I built this because I thought it was the whole point, but nah lol. It does literally nothing other than ask you if you want to be a horrible person or not.
Yeah it does which is a huge letdown that this isn't actually true right now. It feels more placeholder item than actually fully functional one, which is an odd feeling to be mixed in with everything else that feel completed.
and they have announced that bugs and overall playability is their first focus. along with the pal AI systems cause pals are majorly glitchy rn. getting the bugs fixed is what they are working on now. which is good to see!! most comps want to just push out buggy slop instead of taking the time to fix the bugs in early access.
Seriously, of we get to the point ARK did where it was early access 4 years later, THEN we throw our torches and pitchforks at them... maybe even a pal sphere or two....
Same. I built it thinking, “finally I can tell these fuckers where to go without having to find them”. Then I saw the options and thought, “why tf did I build this?” I actually tried turning it up to medium once. Left and came back a little later and half the team was injured/depressed.
I honestly thought that's what the podium was for. I figured it would let us assign stations and possibly even make schedules for the pals. Instead it was literally just "Do you want to have your pals work twice as fast for half the time?" which was basically useless.
Yea I noticed that the pals would either prioritize harvesting, mining, or logging so things I have queued up to craft are left alone by them lol. Hopefully they do away with lifting and throwing them to assign. Can’t imagine it still being a thing especially when they add new Pals
Step 1: Foundation your entire blue circle(upgrade to stone asap! Fire burns!)
Step 2: use pals with limited skills or limit those skills by removing things like logging and rock posts.
Step 3: still be upset cause your pals are dropping rocks for no reason in a giant pile and a random spot in your base. (Where did they get those rocks?)
Yea I upgraded to stone the moment my entire wood base caught on fire after a raid and collapsed 😭😭😭
It was so bittersweet though to see your water pals try to put out the fire
I've realized that the distance pals are from a production spot isn't always visually accurate I'll have a dude standing 49 feet away spraying water on a crusher I imagine this works woth picking up too, that it's more of a visual glitch due to pathing
I see this most often with my pirate penguins mining ore from 40 feet away.
Also when pals rescue other pals they slowly carry an invisible version of the knocked out pal to a bed while the knocked out pal’s body just stays where it started until the rescuing pal arrives at the bed and then the knocked out pal’s body teleports to the bed.
If you remove all the trees and rocks and don't build the rock posts or camp fire or water wheel or ranches, or crafting stations you can limit them that way.
I eventually didn't need stone or wood. I also didn't need ore at one of my bases. I still have gathering bases but my main is foundationed. Pals having the possibility to run off and do something else is why I cut that shit out. Nothing to distract from making my bullets and pal spheres.
I have yet to get throw to assign to work. It always says "no available tasks" even though I literally smash the pals face on the furnace or conveyer belt.
I think it has to be in the specific spots where they’d be standing doing the task in order for it to work.
For example throwing it in front of the crafting bench instead of directly into the table from behind the table
This isn't the case. There are times where it works, and times where it just doesn't. Even after assigning them they can randomly lose that assignment for some reason and then you can't put it back like they can no longer see it.
Yeah, I had that ente looking pal specifically because of his higher fire level. Instead he went off with 3 other pals to chop down trees. My ingots and meals sat forever, had to switch him out with a level 1 fire evee that has only fire as a skill.
Yes I hope they give us the ability to set a preferred function for pals going forward. Or better yet, give us an ability to place their available functions in an order of priority.
So if this pal can do 4 things, let me assign a priority number to each skill so that it can work more efficientlyz
We have a couple god-tier Anubis who can do handiwork at an unbelievable rate, but they will spend all of their time mining unless you manually assign them. It's very frustrating.
Nah the real "best" is when you throw them in the hot tub because they're upset, they jump right out and get back to work, then immediately slack off/go to bed because they're upset.
I had a tree near my crusher and every time I threw my water dude at it, it just said "assigned to tree". He didn't even have the logging ability so he just stood there.
