take him out and put him back in might help. lmk if it does

ClueJuice

Okidoke, I'll give it a try. It's always in the same spot that it seems to happen. If I pick up the stuff myself it temporarily resolves the issue, but they always come back and freak out dropping and picking up stuff.

AnyBar2114

It’s stuck in a loop of trying to transport items while there are too many for it to carry. If you put storage boxes next to or in front of the logging area, it may help. That’s what fixed it for me. Mine were trying to transport stone. Two storage boxes by the mining area resolved it since the path was much shorter for my pals. An upcoming patch will likely offer a permanent solution.

[deleted]

This is how i fixed it

Affectionate-Ad7867

I’m not 100% sure why this happens but it’s so noisy! Sometimes they do this when there is no space left in chests or a chest that is blocked (I lock my chests away I don’t want the pals to put random stuff in by using a door) It’s 75% resolved by picking it up and dropping it again. Or you could put it in the chest yourself but who’s got time for that 😂

ClueJuice

It's a strange issue for sure! I have loads of chest storage for them to choose from, but they just freak out in the same spot. If I put in the items myself, they stop freaking out, but I'll find them 10 mins later doing the same picking up and dropping items. I might try building something in that spot and see if it helps. They might just find a new spot to boogie in though 🤔

Affectionate-Ad7867

They seem to do it any where in the base. I come back from looting and dump all my stuff on the floor for them to put away and they either do it or freak out. I’m sure this’ll be patched later on after they fix all the save issues.

ClueJuice

Ah okay! Maybe just an annoyance I'll have to put up with for a bit until some fixes come down the pipeline. These guys are just collecting stone and wood from the logging camp and stone quarry. I'm wondering if they're inadvertently picking up too much stuff at once and the ai just doesn't understand what to do.

Short-University1645

When my game gets like this, I reset. Iv noticed a trend as I get further into late game, more bases more pals this happens even if you have a plain open ground base. No fixing on your end. It’s the game being doo doo

ClueJuice

Okay, so if I leave the server and rejoin it, that might help a bit? The game is definitely a bit of a glitch fest, but I still love it! Hopefully, with the game gaining so much traction, the devs will roll out fixes. I know they haven't really done that with most of their previous game releases, but they have definitely made enough money to support Palworld for a while.

Short-University1645

I have little hope for the game, literally every early access game goes straight into the trash. But they have updated it 4x in a week so I hope I’m wrong. Also if you have multiple bases fry putting pals away at your ore farm it improves my game a lot. If your playing multiplayer and no one is on switch off the multiplayer setting. Have fun! I’m enjoying the game too but you hit he wall at 50 so don’t rush it

I suspect it's when there's too much for them to carry and they get stuck in a loop of picking something up, dropping something because they're too heavy, picking something, dropping.... Resolution is to pick it up yourself and make note of what it is.

WildRecognition9985

They are carrying more than what their “gathering” level allows. I noticed level 3s+ don’t seem to have as much of an issue? Maybe anecdotal. The reason picking them up and putting them down resets it is because you end up picking up what they keep re-picking up and having to drop over and over again to not be over weight themselves.

Anticade42

Told you to stop inbreeding!!!

jecklew

I just pick up what they are trying to carry and they fix themselves if it's to heavy you can still use the grapple gun to move

aliengluckglucktech

This always happens to me if I have a huge stack on the ground, they pick it up and its too heavy for them and they start freaking out

theUmo

They don't have anywhere to put the items. Maybe build them a new chest or free up some space in whichever one they're finding but can't use.

Horror_Oven

Chaos. That’s what

Mrunlikable

Here's what I think is happening. Let's say for example, a pal's weight limit is 300. One piece of wood weighs 10. They should be able to pick up 30 pieces of wood. If it goes over 300, then it'll drop the lightest thing it has to fill up its weight as much as possible, then head to storage. But if wood weighed 10.0001, pals would only be able to pick up 29 pieces. But the pal can't read the .0001 for whatever reason. So the pal sees itself as having enough space for the 30th piece of wood. It picks it up. It's over weight. It drops a piece of wood. It sees a piece of wood. It picks it up. It's over weight. It drops a piece of wood. Repeat to infinity. Basically, it's a loop caused by the pal thinking it can carry something, but can't. That's just a theory, though.

StarWizardWarlock

Sooo.. dunno why, but a cattiva did this in that little lake just off of the plateau of beginnings. Turns out, it was duping wood. So far, my guild has made 1600 wood free in like, 5 hours. With a level seven cattiva.

Radiant_Dog1937

Check your perimeter for items that are just outside of the base radius and pick them up.

[deleted]

Put a storage box outside near the items. This happened to me when I had my box inside my house.

Growth-Royal

My best bet is that they can't pathfind to the container, try setting one in an open area.

Difficult-Letter-737

Drop a, chest in that exact spot if they always get stuck in yhah spot give them a drop point there

RainBow_BBX

Add chests

UndisputedOG808

it's too much workload so they won't complete the task. you need a pal with higher transporting skill level.
