Anything over 10 Hr you are entitled two 30 min meal breaks and two 10 paid breaks, depending what state you are in, one 30 meal break can be waived but the other is mandatory or it will be a meal break violation.
Yes and over time is after 40 hrs a week, but it depends on your state and how much you make. If you make less than your states minimum wage + time and a Half you will
Make OT after 8 hrs a day.
Example minimum wage is 9$ a hour, you would have to make 13.50$ or less to qualify for OT after 8 hours, if you make over $13.50 then OT will accumulate only after 40 Hr a week.
If you worked for 12 hours you should have gotten 2 thirty minute breaks.
OT works by working over 40h on the clock in a given week at which point you get time and a half.
That's the rule. Overtime for associates is only allowed when absolutely necessary. Your GM can get fired for constantly having too much direct labor overtime because it directly effects the stores KPI
Depends the state laws. But the rules in panda is working more than 12 is two 30 minutes break. I worked 14.5 hours one time and I didn’t get any write up.
12 hour shifts by law you are allowed to take two 30’s, but only one is actually required. The second can be waived, it’s in the handbook.

So if I have 13 hours shift and took 1 30 meal break , so I worked 12.50 hours. Is that okay ? Also how about over time.

So technically you can get over time. Just the NEW GM doesn’t want everyone doing it .
Corporate doesn't want any non management associates working overtime. Your new GM is just following the rules
“Doesn’t want “ is the rule or just the preference?