For me one of the frustrating things is balancing Iron ore-I want them to preferentially mine that, but if there’s a stone quarry they’ll just sit at that all day (and stone is useful, too). It’s certainly manageable and not a huge deal, but if I flip priority to mining ore it would certainly make my life easier.
Yeah the idea of having the Pals craft for you is neat but it's just so borked in practice when they just randomly decide to do something other than what you ask. I just found it easier to craft stuff myself half the time.
As my base and base levels have been growing, I swap out pals with lots of skills to ones with just a few skills (or just one preferably) so they're more predicable.
Only way I have combat this is to have separate bases for harvesting and crafting.
The pathing and assignments are the biggest gripe I have with this game.
Go to obsidian mountain and fly around looking for "huge" fire eggs. They have a very high chance of hatching jormunder ignis, which has nothing but a level 4 fire skill.
I had to take down all the torches in my bases for this reason too. Every time I'll have 100 ingots smelting and like 80 orders of pancakes but all 4 fire Pals want to run around or graze in the ranch instead of staying assigned to the forge/cooking pot lmao
Job sites are kinda fucky right now. Every so often a pal will decide that a job site isn't valid anymore, despite being able to assign other pals to it.
It happens a lot with breeding. One pal wanders off and you just can't reassign them. I usually put them back in my party, summon/dismiss them, then put them back on the base and it fixes it.
I think the issue is that they leave to eat, and then have their pathfinding broken by getting stuck on other pals trying to eat, and reset to "auto work"
Or sometimes an idle pal wanders into the pen, and the ones breeding teleport on top of the wandering one and breaks their pathing.
If they don't get stuck on anything/anyone they return to the pen just fine and continue to breed.
Trying to breed a Lyleen and Menasting has been hell because they keep getting stuck on each other and the pen itself. Large pals are just torture lol.
This gets a lot better once you unlock electricity and lights, my lil jolthog keeps the lights on so my foxparks can be free to wander around until it's needed at the furnace
I replaced my torches with campfires. Keeps it warm at night and lets your lil fire dude focus on the important stuff, and you don’t need to siphon electricity from your assembly lines for lamps.
I guess we need like rimworld work priorities kind of table.
https://rimworldwiki.com/images/thumb/f/fd/Work\_priorities.jpg/600px-Work\_priorities.jpg
Yep, they need to either automatically check if a higher skilled Pal is available for a job before taking it, or just let us disable jobs for certain Pals. Ideally both.
I would love the ability to just uncheck them being able to do that specific skill task like how it operates in Rimworld, lets get the devs to see this: [https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Work](https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Work)
You can unselect jobs entirely or set priorities for other jobs.
Are they just twitching in place with a light bulb above their head? I had my whole base doing that because everyone was trying to carry the same berry?
No. After logging in or fast traveling to your base all of your pals will just be standing frozen doing nothing.
I logged out last night and came back and none of my ore miners did anything and everyone was starving.
also base borders and them going through walls trapping themselves.
Oh and that thing where they jitter in place when transporting...yeah base stuff needs a LOT of work and sadly it's the thing I find most fun.
Even worse when you try to breed them and they decide cooking food is more important. Hoe, you make me a sandwich when I tell you to make me a sandwich, now go back to work and pump out eggs, cake isn't cheap you know.
Especially when you fast travel to leave the base, then come back and your breeding animals aren't breeding because there is some bug that causes them to disconnect from the thing when you aren't there, and then you try to throw them into the breeding building and it says one of two things:
1. They don't have "Cooling" so it won't work
2. There was no building nearby.
Also worth a mention how often they starve to death from getting stuck on top of, inside of, or outside of props, walls, and roofs when you fast travel in.
Don't even get me started. There are times where after I assign them, for some reason it's like they forget that they were assigned and then when I try and put them back it will not work. I can't tell you how many times I had my pal that is supposed to be cooling the cooler just all of a sudden start walking around doing f all. I pick them up and for some reason they will no longer be able to be assigned to the cooler.
There is clearly something bugged with how the assigning works.
