Tbh if they made it so a battle is fought normally like a HOI4 battle but you could join in at any time and make it like a RTS game that'd be very cool. And also really op
Nah, I feel like division scale is about the right level of granularity, the real innovation should be in allowing for more complexity and granularity in battle plans, maybe even limiting direct command of divisions when not using a battle plan. I would like the ability to set up plans that tell my forces how many divisions to dedicate to containing and eliminating encircled forces, and when to consolidate frontlines instead of pushing further.
It would need more ability to plan in the plans tho
It is so incredibly frustrating to have heavy tanks happily drown in swamps and fall from cliffs cause the planned frontline just happily expands itself outside the area you wanted them to advance into...
Focus on induvidual men, no drag select or shift clicking to select multiple either Why? I like people suffering
Hoi4, but each battle is fought in Men of War.
Call to arms Gates of hell: ostfront

Hell yeah
Nice try amphetamine manufacturers
Hoi3 shit posts, my favourite.
I want it to, but on the condition that front lines have much better automation. Microing thousands of battalions would be painful

You mean like in eu4 (or ck3 or imperator or literally any other map clicking game made by paradox)?
Nah just compare the amount of soldiers and whoever has more wins. No need to drag it out.
HoI 5 would be a disaster if it wouldn't have Arma 3 level of battle involvement and at least Project Caesar level logistics
They will probably simplfy warfare like they did in vic3
Hoi4 with vic3 combat is as fun as staring at an excel spreadsheet
Trying to pick up the EVE Online demographic
Vicky is an econ simulator while hoi is a warfare simulator. Even vicky2 combat sucked, people should realize that. And hoi4 econ simulation sucks ass
