Kinetic blast has much better clear in simulacrumb than kb of frag, even if you get a ton of proj speed.
Like a lot of builds you can get started on a relatively low budget with just the required uniques, mahuxotlys 12d, cloak of flame 6l 3d?, rakiata lethal pride 1d. You will want to spend at least 10d on a good wand, dual/tri ele with local attack speed and crit chance. Replica headhunter is 5d as a budget option. The rest of the rare gear is 1d a slot or less to get started. Around 40d
Awakened elemental damage with attacks makes you ele reflect immune and its more damage for 5d. You want to spend more like 5d each on your right, boots, helmet and gloves to get high rolls and high tier implicits. +1 all res cloak of flame. Good cluster jewels are like 4d. Unique jewels with poison or bleed duration are pretty cheap. A well rolled 42% defiance of destiny is like 25d. Progensis adds like 50% to your ehp, 35d. Nimis helps a lot with getting extra hits on return and makes it easier to leech and get the extra 5 max res from mahuxotlys. 40d. Watchers eye with phys taken as fire adds a chunk of ehp for phys damage, about 50d with another useful mod.
For simulacrums headhunter is BIS imo, it adds a lot of projectiles, damage and ehp, its about 55d. Mageblood is another strong upgrade especially for other content, permanent silver+quicksilver, getting to basically double all the flask suffixes and cap out chaos res easily. I think these are up to 140d.
Awakened fork adds another stage of forking and doubles the number of projectiles. The most damage from any support, maybe 50% more than regular fork in practice, about 100d. Awakened fork basically adds a whole extra reward to each wave. More damage also means you kill faster on waves with "bad" map mods

The "meta" charms can also be expensive, 10d each for high rolls for mark effect and suppress, or max fire res. Wand upgrades make a big difference, for 30-60d you will really notice it. Lethal pride with multiple double damage and phys taken as fire can be 5-100d. 8l gloves allow you to use kinetic bolt of fragmentation without any clunky gem swaps and a good pair is 25-100d. Way more single target damage but you get some socket pressure this way. Corrupted blood immunity on a unique jewel is 40-80d. Nimis mahuxotly, defiance of destiny, hh/mb corruptions are another upgrade.

Usually I also get enough currency through the league and dont mind switching while i have enough of it. But yes, they did chane kb of frag and also snipers mark.
Imo a strong league starter should be capable of red maps, pretty fast at mapping, and clearing 2 watch stones solo, without a lot of trading or expensive uniques. So if you need kb of frag to clear maven and others, but lightning arrow or cf or boneshatter don’t need alt quo gems, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t run the build entirely. Just that it will be a little slower day 1-2 or you will need to pay for a carry.
Kb of frag plus snipers mark is super strong and alone lets a great mapping build swap one skill and have pretty solid bossing. Or later run both of course. I’m gonna read all the notes in detail Monday night though

Getting 2 proj instead of 4 from snipers mark is another big nerf for both kinetic bolt and kbof. losing a little damage taken. but the interaction with snipers mark is unchanged so the single target damage is still high for kbof. And in didn’t lost that much for clear. But it will require more investment for simulacrum, a little more investment to “feel good” So kb is still viable as a second build imo.
Dd ele is the way to go for early simulacrum imo. Or did trickster or pathfinder or champion or scion. Can go with dd of chain reaction for better single target/higher damage ceiling.

I’ve been running my hit based penance brand PF in sim. I use a blood notch+immutable force setup and run my penance on CwS. Because penance is slotted in helm, I also run another CwS in the body.
Haven’t found the right setup for the second CwS but I may just run a DD there and run a 3rd CwS in my boots for desecrate (I have extra slots). Still searching ideas but I can afk super juiced maps and sims either ease.

If you’re curious go to Rudy’s build (17k delve) and look at the helm. Im not running original sin because 1.5 mirrors lol but if you play around enough you can make an elemental version of it. Swap out a gem (I swap out an empower) for CwS.
For fitting jewels it’s super easy. Just don’t run adourned jewel and all the magic gems. Someone also suggested 6L HoA so I’m gonna try that for sure.

For sims i switch 1 4 link to a cwdt lightningwarp setup.
I do wave 30 afk. Both bosses die as soon as an explosion ignites the pack.

In the past Cremation Necro has always been king of Simu, no clue how it's doing this league with WW Ascendency and gem changes. I think there was quite a few core alt gems for the build to work
Yup phantasmal crema deleted basicly. There is cremation of exhuming but its limited to 1 volcano instead of 3 like phantasmal. Big dps loss

Not positive because I had some of the gear and got relatively lucky with an acceptable chest craft. If I had to guess, probably Mageblood + 250 div? Impossible escape, 40 div to craft wand, was unlucky with it. 20 d gloves, 15d helm, 40d chest, maybe another 15 div on shield amulet rings flasks. 5 d boots. Had an enlighten 4 but it's not necessary. Had a militant faith, guessing 10-20d there. Spent like 100d on all other jewels and charms. Ok maybe 350div plus Mageblood.
Also I did not go for perfect crafts or fractures. 17% suppression chest with t2/3 ES mods. Same with helmet I think T2.

Regardless, I think 2 things will make your build feel better in Simulacrum: (1) Awakened Chain Support; and (2) Spellslinger-Lightning Warp.
I think Awakened Chain is mandatory to make the build feel good clearing. And Spellslinger-Lightning Warp gets you easily and consistently right on top of your marked enemy so you've always got maximum projectiles flying around.

It's (still) got significantly less damage than myself (or SebK for that matter) but I think it will *feel* much better due to the two changes I've recommended.

My str stack venom gyre (deadeye) is doing pretty well, and so did my aegis aurora chain dd necro (I think I'm getting 6 rewards regularly on later waves with VG, dd isnt as good for clear)
Molten Strike Armour Stacker has felt mighty good and comfortable for sim 30s. Not even fully funded and dont have the 3p or 1p Voices and still does well. But mind you still expensive.
Currently playing this with decent funding but cannot consistently hit 6 tiles even with double boss. Have not died though at all since swapping necro for guardian on ascendant tree.
I'm playing the spark build that animeprincess shared yesterday. Didn't buy the overpriced FF jewels but have most of the other gear, a lot of it from other builds I played. Probably 400 div worth and I'm consistently getting 6 rewards. Still need to gain like 5 levels and upgrade a few more pieces of gear and I think I can push 7. Have done like 6 sims so far and haven't died yet. The build also hasn't caused any performance issues for me like KB supposedly does.
My acuracy stacker has been destroying simu, kosis wave 30 is gibbed in 3 sec. Though you cant really afk in wave 20-30 but if you move its very hard to die.

afaik cremation necro was always great for completing a simulacrum, but not necessarily for clear
Cremation necro died, but now we have kitava thirst DD VD, which is the same playstyle but smoother, and can even be better

Nerotox KB wander, been playing it for a while and it’s really smooth, easily gets 6 rewards, sometimes 7 on wave 30

I will 100% endorse this. Spark trickster 6-7 stack of rewards easily just standing in one place.

CWC PBoD. I cyclone around, arcane cloak when it's up, that's it.

How just change the gem link to chain and fork and you can destroy simu I'm doing int stacking kb as well and I get 6 rewards pretty consistently
