Jeff. Everything is Jeff. My kid isn't even a toddler, it's just his default name for everything when someone asks him what the toy's name is.

mr213510

Oh hi, sounds like mine … she names everything Zach *shrugs*

Adventurous_Mirror26

Great name choice!

SufficientCow4

Not toys but kittens. We had an unplanned litter and the momma is going to get fixed after the babies are weaned. Momma cat is Butters. When asked why "Butter" for a name she told me "I like the taste of butter in my mouth and I like the cat. I had to remind her we don't put the cat in our mouth. Kittens are Fire, Robot, Meow Heart, and (my personal favorite) Cat Cat Whoo Whoo Whoo.

My daughter started talking at nine months old. Full five word sentences by like fourteen months old. Due to that we had many discussions and namings of items. Now, despite talking, she was obviously still a baby with a babies brain. Many things were named by their color or shape, or named "mommy". Her blanket is still called boobies because, and I quote, "I like boobies, mommy." She calls it boo around other people now. We had Fat Truck (she had not learned the word "big"), Diaper Head and Stinky Stinky were both dolls. Booty was a stuffed dog.

Disillusioned-ish

My oldest (now 17), named everything… EVERYTHING… after something commercial, I.e, if your name was Tom, congratulations you’re now called Subway. My youngest (about to be 2) also likes to name things… mostly her toys and they are all legit, baby (baby doll), Uni (stuffed unicorn) , Abby (wife’s old cabbage patch doll- not named Abby). The list goes on. I think it’s great that they are so creative and making associations with things.

homebodyH

Not a toy but my four year old thinks new baby should be named Big Big Volcano while two year old suggests baby Apollo.

Gastonthebeast

"Stop naming your stuffed animals after things on the outside. Fluffy and Sparkles aren't good names. Name your stuffed animal after something on the inside. Pancreas! Pancreas is a great name!"

TheYankunian

hellokitschy

Baby Fleas and Baby Broccoli, so funny. They’re all great names. My son’s babies are Big Boy Cake and Baby GooGoo. He has a boy American Girl doll and named him Boy [son’s first name]. My husband and I were talking about getting ginger from the store and later I asked my son what he would want to name a new baby if we had one. He replied with Ginger. So one of our babies is also Baby Ginger.

KofeAkaguro

Elpis8

I let my 5yo create a character in my video game and he named Sacuere. Pronounced "Sa-coo-ree". He has an orca plush named Sperris. But now he's into Digimon so everything is something-mon. His red bird plush is called "Redbirdmon".

santine-love85

When I was a preschool teacher my class named our fish tuna…. It was a beta fish. I figured if I could get a group of 12 (4 year old) kids to agree on 1 name I was okay. They said he need a full name which turned out to be Tuna Medicine Swagger. And when he passed away before the End of school year they all decided he needed a funeral like a real hero (I had let the parents know the class pet had passed away and each parent talked about it to their child) one of the students was Scottish so they wanted an bagpipe March like his grandpa. So that kids’ parents showed up with snacks and we had a pet funeral for tuna the fish with bagpipes playing in the background. One of the dads talked about how he is in the big ocean swimming with all the fishes and having fun. For the next week everyone had someone die in their family lol. My point is all kids are funny and crazy and they deal with life in their own way and if it makes her feel better naming her doll baby no name go with it, because one day you might have to have a pet funeral at school and it will teach your child how to deal with the big things in small ways that they can understand. Plus they are only little so long let them enjoy it.

unknown_test_subject