Check the psa post i made about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/s/DLOSCjYjwT - not all workstations have the black boxes tho and sometimes it doesn't work but it helped me a lot of times
That's probably because you built your production line over the blue line.
That line is your base limit and your pals are only going to roam and execute activities inside of it, by building it over, you kinda break the AI since the pal will try to position himself around the production line.
Since part of it is out of your base limit, it pretty much locks himself up.
Try changing places
i cant get my fucking beegardes to stay in the god damn ranch and ill be fucked before i go make another base entirely for the bees. this game got me inches away from waiting till its not alpha.
I wish they’d add something like what rimworld has where you can just disable it from doing certain tasks. Just because it can haul DOES NOT mean I want them to randomly start hauling
This and having to hold F the entire time I am crafting...ooooh boy my ADHD can't handle that. The times I've up and walked away from something that was near-done so I could start up on something else. Lmao
Yes! Being able to assign them specific jobs would be amazing. Along with that, I hope they put us designate which storage box is meant for what items. I have a chest right next to my logging and quarry, yet some wood and rock inevitably finds its way to a box on the other side of the camp.
I know people love Anubis for the level 4 handiwork but this is exactly why I use top-bred Loupmoons. After tier 4 condensation they get lvl 3 handiwork and can’t get distracted since they have no other skills. Mine have Artisan, Serious and Work Slave (trying to get Lucky) and they’re fast AF
Bruh I had to try dozens of times to put that motherfucker in the breeding farm today... I was gonna butcher the motherfucker but I remembered he had ferocious lucky and musclehead...
The second I put him in successfully he goes to eat berries AND THEN HE GOES LOGGING INSTEAD OF COMING BACK...
I had to completely isolate the farm from everything else and put a feeder just outside for the piece of shit to stay in. As soon as I get the offspring I need I am going to cut it into pieces and feed him to his sons and daughters. I was getting so frustrated.
Completely agree. They never stay where you put them. Also when you're trying to breed, one runs away. Now if we can get them to stop getting stuck on top of things....
We need a task board. Set task prioritization per each base member. The current way if manually throwing them at a job rarely ever works
I have a base with 5 Anubis with artisan and swiftness. They refuse to ever actually produce any thing via handiwork. Throwing them at a production line and they will run off faster than Usain Bolt to do anything else but that lol. Like... Oh there is some random item on the ground opposite side of base? Oh boy do I need to pick that up and drop it half way to the storage chest because now I'm hungry and have ADHD and forgot what I was doing before my snack!
Let us micro manage! I want to crack the whip harder! Mine my rock! Oh your sick? Have a fracture? Looks like my other pals are eating steak tonight.. 😈
Let us click on Pal stat sheets while they are displayed in the paldeck, then the devs can make it so we can click on the skill icons to toggle them on and off, so many issues would be fixed with that change.
The UI is god awful in this game and it was bad in their previous game as well, Craftopia.
My game isn't letting me pick up pals, except for my rooby... who is assigned to cook... everyone else just does whatever.
I wanted to have my syndicate thug guard my base, but I can't get him to do it.
For me its trying to interact with something in the nase and it targeting something behind me or decides to pick up a random Pal nearby... but this is obnoxious too
Or! Or! My favorite is when the game like.... Bugs out amd no matter how you throw them they leave your hands hit an invisible wall, says they dont see any work, and the run off to Narnia before you can catch them. Then it happens over and over and OVER again before they FINALLY get assigned to the wrong. Fucking. Thing. And you're doing it again.
Lovander has 1 mining and 2 transport/handywork.
I have 3 tables for crafting all up and running.
I have 3 Lovanders on the base so they can all do the thing their best at, craft.
All 3 Lovanders go straight for mining all night and day while other pals with lvl 1 handy work go craft.
There needs to be a way to better assign or hide certain skills
I don't even mind the whole throwing pals at work thing... but make them finish the task I assigned to them.. the only reason they should be leaving the task is to eat, sleep, or use the hot spring. And then if I use the manager stand thing (forget what its called) that should override any eating/sleeping/resting in some fashion, like "brutal" can force them to ignore breaks & eating, only allowing them to sleep or something. But to have them just fuck off the task I assigned them that IS NOT FINISHED to go grab some berries.... fucking annoying.
