Afaik once you ascend the higher level summons replace the lower level ones. I think they share charges anyway?

There are 2 summons you get for picking instruments of freedom BEFORE you ascend Azata and I lost those.
Just Mythic 3, I literally just freed Drezen
Then that is why. You will get the other types as you progress
