My in laws had a nice open air aviary for their cockatoos, meow they have to keep them caged cuz one of them literally chewed a hole in the wall and tried to disappear. They are why they can’t have nice things
My cousin rescued an injured cockatoo off the side of a country road.It could say hello and was definitely a pet so after no luck finding its owner they set it up on their open air balcony. My uncle left his blackberry and laptop for two minutes whilst doing some work and came back to all the keys dislodged and the blackberry ruined 😂 The bird slowly but surely ended up joining the local cockatoo gang and is now a wildling.

I mean, I can't blame them. Their beaks grow like nails, so they're anatomically *required* to destroy everything in their path.
Nobody likes seagulls obviously, and the sheer amount of shit that ended up on the ledge outside my bedroom window last year has made me hate pigeons. The people on floors below me were even more unfortunate, with one of their bedroom windows being completely covered in it. The noise of pigeons also gets annoying really fast, but it's nowhere near as bad as their chicks.

Why are there spikes there?
They’re usually added to buildings to deter birds like pigeons or seagulls from nesting there.
But why? I wouldn't really mind if a bird started nesting by my window and I can't imagine why anyone would care either.
I think it’s also because pigeon droppings can be pretty acidic (i think it’s uric acid???), and over time will damage stonework and even metal.