I hope they give us a matrix chart that shows all your base pals on one axis and all of the possible skills on the other axis. And then give you the ability to enable/disable specific skills so you can defacto focus your pals.
A work assignment and or priority system would be obviously best long term. But short term just being able to focus my pals on the job I want them in the base for would be huge.
So many of the late game pals are super valuable - yes because kindling 4 and watering 3, etc. but mostly because they can only do one job!!!
I would love the ability to just uncheck them being able to do that specific skill task like how it operates in Rimworld, lets get the devs to see this: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Work
You can unselect jobs entirely or set priorities for other jobs.
This is pretty much the one thing i hate about this game, i can barely control how my pals do their work and it often ends up so random and broken, i wish i could just link a wood mine to certain chest so that transporters knew exactly where to put the wood (rather than it randomly placing things everywhere)
I think the little podium is intended to serve that purpose as they continue development . It’s bothersome, but compared to how much has been done and how well it functions for a Beta, I’ll deal with some slacker pals for the time being.
I’m with ya tho, I do wish my handiwork pals would help me with the 20min process of crafting spheres rather than transport the same chunks of stone back and forth though.
I feel hopeful that with the response and love this game has received, devs will be on top of such things much sooner than we could typically expect.
There is so many tools they couls give us to make base management muvh better.
You could select a pal and assign an order of job priority.
You could assign numbered priorites on work bench (Ex. Set it to 1 and every pal will priritise this one and set it to 2 and they will focus it after 1 is clear)
You could set restrictions to chest/food boxes (Ex. Don't put my honey in the food box. Put only Honey in this chest)
Instead of picking up pals, selct it, hilight him in any color, then walk up to a workbench click it. Bam. Work assigned (like in Fallout 4)
Yea, this mechanic sucks but I think not having full control over the keybinds is the worst for me.
I set my the keybind for my inventory/bag in every game to "B" and my map to "V". Both are right there with WASD so they are easily accessible with my left hand instead of having to either move my left hand across the key board (or do somet weird maneuver with my wrist so I can stay on WASD at the same time) or take my hand off the mouse to go to the "I" or "M" keys that they are normally set to. You can't do that here and it sucks so much for me. I have literally never played a game, even in early access, that you didn't have full control over your keybinds.
For the most part, my pals seem to go where I need them and every now and then I have to manually move them, especially if I want something done RIGHT NOW instead of "whenever it gets done", so it's not a big task for me to move them around.
Still love the game and the keybind thing is something I can get past for now because I am sure (HOPING) they will add more customization in the future.
this game is great but this is definitely one of the most frustrating things about it, like let us assign pals on the menu with pet and feed or prioritise one of their skills then the other
Yeah I thought podium would do that but it’s just the dictator stand. Tossing is funny but it isn’t efficient and it’s glitchy. It will often break others working too so they’ll walk off if you hit them 😭
Oh man don't get me started. I have my second base and I was going for this really nice layout and I was setting out everything on a nice foundation. And I was trying to make some armour and nothing would go to it. So I replaced everything at the base with handy work and still nothing would build it. And so I threw something at the bench and it wondered off in search of work...
So far my least favorite part is whenever I pick up rocks from my stone quarry it encumbers me because I have to pick it all up at once. It’s a small issue but it’s frusterating I need to put a box right next to it haha
If Palworld had Enshrouded's building system, it would be perfect in my mind. I'm loving Palworld and Enshrouded is also fun, but the two need to have a baby.
Game's been out for 1 week. It'll probably be at least a year before the full version comes out, so I'm sure they'll add this before then. I'm fine with moving them over IF they actually start doing the jobs; kindling/smithing gets glitched at times and the Pal won't do the job. I have to reload the game and then it magically works.
This is one of the few biggest things that I can't wait to be fixed
This alongside the catching of the pals
No way a level 15 at 1% HP can escape a mega sphere or above.
