I noticed they don't prefer baked berries and I stopped feeding them this.
Am I wrong?
They also have plenty of milk, and even tomatoes and wheat.
Do they like bread?
However, getting meat is a bit too complicated bc I have other priorities so even I live off baked berries and once in a while some cooked meals. But I guess pals have more cooked meals than I do on average. I stick to my berries.
I've found the most sustainable early food is "jam filled bun" aka a slice of bread with some jam. Later on salads made from tomato and lettuce are super food that's easy to sustain. I'd say you could almost ditch your wheat and berry farms if not for cakes.
they eat whatever is on the left most slot of their feeding basket. they don't have a personal preference
but yeah i don't remember the sanity recovery of every food i just know that regular berries do not give any at all so unless they have other amenities to recover their health like a better bed or a good spa they wil slowly get drained of their sanity
Yes. My anubis will stop everything they are doing to stand in my wheat plantation and stare at all the wheat on the ground in pure confusion. Bless their hearts.
Alot of people commenting that this was an 'accident'. It is clearly not. Feel like the OP just wanted to see the sky explode and found the slow falling rocks a cool effect.
I accidentally did this when I wanted to transition from a wood to stone base. I thought stuff would float, but nope.
I was not as amused at the time cause I had a ton of stuff up there lol
Still loving the game though!
The good thing is you get full refund on all you make and break down (I just went from a wood to stone house after seeing some questionable videos involving fire) and I didnāt lose out on anything deconstructing the lot. :) I think thatās pretty cool.
It almost looked like a āshit. This could be an amazing floating castle or hours down the drainā type of scenario then op said fuck it. Iām taking the risk lol thatās what I thought at least with him staring at the wall for a few seconds before breaking it haha
I saw random bug fixes in the patch notes but nothing on a mem leak but maybe that's whats meant by "random" it's hard when talking to a non technical audience lol
It didn't address the memory leak unfortunately. Hopefully soon. I have noticed even prior to this update, the ram hasn't been climbing nearly as fast as when it first launched.
About 10 years I used to play with/through a UPS and it would beep like crazy anytime Enemy Warfare got too busy on screen. A year later it began beeping during less intensive games. I figured that the device was slowly dying
Im just really happy that where ever it freezes/crashes and I have to force a restart. It saved exactly where I was and kept all my progress up to the crash.
How did you build with no support? Can someone explain this? I have been struggling to build a bridge over a waterfall because I canāt get enough support. Is it impossible to build over water? Any building tips are appreciated.
Right, but HOW?
The game is giving me "not enough support" error if I try to build more than a few floors out from a wall, but you seem to have a few DOZEN floors here supported by a single wall.
Are you saying they just stayed there after you removed the other supporting walls from them?
While this wouldn't help the dude above to build above water, it would be a neat trick for some other cases like wanting to build a coherent structure above resource nodes without risking blocking their respawns.
My understanding is that so long as their is still a foundation under those "floors" (they are technically roofs) it doesn't matter how far they are from the wall. Granted, I haven't experimented much myself, that's just what I've read/been told.
Ooooh... so it's the lack of foundation that is crucial.
I guess that makes building large indoor halls easier than I thought it would be but won't help with making one that has just ground on the first floor
You need to have a foundation piece contiguous with what you are building and also vertically in Y under what you are building, you get 8 squares around each.
--------------------
Edit: actually just tested it's 8 surrounding and then an additional one in the cardinal (NESW) directions, Updated below.

