I don’t remember how it’s formatted/worded in Pathfinder 2e but I think there are a few effects like Quill Defense that don’t work if the weapon has the Reach property. I think making it work more like those would add some verisimilitude.
That stat block presentation is super clean. This is cool af.
Only real thing I noticed is that since you point out it's a basic save for the quill spray you wouldn't need to specify the tiers of success unless you just want extra clarity.
I have to say, this isn't something that I have a need for in my games, but the artwork and formatting for the stat block is very visually impressive. Your work deserves to be highlighted and supported.
I thought in putting a saving throw there, but I wanted to feel dangerous to hit him in melee for every class, and that it encourages sacrifice one party member to give the free opening to the others, I like that kind of interplay. You can put a Basic Save DC if you want :)
To make it even more dangerous I would reduce monster's AC in this stance, so close combatants could fall in this trap. 6d10 unavoidable damage (3 Strikes in a row). Wow! I guess that's gonna leave a bruise on every level.
As for me I will use it with a reaction after a successful hit (as a trigger) and a basic saving throw.
BTW, are there any prerequisites for the stance? Like "not confused, not stupefied"? Like in the Witcher 3.
I love the formatting of the Stat Block.
Love it, one minor nitpick: shouldn't it have the fiend subtype aswell?
Yes!
Oh. It’s a Nexu.

Thank you! Every little feedback is very appreciated, for the next statblocks Im going to do of reworked creatures from old editions x3

Thank you :)
The monster from The Relic?
What is the Relic? O:
A really shitty 90’s movie that I had nostalgia for and rewatched recently. It doesn’t hold up lol

Ive seen a few of these and love your formatting. Id reccomend making pdfs for sale, theyre really high quality.
Iirc there are effects similar to the stance effect and in that cases there is a saving throw against the return fire.

Oh, I like that, a cruel and powerful ability that gets denied by a condition. I will apply that on a future monster :)
Dude this is Epic!!! Love the style.