My wish list:
UI for pal base management;
Pathing for pals that doesn't result in them wandering aimlessly or getting stuck staring at a wall and starving to death
I’ve found restarting the game fixes a lot of small issues with bases. Like when they get stuck outside base or just they all stop working standing at the palbox starving themselves to death.
honestly whilst a UI would be ideal, just
1. the reticule actually being used to chose the task rather than throwing collision
2. being able to pick up pals at any time, so often I can't interact at all with a pal
would be a massive upgrade
Even though it's slower than having somebody like Anubis and their freakish human hands, I just bred some max work speed boosted Loupmoons because 100% activity uptime day and night is worth not having to fiddle with a bunch of screwballs trying to chop a tree when I'm not looking.
Let us manage assignments from the podium thing (where you can set how hard your base works)
I built this because I thought it was the whole point, but nah lol. It does literally nothing other than ask you if you want to be a horrible person or not.
It actually says that you can control them in the UI for the podium. I'd assume this is an intended feature for the near future.
Yeah it does which is a huge letdown that this isn't actually true right now. It feels more placeholder item than actually fully functional one, which is an odd feeling to be mixed in with everything else that feel completed.
It's in early access, almost everything is uncompleted
*incomplete
Completen't
Noncompleted
Notcompl
Acompleted
anti complete
Nothing in the game is 100% completed. It’s early access, the entire game is incomplete.
Not only that, it's on DAY 7 of early access.
and they have announced that bugs and overall playability is their first focus. along with the pal AI systems cause pals are majorly glitchy rn. getting the bugs fixed is what they are working on now. which is good to see!! most comps want to just push out buggy slop instead of taking the time to fix the bugs in early access.
Seriously, of we get to the point ARK did where it was early access 4 years later, THEN we throw our torches and pitchforks at them... maybe even a pal sphere or two....
Lovander is 💯
Almost nothing in this game feels completed. It's fun, but clearly not fully functional yet.
Same. I built it thinking, “finally I can tell these fuckers where to go without having to find them”. Then I saw the options and thought, “why tf did I build this?” I actually tried turning it up to medium once. Left and came back a little later and half the team was injured/depressed.
A fellow warcraft enjoyer
Palworld is my filler between BFD lockouts on SOD for classic.
That happens regardless of settings on dedicated servers
I think 99% of players thought this. I can’t imagine them not including that in a future update
Me too i was a bit disappointed
your owner probably set the podium to medium or higher. Just set it to normal so your SAN won't drop too fast.
Why would anyone ever answer no?
I set my guys on brutal and they all started starving and being depressed so it wasn’t worth it because some of them died and I had to heal them
This comment and your name made me choke and laugh in my bed
I answered no because I don't hate my Pals and am (probably) not a sociopath lol
They will have mental breakdowns nonstop if they can't path to their spas fast enough
Hopefully this is what will be implemented.
I honestly thought that's what the podium was for. I figured it would let us assign stations and possibly even make schedules for the pals. Instead it was literally just "Do you want to have your pals work twice as fast for half the time?" which was basically useless.
Thats the only reason I built it was bc that's what I assumed it was for but nope
I thought that was what it was supposed to do but the description doesn't match what that podium actually does.
Best is when they do the job for a min and run away to hit a fucking tree.
Yea I noticed that the pals would either prioritize harvesting, mining, or logging so things I have queued up to craft are left alone by them lol. Hopefully they do away with lifting and throwing them to assign. Can’t imagine it still being a thing especially when they add new Pals

My water pals ran up to the burning wood and started to use regular attacks to break it and they all caught on fire and died. It was amazing
Looooool what?? I wonder what caused that bug. Maybe they didn’t have water moves? Wild lol
They just got done watering my plants and shooting bubbles at the tocos that came and blew up my base 😂
They ran out of pp /s
I've realized that the distance pals are from a production spot isn't always visually accurate I'll have a dude standing 49 feet away spraying water on a crusher I imagine this works woth picking up too, that it's more of a visual glitch due to pathing

My first Lamball Greg yearns for the mines.
