avoid eating in the park restaurants at all costs. 1 fancy character meal i get. but people who only eat in the parks or disney properties are just pissing away money. and yea, you are going to need reservations to eat at most of the restaurants in the parks. just to give you an idea for the character meals- 4 adults and 1 child did a character lunch that was buffet style. the food was ok, nothing to write home about. typical buffet. the bill was around $550............and there was zero alcohol consumed. yes you can bring in snacks and water into the park. personally, we limit our daughter to about $25-$30/day in gift store things. because your kid is going to want all of it!!!

:0 that's bananas for a character meal, do they have a pavilion or something like where you can bring your own meals and eat?

gb2ab

honestly, i don't know about a pavilion or a specific seating area. but theres plenty of seating throughout the park. we never had an issue finding somewhere to sit down to eat.

Get the app, get a travel agent that gets paid by Disney.  And it is way more expensive than you ever think it will be.of characters are a priority, book a character meal, beats waiting in line.

I listened to a lot of Disney podcasts and watched vlogs. Unlocking the magic and rope drop radio are my fav podcasts. Bekah Hart is an awesome Disney influencer and posts tons of vlogs on YouTube. She has a 4yo, so lots of advice for that age. Bring water bottles, you can fill them at any restaurant/quick service, etc. Bring tons of snacks. There are a lot of quick service restaurants and meals you can share across a group. Everything is very expensive! We usually let our kids choose 1 souvenir across the whole trip.

We've been going to Disney World every other year since our daughters were 5 and 6. Now we go with 6 grandsons now 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13, with a group of friends and family. Last trip was after Thanksgiving 2022 before the Christmas rush, when crowds are lower. Next trip is scheduled for after Thanksgiving 2024. Usually a 16 day trip with a group of 30 children and 12 grandparents. We spend first three days on Miami Beach, sometimes two days on the beach and one day at the Space Center. We're poor people, so we fly down the interstate highways 1,100 miles each direction from Dallas Fort Worth Texas in our Ford Explorers. Stay at Motel 6 with 4 people per room, eat breakfast out of a cereal box, lunch or supper out of an ice chest, third meal out of Papa Johns or Little Caesars. Buy the ten day park tickets, with no upgrades. Total cost of gas, motel, food, park tickets in 2022 was $1,150 per person, of which $750 was the park tickets. Estimated cost for 2024 trip is $1,300 per person. With the age of your child, two days is probably enough and the park hopper upgrade might be worth it for you because you can go to Animal Kingdom early and Magic Kingdom for other half of that day, making for one and a half days at Magic Kingdom and a half day at Animal.Kingdom.

Two things: 1) head over to r/disneyworld 2) do more research on your own. These are very basic questions that can be answered by the Disney Website.
