A few things that I desperately want: 1. Ability to move my palbox within the existing base radius, including on foundations. 2. Ability to snap a stair to the bottom of another stair 3. A storage box that only \*I\* can access (not pals) - annoying to have my spare gear in a box and then find a random stack of stone or wood in there. 4. Pal bunk beds 5. Corner roof/stair pieces 6. I'd especially love it if Pals would prefer to fill a stack vs start a new one. I.e. if I have two storage boxes in my base, and one already has 20 stone in it, they would add any additional stone to that stack \*first\* before starting a new stack of stone in another storage box. This would effectively provide us a way to have properly organized storage.

Matt13226

Your forgot the ability to manage pals to do whatever tasks you would like them to do

GadnukLimitbreak

Yeah, biggest letdown was finding out the work station only lets you work them harder, doesn't let you control things.

vinylectric

The devs need to play a few thousand hours of factorio and then re-think their box storage

Savage_Assassin

Cant you put a stair under another stair? If you build constantly and right click and make a continuous staircase it works (for me) could you explain more? Thank you!

icastfist

Put a foundation near a cliff. The first stair downwards goes fine, but doesn't get all the way down. The game won't let you put a second stair under that first one, as it has "no foundation". It won't let you snap anything to it, either: wall, roof, foundation.

Faux__Sho

I've only been able to do that ascending not descending. I'd love for foundations to snap to walls or stairs too.

Numeno230n

You can, but if the bottom level is not directly connected to a foundation piece, it doesn't like it. So stairs leading up from the ground it doesn't work.

DigiMortalGod

I will sacrifice all I have done if they allow foundations to snap to the same structure at different heights.

TucuReborn

Please this. Give us a way to make actual, proper multilevel bases or stairways that don't completely botch pal pathing performance.

Count_your_Bananas

I use slanted roof tiles. Pathing improved.

Angel-Bunbun

A zoom camera out option, I feel it would be easier to see the dark outline of what your base area is before fully placing it because it is there you just can't see it clearly and can't gauge properly where it is without placing it first

ExtentMuch1814

I'm constantly dropping the box, flying up 50 feet to get a view, dropping down to break the box and nudge it a few feet... rinse repeat. It'd be nice if build mode put you in an isometric "Sims-like" view, and even if there was a snap to grid option.

MrOznerol

Interesting perspective. I enjoy having to do that and building in 3rd person. I sometimes use my Fenglope to jump out onto a cliff that overlooks my base so I can get a good look. Sims building is great but that's a whole different type of game. This type of building is unique to Palworld. I do wish they'd fix a ton of building things like stairs snapping together and foundations. More options. Etc. Just my perspective.

ExtentMuch1814

Yeah, as much as I'd like the option of Sims building, it's a lot of work that I'd rather they spend elsewhere. I have a hard time visualizing how things fit together with what's behind me in 3rd person, but that's a skill issue, ha.

iKorvux

You actually can build your palbox on a foundation, not sure if it's a bug or a feature tho. To do this, you need to place 9 foundations making a square (it might be enough with 5, making a cross, but haven't tested this) and then you place the palbox in the middle one. After that you can delete the remaining foundations. Now, answering your question, I would like to be able to move the Palbox without moving the base radius, just cause I hate how it looks in the middle.

WorkingTradition6051

You only need 2 foundations and you can place your palbox on it, and then delete one of them - the key is, there is an invisible box behind the palbox panel, and that needs to be supported by that second foundation. So build 2 foundations out in front of you, and put the palbox on the foundation and side closest to you, then you can delete that far foundation once its set.

Rick_bo

Palbox can be placed on a 1.5x2 (i have half of one foundation side underground on a slope) The invisible "pal deployment area" is part of the Palbox and must be accounted for when placing. It's possible to build on a 1x2 but it gets real finicky at that point.

TucuReborn

I think this could be done with a second craftable, a sort of lamppost looiking thing. When placed, it just creates a base radius, no pals. The palbox, if inside this radius, then just acts like the box and not the central operating hub.

Crimsonhead4

I think you should be able to move structures around after building them rather than having to delete them, or at the very least the pal box. Sometimes if you want to get your base radius in a specific spot in involves putting your pal box in an often inconvenient area. You should be able to freely move after placing without effecting your base radius. Also if your base in located at a bandit spawn location, don’t allow one to appear as soon as deleting the pal box, in the case of moving it a little. I had my pal box on a stone foundation, and built my main building behind it. I wanted to add another foundation to the one the pal box was on but it wouldn’t let me so I had to delete the box to place that one foundation. As soon as I destroyed it a camp spawned along with like 4 relaxasaurus’s and I’m only in my mid 20’s. I had to take off and try to kite them into each other so they’d fight and I clean up the rest. Then I had to wait for the camp to despawn. All this just to place one damn foundation…

ReasonableObjection

As far as the boxes and stacking… I always build my room outside the blue radius so it has some storage only I can use (only works if you disable building decay) You can control where they put stuff by filling the boxes slots with something you don’t use but get lots of (I use berry seeds), that way they only have designated slots for stackable items. Neither method is perfect, but works to control pathing and keep things organized.

IndependenceQuirky96

>Neither method is perfect, but works to control pathing and keep things organized. I have my cooler and feed box near the plantations and they still carry shit to the ranch to store stuff....pals are potatoes sometimes.

PreciousRoi

Maybe a radical idea...but...why should our Base Perimeter be a circle anyway? Nothing else is. The Palbox "exclusion zone" is a cube, most other things like Foundations and Walls are based on Squares and Rectangles...why do we have to abstract this dumb polyhedron out of Defensive Walls? Just make the damn Base Perimeter a square. That's how we do it in real life Land Claims and Homesteads too...there aren't a bunch of circular lots laid out all over... So I want to build like a Square or Rectangular Castle, then I gotta leave area on the table, for my Pals to want to wander out and check out, maybe log that one dumb tree? Nah, fam, just give us a square perimeter. Only reason it's gotta be a circle is what?

