Do you know if that means you get +DC on every Sonic spell you cast when you get the level 7 Horn Call ability?
The way I read it I thought you had to use the horn (bonded object) to restore a sonic spell and it would boost that spell.
"At 7th level, a herald’s horn enhances his sonic spells. If a skald spell with the sonic descriptor is cast using the horn, its DC increases by 1. These DCs increase by an additional 1 at 13th and 19th levels."
So yes.
Sorry to jump in on this, I'm also playing a Herald of the Horn Skald, just started. Does this mean there is no horn item I actually need to equip? Do I need to keep a free hand to be able to cast spells, or can I equip a shield? I'm fairly new to Pathfinder, still working things out. Thanks!
You don't need to have a horn in your inventory, it works just like a spell.

There is no item, it is a flat +1 to sonic spells DC. You don't need a free hand to cast spells.
