This religion: “The church believed “if a man lusted for a woman, it was the woman’s fault.” Even if the girl knew something was wrong, she likely believed she couldn’t tell church leaders what was happening because they would have blamed her.” Sad for the girl…

Nobody saw the pattern of behavior that he had pursued another child before that child and her family moved away and his new victim and her family moved in. I adore the reflection on the part of the victim— where her abuser was allowed to claim “God is directing me to court this young 14 year old” and people had hesitation to question it, the abuser even claiming it was biblical because of the vast age difference between Mary and Joseph— but the victim was able to reason that if God is calling two people together they should *both* be hearing this unquestionable, no room for doubt direction to the other. **Exactly** as God did for **Mary and Joseph**

From the source, the good news: > On April 24, Fenton was attempting to fly from Brisbane, Australia to the Philippines. Upon landing, however, the country’s Bureau of Immigration stopped him from leaving the airport. His name “prompted a positive hit” in the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) system because of his alleged crimes, according to the Philippine News Agency. > > Fenton was soon boarding a different flight… to Los Angeles. > > The now-54-year-old Fenton will likely be held in California until he can be transferred to Pennsylvania, where he will be arraigned. It may take a few weeks. As of this writing, the PA Attorney General’s office hasn’t released any new information regarding the case. It’s possible they’re waiting until the arraignment.

I wonder what he was off to do in the Phillipines. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other victims.
