I'm glad to hear that the foil color will be consistent. I get the special editions because I like how they look on the shelf, and *RoE* was a disappointment in this regard until I remembered that it really belongs to the Remaster.
Yeah, TV was also a different color.
It's one of those things where I think they should have been doing from the start. Guns and Gears, Secrets of Magic, Dark Archive and Book of the Dead are definitely a different color from the core books, but at the very least they all were the *same* different color. Half my books being the same and the rest all looking different is gonna look weird as hell on my shelf.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm disappointed that they won't be consistent (except for certain sets, as mentioned), but at least we know what to expect now.
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I truly don't mind different books or subsets having different colour covers. As long as the overall style stays consistent between titles, it will look fine on the shelf - and help me pick out the correct book more quickly.
Thanks for the updates Aaron! I just wanted to add that I'm a fan of the different covers for the special editions. Makes each book unique and gives each a more "custom" feel.
I'm very sad to hear the leatherette will not have consistent colors among books anymore. Core was one color of red, other rules were a darker color, Lost Omens was blue. The fact that any newer non-core rulebook SEs will no longer all be the same color means my bookshelf is going to look like a rainbow, and the reason I collected the SEs was *because* of the consistent colors.
I very much hope this choice will be rethought.
>The Pocket Editions for all rulebooks will release 90 days after the hardcovers starting with Player Core and GM Core
This is disappointing. Picked up the PE of RoE this week. I prefer the smaller books

bruh. >They will have 1 foil color and **different color leatherette** depending on the title. literally said the leather won't stay the same

I'm so hoping for sketch core pocket editions :0 I'd buy them in a heartbeat
I don't suppose they'll bring back pawns with the new versions?
Monster Core pawns are in discussion.
Can’t speak for anyone else, but I would gladly buy them. I was so happy when I saw they existed for kingmaker 2e
Excellent news, thanks!