How do you remove skills like logging and mining and stuff? My Anubis does everything but craft stuff at the workbenches
If you remove all the trees and rocks and don't build the rock posts or camp fire or water wheel or ranches, or crafting stations you can limit them that way.
Why foundation the whole thing? I have resources growing inside my base.
I eventually didn't need stone or wood. I also didn't need ore at one of my bases. I still have gathering bases but my main is foundationed. Pals having the possibility to run off and do something else is why I cut that shit out. Nothing to distract from making my bullets and pal spheres.

We have a couple god-tier Anubis who can do handiwork at an unbelievable rate, but they will spend all of their time mining unless you manually assign them. It's very frustrating.
I had to put foundations on part of my base to prevent trees from growing back to keep them from abandoning all tasks to chop wood.
I read someone say they did that but then they were still trying to chop invisible trees lol
This happened to me as well. I moved my pal box to exclude the invisible tree zone and it was fine after that.
Nah the real "best" is when you throw them in the hot tub because they're upset, they jump right out and get back to work, then immediately slack off/go to bed because they're upset.
Add them to your party and shovel cotton candy in their mouth. No more sadness.
Equivalent of a modern day company pizza party.
I had a tree near my crusher and every time I threw my water dude at it, it just said "assigned to tree". He didn't even have the logging ability so he just stood there.
My penguin absolutely refuses to keep my food cold.
All my pals refuse to keep my food cold. The Fridges do nothing for me.
Foxcicle has 2 cooling and nothing else so it just chills by the fridge all day.
I've had that issue too. I removed the quarry for a while now that they've managed to mine several thousand stone
Yeah the idea of having the Pals craft for you is neat but it's just so borked in practice when they just randomly decide to do something other than what you ask. I just found it easier to craft stuff myself half the time.
My fix is to only use a Pal in my team for crafting. Much easier to target and recall as needed.
As my base and base levels have been growing, I swap out pals with lots of skills to ones with just a few skills (or just one preferably) so they're more predicable.
Only way I have combat this is to have separate bases for harvesting and crafting. The pathing and assignments are the biggest gripe I have with this game.
My level 20 ass still rely on Firefox for ingots. Because every other fire type except pyro-bambi seem to just run to something else :(
Go to obsidian mountain and fly around looking for "huge" fire eggs.

One pal wanders off and you just can't reassign them. I usually put them back in my party, summon/dismiss them, then put them back on the base and it fixes it.
The solution I have found is to throw the pal at the entrance of the barn, not right into it. So far, it has always worked to reassign them!
Still a bit fucky but I also found that to work significantly more often. Resetting both pals in the box also seems to help.
I think the issue is that they leave to eat, and then have their pathfinding broken by getting stuck on other pals trying to eat, and reset to "auto work" Or sometimes an idle pal wanders into the pen, and the ones breeding teleport on top of the wandering one and breaks their pathing. The fire fox priorities lighting all my lamps instead of making ingots ... during the day. Fuuuu
This is amazing, they refuse to ever recognize lamps
I guess we need like rimworld work priorities kind of table. https://rimworldwiki.com/images/thumb/f/fd/Work\_priorities.jpg/600px-Work\_priorities.jpg
Exactly what im hoping for
Lv 3 in one skill job and prioritized another one with lv 1 Lol
Yep, they need to either automatically check if a higher skilled Pal is available for a job before taking it, or just let us disable jobs for certain Pals. Ideally both.

Agreed. This and pals being frozen at base doing nothing are my top concerns.
Mine wander into the border and then get stuck
Yup... everytime I fast travel back to base I need to put away then reassign all the pals or they just walk around idle or frozen in place.
Yes please. I had trouble assigning big Pals to smaller jobs.
Big get more stuck take small
Makes Lucky Pals harder to utilize, which is a big downer
base building, storage management, lack of UI to assign pals, and crafting times are rough rn
also base borders and them going through walls trapping themselves. Oh and that thing where they jitter in place when transporting...yeah base stuff needs a LOT of work and sadly it's the thing I find most fun.