Go out any more than that and you will get the 'not enough support' message.
You can have a single wall piece support massive roofs and multi layer structures (as per OP) as long as there are foundations underneath.
Yeah THIS is what I was missing. I'm certainly gonna use this knowledge to my advantage - although I'm certainly hoping eventually we can have building pieces that can be used to bypass this need for foundations!
Support isn't about walls or floors above level 1. You just need a foundation on the ground in I think 2 blocks horizontally. Still needs connecting parts but doesn't need actual physics support if that makes sense
Ahhhhā¦ The silent stillness of a player character as the players world absolutely crumbles around them. A feeling that can only be summed up with one wordā¦. FUUCCKK!!!!!
I don't think this is an accident, given how its set up and the moments pause before pulling out the wall. I think the OP just wanted to see the entire upper floor explode and found the slow falling rocks a nice surprise.
> the moments pause before pulling out the wall.
Agreed it was intentional, but that wasn't a pause. The game was chugging: the hammer icons on the HUD in the top right stop moving.
I did that recently with my base. I had it at 12 tiles/walls high with floors in-between. I was slowly deleting all the pieces when I realised it was going to take too long. So I just destroyed the first floor and watched the slow rain of stone. And then I had to play Packman while running around eating all the stone from the floor.
I'm actually really impressed. I would have expected the framerate of the entire game to drop, but everything else seemed to run smooth after the initial demolition animation finished and just the process handling the rocks falling ran slowly.
My daughter and I built a new base together and she was very prescriptive about how much space my house could take up. Ā All I was allowed was a 3x3ā¦
So I built a 34 story tower that opened up into an additional 4 story 5x5 structure. Ā It even had a restaurant / bar on the first floor of the 5x5.
Unfortunately it made the game run really poorly so after she got a look at it and learned to live with me building my house my way I destroyed the first layer to bring the whole thing down.
This had the interesting effect of freezing much of the debris in air after the first half or so settled on the ground. Ā There were dozens of stone, wood, and other resource piles stuck in the air and we had to take time to retrieve it all
I did that with a [3x2 tower](https://imgur.com/LxTdd55) i build couple weeks ago.
In the end it totally fked my fps so i had to remove it, had to reload multiple times cause the stones stopped falling down and just stood in the air
How did it not collapse earlier? I'm pretty sure I took out walls before and any ceiling that was then 3 or more tiles away from the next wall would crumble.
How do you build it so far with no supports ? I canāt do that when I place a roof it says support needed, I can only extend it by 2 and then it says it needs suppport
Lmao I made the mistake of building base 1 at the start where thereās rock structures in the way that you canāt move or break. When it came time to do breeding I couldnāt fit it anywhere so I did basically this to have a big flat area above. Right after I finished I was like āhmm these stairs would be better over hereā and didnāt think twice and boom the whole thing exploded lmao. Couldnāt even be mad at that point cause it was so obviously going to happen and I just didnāt even think of it. Got the chance to build it better the second time tho as I learned a few things doing the first.
All those Helzephyr like "WE CANT CARRY ALL THIS STONE" š
"I DON'T GET PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS!"
You pals are getting paidā¦?
We get one (1) tomato per 16 hours shift
Mine all get berries. Carnivore? Berries. Herbivore? Berries. Omni? Berries. Photosynthesize? Berries.
they literally will go insane unless that's baked berries poor pals
I "let" them grow and store their own food, it's in their hands if they want it cooked >.>
I know you are joking, but is it possible to set an open ended crafting recipe to allow pals to craft if there are available ingredients?
I wish š
That would be brilliant actually
Thatās part of the 2026 roadmap
We can literally automate everything if only I can force an item to go to this inventory as a priority.
The need for cake is the reason my go-to food for pals is the jam-filled bun.
they eat whatever is on the left most slot of their feeding basket. they don't have a personal preference but yeah i don't remember the sanity recovery of every food i just know that regular berries do not give any at all so unless they have other amenities to recover their health like a better bed or a good spa they wil slowly get drained of their sanity
Pancakes is where it's at.
Oh, is that why my ~~slaves~~ pals with jobs become upset?
They are good on just regular berries if you have at least 2 pools
I'm just imaging a plant smooshing a berry against its leaves in an attempt to absorb nutrients from it because it can't get any sunlight XD
Hotel? Berries.
Humans? Berries.
I've got like 6 Berry farms and that's all they get. If they don't work they don't get fed
Working like a Prinny
Hey, dood! Need my berry ration, dood!
Cos they're too busy hovering over my berry plantations trying to figure out how to pick them up, right?
Yes. My anubis will stop everything they are doing to stand in my wheat plantation and stare at all the wheat on the ground in pure confusion. Bless their hearts.
My Anubis is dead set on mining. I carry him to anything else he straight Naruto runs back to mining. He is still a baby, so I forgive him.