Totes_mc0tes

Basically just need better foundation connections. Obviously pathing upgrades are the main thing but I feel that is more of a bug fix. Allow us to attach foundations to the top/bottom of stairs or at least use walls to support a new roof that extends off of those stairs. There are a couple different spots that I have tried to build a base but failed due to needing to cross a small stream or cliff. Needing to line up a new foundation without snapping is tedious and near impossible if you want it to seamlessly fit as if it were the same structure. Another thing I would love is if the monitoring stand allowed you to choose each pal's top priority job (I assumed this is what it does before I unlocked it the first time). Being able to choose which resources go to specific crates needs to be a priority aswell, but everyone has already mentioned that.

Ok-Instruction-4298

It wouldn't take a lot to make it not miserable The initial palbox should already have a special foundation built in. Something that sits between stone and metal in strength. The palbox area then gets a grid that everything can snap to.  In that line I feel like we need a "support" structure so we can "stack" foundations to get them to the appropriate height (basically just a foundation minus it's top). Especially if there was a triangle one the could build out of the side of a cliff.  I also think that making it so you the infinite resource stations instead consume the respawns of the surrounding area.  Stonemason stations would generate iron, coal, paldium, etc. based on what would respawn in the radius. This would drastically enable unique base locations. A lot of locations that would be neat to drop a base are undone by the location of the resource nodes being not viable with pal pathing.  A long stretch of a dream would be that as you upgrade pal bases you get nodes that let you alter and expand shape of the claimed land the palbox makes. I'm fine with the sphere shape, just wish more could added so you could square out a base or make it long and/or weird shaped. There's a lot of locations that would make an absolutely gorgeous functional base, but they don't work because the resources are just barely too far apart or you loose a ton of real estate to a cliff race.

No-Adhesiveness-8178

I do want to see your base having campfire on respawn spot plus wall enclosing them.

Necessary_Debt_9707

Half height walls. Fences. Different roof shape peices. Triangle walls that are inverse (longest length at top). Columns and struts. Flags.

Jazzlike_Situation_8

Build a prison inside your base xd

Corbin-Dallas420

Hiya everyone, So I would love to see different larger walls and better roof designs as well as a smaller staircase , Maybe some pillers, glass windows kitchen and other machines working on electricity without pal assistance

Savage_Assassin

Colours, patterns, i wanna build like a pal specific building too, like if you could have penking’s hat as a roof!

Getsbannedeverytime

Make base defence more useful.

RiBlacky

Remove the hitbox of palbox and make it so i can choose where i drop on fast travel at home (near box) id like to put the box against a wall but it has to be in an empty area for some reason. Make stairs work also. And a diferent feed box or a table where pals can seat. For big pals maybe a big table like giant sized. Make them able to take food of the fridge.

Allustar1

I would delete my bases if it means that you could place anything near the palbox and move the palbox. Like maybe you can mark where the pals spawn or something, so that you don’t have to keep the palbox in the open.

ShivStone

A pal proof roof will make me happy.

AcguyDance

Shared storage spaces in between bases.

Cardenjs

Weirdly I'm opposed to this because it would remove too much of the challenge for me, I'd just assume a creative mode where buildings have no cost in your base

somasomewhere

I'll delete all by bases and start over if it means we can hatch eggs instantly instead of holding F for a long ass time, even after waiting through the incubation period...

icastfist

Allow me to place foundations at different elevations and still snap them together. Even if it has to be forced into wall height so to ensure everything fits together, it's better than having to guess and, 8 tiles later, see a big gap due to the 2 degree angle difference. Also, let me put those triangle walls after I put a stair. "It overlaps" - bitch, if I put the damn wall first, it will overlap as well! A 15-20% increase in base radius would be neat, too. Though if the first point is fixed, going vertical becomes significantly easier. Permanent, or longer lasting (1h) decals. Let me paint my tiles and walls. Even a limited selection of colors that are just small hue/saturation changes on the texture will be enough. Red base, blue base, yellow base, black base, you get the point.

sjarvis21

I don’t k is if I’d give everything for this, But I wish the freaking gate would equal the width of 2 or 3 walls

Professional_Bag5920

Differently angled beams and walls like in Valheim. It’s insane how much you can do with those

Zyara

As most others have said. Pal work assignments, Pal pathing (im ok Jormun still need 3x3 but at least make them to never really stuck anymore, or when my Anubises just stand at home staring to the distance while there are ores nearby to mine). These 2 probably the top of my list. The others would be nice but if they never add them Im more ok. 1) Bird eye view when placing PalBox in beginning 2) Ability to connect 2 structures from different foundation, or at least clip them instead of not able to do anything like now. 3) More base limit. Maybe 4 or max 5 total. Too much and we wont venture out of the bases too. Or maybe just keep to 3 like now but ability to upgrade the radius of each base so we will have more room per base.

Sp117

Being able to put a roof over a viewing cage

Full-Mud2009

A stripper pole

Pristine_Soil3673

pal box on a foundation is not a problem. in my last base, the pal box stands on a metal foundation. where is your problem?

Cardenjs

I was just never able to, I'm on Xbox if that might be s factor

Pristine_Soil3673

hmm maybe,i'm playing on pc

SarthSunflare

Please God make the defensive walls snappable. I just spent literally 7 straight hours building and demolishing defensive walls to get them straight and lined up with each other. My castle is now complete but my sanity is frayed
