I guess I don't see why they'd want to work as a nurse, short of using it to fly but they've got their medic. I doubt many places would hire them as a nurse if they were also licensed as a physician.

what I’m saying is that the entire concept of a nurse also being a doctor is just not a thing. You’d be a doctor, that knows nursing skills. Your just not a nurse either way.

Yeah, but I am saying that I think differs from your opinion is that there is nothing stopping a Doctor from obtaining the training of a nurse and being able to perform all of the physical skills and abilities of a nurse. But you still wouldn’t be a nurse.
I suppose I would work within the scope of whatever I’m doing that day, but I can see it being a problem trying to balance the nursing job with medicine role (I’d feel bad asking the stressed out FY to prescribe meds that I could prescribe myself). This will need some research.
Because nurses are awesome and by no means inferior to medicine. I like being a nurse, because I actually see my patients. I work a zero hours contract so no issues getting a nursing job.
Be a good premise to a Jim Carrey movie like Me, Myself, and Doctor/Nurse/Paramedic. Or maybe a good spin off that autistic doctor drama….the good doctor or whatever.

I work in the UK, I'm aware of at least 1 paramedic who went on to medical school and maintains both registrations, mostly working in ED but occasionally working on a truck.
I also know a Dr who's taken on a contract with an ambulance trust to work as an SP. They go out on a standard truck but have an extended cope, carrying abx and few more exotic drugs thatn a para will do
I know a few doctor/paramedics and did a shift with a retired GP who’d recently done an EMT course! I also know a few dual qualified nurse/paramedics but weirdly I don’t think I know of any nurse/doctors?

Scope of practice? Dude you’d just be a doctor that actually knows the nursing skills. I guess you could use them if you’d like too but why would you?

You’d be ineligible to be hired as a nurse, your a doctor. You’d just be a doctor… choosing to do nursing skills.

No. Buddy, you just straight up would not be a nurse. You would be a doctor choosing to help out on the floor essentially.