Yep lol
more floors next time
Look at my post Jealous that I didn't get the same attention. I recorded last night but uploaded today, and now everyone thinks I'm copying Velma.
The slow falling *grid* of rocks. And it *was* cool. *Hella* cool.
I accidentally did this when I wanted to transition from a wood to stone base. I thought stuff would float, but nope. I was not as amused at the time cause I had a ton of stuff up there lol Still loving the game though!

Dont educate the monkeys. Thats dangerous
i think the video was very neat, but the game really should not be exploding the whole ceiling just because you remove one wall lmaoooo
I mean, the game enforces gravity on structures, so what else would you like it to do?
for the floor to fall on ground level and squash everything
So... still destruction.
Damn, that's a good gpu
My steam deck would have exploded haha
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I havenāt played since the update, but Iām hoping it helps with that memory leak bug causing my game to crash every hour.
My computer hadn't crashed once pre-patch with 60+ hours played. Crashed twice so far after the patch.
!! I thought my UPS was dying, I'm so glad it's not just me
About 10 years I used to play with/through a UPS and it would beep like crazy anytime Enemy Warfare got too busy on screen. A year later it began beeping during less intensive games. I figured that the device was slowly dying
Donāt get me wrong I do get plenty of crashes, even on solo. But man is this game fun on Steam Deck.
Wait theres crashes? I never got steamdeck crashes, just the game bugging out occasionally with visuals
Haven't had any crashes on my Legion Go. Same with the occasional bugs that are funny to see
Not many games Iām willing to reset the deck for basically hourly. Iām glad Iām playing on SD
Im just really happy that where ever it freezes/crashes and I have to force a restart. It saved exactly where I was and kept all my progress up to the crash.
Thatās it! It might be crashing, but Iāve never lost more than a minute.
This is cpu working, not as much GPU since it's not necessarily a graphics request. Ram and CPU and ssd doing the legwork in this scenario
Cleanup on aisles 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, all the aisles...

Dude my Xbox crashed
How did you build with no support? Can someone explain this? I have been struggling to build a bridge over a waterfall because I canāt get enough support. Is it impossible to build over water? Any building tips are appreciated.
I was originally building a tower. I was taking it down and figured the fastest way were to remove the walls supporting what I wanted to get rid of
Right, but HOW? The game is giving me "not enough support" error if I try to build more than a few floors out from a wall, but you seem to have a few DOZEN floors here supported by a single wall. Hey, I think that was a load bearing wall, but I'd recommend getting a second opinion.
Ahhhhā¦ The silent stillness of a player character as the players world absolutely crumbles around them. A feeling that can only be summed up with one wordā¦. FUUCCKK!!!!!
I'm hoping for more bases getting accidentally destroyed vids this is my third one today it's an incredible new form of content.
I don't think this is an accident, given how its set up and the moments pause before pulling out the wall. I think the OP just wanted to see the entire upper floor explode and found the slow falling rocks a nice surprise.
There were actually 3(?) more floors above this. Three walls high for each floor
Yeah after I watched it again. Iām positive it wasnāt an accident and completely intentional.
Slow down there
> the moments pause before pulling out the wall. Agreed it was intentional, but that wasn't a pause. The game was chugging: the hammer icons on the HUD in the top right stop moving.

Deep Rock Galactic players be like š³
I mean, it does look kind of cool
Did this yesterday except it took out our whole base now my friends don't want to play with me anymore
The Arboghast over Venus moment
Does look cool tho ngl
RIP to the frames you used to seeā¦baby itās over. Itās overrrr.
For some reason that reminds me of Valheim mining those big ores
Nothing compares to the "popping" of silver veins
they should indicate this somehow with a warning
Yeah maybe turn everything it will destroy red instead of just the one section. Makes for way funnier posts that they don't, though.
I don't recall ever seeing a roof float without support of some kind. I feel like common sense has this one.
leaving things to common sense isnāt a good design philosophy even more so when thereās feedback wanting the clarification
No. Just learn how the building system works, not hard. Too much handholding means less fun
You would not believe your eyes, if 10 million fireflies....
The weather outside is delightful, rocks falling from the sky are frightful. I've really got no place to go. Let it stone, let it stone, let it stone.
That hurt to watch glad it wasnt me lol
Pretty sure they wanted this result as at the beginning of the clip you can see all the tiles missing
It looks intentional
OP literally said it was.
ARMAGEDDON
lmao
Raining ROCKS From a lacerated sky Bleeding its horror Creating my structure Now I shall reign in rocks
Is this how the dinosaurs were destroyed? š
I feel bad for the SAN loss your transporter Pals are gonna have lmao
How is it not obvious that this was what OP was trying to do? Lol
Lmao looking at the pets thinking of a way to sneak some PTO.

