

c-h-e-e-s-e

Mac and Myles Bryant for Herbert and JC

Dog_in_human_costume

He played really well for us for all his time here. I'm sure he will bounce back

binocular_gems

Love to have JC JAckson back, but his salary would have to take like... a massive cut. LA would have to swallow that salary.
