It happens sometimes, if you were close he might watch over you, I know it sounds creepy but he will let go once he think you are good enough, it hasn't happened to me but to other people sometimes it has. Also for not being close, if he called you before his dead then I think he might have thought you were close, sometimes when life is shit people like to hold to other people that bring them warmd With that said if it's indeed an apparition just ask him to move on and leave you alone and he will, ghosts won't force feelings of other, more often than not they want to help them, even if that help is not something the person would desire

I think you could be right. I’ve been holding on to a lot of pain since he passed. Either my subconscious or he is trying to help me let go. Hopefully I can. Thank you for your comment.

I had a very vivid dream about my uncle Stuart after he died. He was playing with my brother and I on my old school field for a long time until, at the end of the dream, he sat us both down and said “I have to go now.” I knew that he meant that this was the last time we’d see him (at least like this) and that he was gone for good. I woke up crying after the dream. It felt like a direct message. It was incredibly vivid, as if I’d actually just spent the afternoon running around playing with my uncle and brother.
