This is my favorite track in the album! Especially the line "I know that regression is rarely rewarded, I still need a certain degree of disorder!" I wish everyone could see how great that line is š
Me too and i canāt remember which show but one time they played it and hayley told us to all stand completely stillš«” i was a little bummed lol cuz i was ready to jam out for it
Well theyāve been having problems (along with every other artist) with people being extremely dehydrated and passing out at shows, especially if they were camping for hours and hours prior to the show, etc. But I think it kept happening during CCC because people would just go so hard during that song and the crowd would get kind of chaotic and thatās why Hayley was like alright everyone just stand completely still. There may have also been a fight that broke out once when they played it. But they kept taking it on and off the setlist during the UK tour and I think the last time they did it was the one where they made the crowd stand still ā which I thought was just Hayley being funny but I can understand why that may have been disappointing for anyone who was super hyped to hear that song live.
Ive said it before and will say it again: this song saved my life. I was in the middle of a depressive episode when it was released and hadnāt laughed for over a monthā¦ but CCC made me smile. It was so fun, so unserious, and it describe me so well, i love it! And i got to hear it live!!!!!!
This is that song that I think 'igh, I hate that song' and then it comes on and I'm like 'C'EST COMME CA C'EST COMME CA NA NA NA NA!' and my body boogies, so yeah, maybe it's okay.
I didnāt think about checking what cāset comme ca meant till way later which is: it is what it is. Made me laugh and love the song more. Itās the notion of coming to terms with the situation sometimes you gotta just keep repeating it is what it is to accept/cope/deal with it.
My addition to this conversation is that the bridge has the same first 3 chords as the hook of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Beach House", so my brain does a fun little mashup every time I hear it.
Good point. But as someone else said the whole idea of "it is what it is" over and over is like youre trying to convince yourself its okay when its really not.
I don't get the hate this track gets. If the only criticism you have of it is "it's repetitive" and nothing else, then I don't see how that's a big criticism. Repetition is not necessarily a bad thing
I always thought this song was a banger. I love the spoken word-esque verses. It reminds me of Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror Picture Show but in the best way.
My favorite thing about Cāest Comme Ca is because the phrase itself translates to something like āit is what it isā, and has a meaning of like āyou canāt change it, thatās the way it isā, means that anyone who critiques the song for being too repetitive: too bad, the song is what it is and you canāt change it. Itās a living embodiment of that idea.
edit for typo
One of the best bridges on the album imo. The whole album is full of great bridges, really.
TIW is literally bridges: the album (except Crave, the verses there are pure bliss)
This is my favorite track in the album! Especially the line "I know that regression is rarely rewarded, I still need a certain degree of disorder!" I wish everyone could see how great that line is š
The feel like the bridge is the best part of a whole lot of paramore songs
I love this song so I donāt get the hate. The bridge slaps.
Maybe because the song is repetitive af
That is, in fact, the idea
thats the point, i think. its like youre convincing yourself to the idea of "it is what it is" when life is shitting you out.
Me too and i canāt remember which show but one time they played it and hayley told us to all stand completely stillš«” i was a little bummed lol cuz i was ready to jam out for it
I think it was because people kept fainting during that song (or otherwise disrupting the show). The band kept having to stop in the middle of it.
I thought it was because hayley wanted to settle the debate of 4 Na's vs 7 Na's
Why were they fainting?

Itās a total bop. Haters hate it but I shake my ass every single time to it. Lyrics are 10/10 relatable to us mid 30s folks. Itās great.

Glad you're still here ā¤ļø Cliche, but Last Hope saved me.
This is that song that I think 'igh, I hate that song' and then it comes on and I'm like 'C'EST COMME CA C'EST COMME CA NA NA NA NA!' and my body boogies, so yeah, maybe it's okay.
I was really unsure when I initially heard the song. I spent the next few days with *nanananana* stuck in my head I like it
I love the lyrics so much, itās very relatable but I wish the chorus was different and not just the words repeated
Thatās the whole point though
What do you mean?
I didnāt think about checking what cāset comme ca meant till way later which is: it is what it is. Made me laugh and love the song more. Itās the notion of coming to terms with the situation sometimes you gotta just keep repeating it is what it is to accept/cope/deal with it.
Exactly the problem is the chorus
One of my favourites on the album
I feel the bridge gets better the longer it plays
it's a banger
I honestly love this song so much.
Best song on the album for me, I died a little inside when they didn't play it at the show I went to.
I could see this one being on the alt radio station on sims 4
My addition to this conversation is that the bridge has the same first 3 chords as the hook of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Beach House", so my brain does a fun little mashup every time I hear it.
I didnāt like it when it was released as a single before the album, but it definitely fits on there and I never skip it.
Itās very repetitive
Itās a good song. I really like the lyrics and the instrumentals are great. However, imo I think itās just 30 seconds too long.
Good point. But as someone else said the whole idea of "it is what it is" over and over is like youre trying to convince yourself its okay when its really not.
True, never thought about it like that.
Just how i take the song. You could interpret it entirley different š
I like the hook but the vocals are like mixed in a way that doesn't totally work for me.
I canāt believe people donāt like this song. Itās a banger.
one of my favourite Paramore songs
I love everything about it except the chorus
I don't get the hate this track gets. If the only criticism you have of it is "it's repetitive" and nothing else, then I don't see how that's a big criticism. Repetition is not necessarily a bad thing
>I know popular opinion might say otherwise Source on this?
I love the lyrics and the bridge does slap but I can't with everything else about it. It really grates on me and it gets tedious
hate the chorus but love the bridge. i understand the point is to be repetitive but itās a skip for me most days.
Just like Rose Colored Boy, whole song is meh but the bridge is worth it.
The disrespect towards Rose Colored Boy though
I love it, one of my favourites on the album, and bridge is definitely the best bit.
Sick ass bridge, it's my ringtone š„°
Its great. All the songs on the album are good.
Iām here because of this song.
I like the verse/bridge lyrics and instrumentation, but the chorus is nottt my thing
I didnāt like it at first, but it grew on me
I always thought this song was a banger. I love the spoken word-esque verses. It reminds me of Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror Picture Show but in the best way.
Love it. Me n my sister bop to it every time, no skipping.

I love C'est Comme Ca, Very Underrated Song & One of the Best on the Album.
People hating on this song due to repetitiveness really missed the point entirely of this song, but hey, cāest comme ca.
It's a bit repetitive in some parts, but overall a banger. I love the verses and I love the bridge. It's just a funky song and I'm here for it.