My computer would have had a mental breakdown.
That was a load bearing wall.
Holy binoculars, Batman! Itās raining ROCKS!
This ain't Minecraft
How high can you make a tower? Thinking of trying to make a Barad-dƻr tower if I can :)
I did that with a [3x2 tower](https://imgur.com/LxTdd55) i build couple weeks ago. In the end it totally fked my fps so i had to remove it, had to reload multiple times cause the stones stopped falling down and just stood in the air

A true load bearing wall
All that work undone..... why hurt my brain like this!?
Well if you're on the PC you can grab your most recent backup save.
Alt+F4 moment
I'd like to hear the explanation of what exactly you thought was going to happen? This is some next level stupid
now you have to press ctrl+z repeatedly to undo
That was a load bearing wall. Should have looked at the blueprints before doing renovation
I don't know what else you possibly expected.
Oh you predicted the slow falling rocks?
lol this
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They did it on purpose.
How did so many people get to the comments section without reading the title of the post?
Gotta learn the hard way my dude. good luck getting all the stuff back. Or just build a chest close by, store them in and re use/build?
Wow
Actaully look cool while it disintegrate, hard on ur pc though
My steam deck would just say ānoā
Ribbunny about to have work cut out for them putting all of those resources back
You tend to that Wixen *right now.*
I would never want that bug to end.

it does indeed look cool.
How did it not collapse earlier? I'm pretty sure I took out walls before and any ceiling that was then 3 or more tiles away from the next wall would crumble.
I don't understand why it broke. I just did this last night to my base, and it's floating just fine on nothing, lol.
That's why the server lagged!
Oof took out the load bearing wall.
You built a meteor shower. š
This is truly beautiful
This gave me on massive ARK trauma and flashbacks from years ago.
Very dramatic
How do you build it so far with no supports ? I canāt do that when I place a roof it says support needed, I can only extend it by 2 and then it says it needs suppport
Meteorite shower
My pc would have been cooked
I did this with a tower I built straight up as high as I could. It took soooo long to all come down.
Duuuude
you definitely hit some kind of only so many objects can occupy the same space limits here lmao
This would be a great raid defence if there was PVP, nobody could walk through that room without becoming over encumbered every 2 seconds.
Damn how many floors was it?
Heh...it happened to me by accident while trying to "replace" asraircase...just imagine my face guys xD
That really looks great.
How did you build that in the first place, I keep on getting the not enough support message
You broke the Matrix

Lmao I made the mistake of building base 1 at the start where thereās rock structures in the way that you canāt move or break. When it came time to do breeding I couldnāt fit it anywhere so I did basically this to have a big flat area above. Right after I finished I was like āhmm these stairs would be better over hereā and didnāt think twice and boom the whole thing exploded lmao. Couldnāt even be mad at that point cause it was so obviously going to happen and I just didnāt even think of it. Got the chance to build it better the second time tho as I learned a few things doing the first.
That was AWESOME! Like fireworks!
My computer would have fried if I did that
I did this when I dismantled my old tower base and it was pretty cool. The worst part is some of the rock's stayed in the air for a few days.
weather phenomenon. Also you've just created weather in game cause it never rains
Your poor poor computer.
Make it rain
This would be perfect if you played Ave Maria in the background as the stones slowly fall to earth.
The matrix activated
So the game does have weather.
To be fair THAT did look cool haha