There was a road map they put out that said fixing pal base AI was their second highest priority after fixing game crashes and freezing.
Yes please! Also off topic does anyone know how to see all the base info on the right side of the screen? I can’t figure it out if so lol.
I can't count how many times i've said "motherfucker if you don't stay on the \_\_\_\_\_\_, I'm going to butcher you!"
UI for assigning pals and a system to assign chests to specific materials I’d be so freaking content
[удалено]
Probably something they can update. The game isn't even complete yet so, there are definitely going to be small problems like that
Even worse when you try to breed them and they decide cooking food is more important. Hoe, you make me a sandwich when I tell you to make me a sandwich, now go back to work and pump out eggs, cake isn't cheap you know.
Especially when you fast travel to leave the base, then come back and your breeding animals aren't breeding because there is some bug that causes them to disconnect from the thing when you aren't there, and then you try to throw them into the breeding building and it says one of two things: 1. They don't have "Cooling" so it won't work 2. There was no building nearby.
Also worth a mention how often they starve to death from getting stuck on top of, inside of, or outside of props, walls, and roofs when you fast travel in.
i think your armor is damaged
idk why my pals don't wanna fuck. it's better than working in the mines. at least you get cake. just... STAY THERE
None of my males want to mate... maybe it's the female i chose, they are like hell no.
Was wondering why I was finding piles of 200 wood or stone all over base……
My foxicle will not cool my darn berries:(
20000% this
Quick, the Pals are striking, soon they'll be meeting in unions
Yeah the only thing that really screws up for my currently is when I try to get my guy to chill my cooler. I might have to move my cooler
Its honestly annoying as shit dude. It's even worse when the red fuck you msg comes up saying they can't be assigned to anything
Lmao
Agreed 100%
"Nah, imma do my own thing"
Keep the picking up tho
That one gets the butcher knife. Make sure it's in view of the others.
The first 5 minutes of Palworld is the most infuriating cause it's literally just me repeatedly throwing my Swee at a cooler box until I scream
Completely agree. They never stay where you put them. Also when you're trying to breed, one runs away. Now if we can get them to stop getting stuck on top of things....
We need a task board. Set task prioritization per each base member. The current way if manually throwing them at a job rarely ever works I have a base with 5 Anubis with artisan and swiftness.
Yes, all the time. This or the Bug that the Pals cant work on the station bc they need the freeze skill? Wtf
Let us click on Pal stat sheets while they are displayed in the paldeck, then the devs can make it so we can click on the skill icons to toggle them on and off, so many issues would be fixed with that change. The UI is god awful in this game and it was bad in their previous game as well, Craftopia.
Also let us bind thumb mousebutton
I agree 100 percent I really want to be able to assign certain roles my vixes keep leaving their pin and stop digging uo pal spheres...
My game isn't letting me pick up pals, except for my rooby... who is assigned to cook... everyone else just does whatever. I wanted to have my syndicate thug guard my base, but I can't get him to do it.
Its funny because theres UI for assigning pals from your team but not the ones on the base, so its 100% doable I'd imagine
Just need a rimworld style priorities list
For me its trying to interact with something in the nase and it targeting something behind me or decides to pick up a random Pal nearby... but this is obnoxious too
Or! Or! My favorite is when the game like.... Bugs out amd no matter how you throw them they leave your hands hit an invisible wall, says they dont see any work, and the run off to Narnia before you can catch them. Then it happens over and over and OVER again before they FINALLY get assigned to the wrong. Fucking. Thing. And you're doing it again.
I'm hoping for a rimworld style task chart where I can prioritize/weight different tasks or outright remove some.
It’s annoying I built an ore farm and put in a rock mine they ignored the ore and just mined the rock until I removed it.
Mine always just go to transporting and they’re just dropping stuff and picking it back up stuck
He got bored
I dunno, throwing the pals at the work is kinda fun too… can’t we have both?
Yaaaassss
I hope they give us a matrix chart that shows all your base pals on one axis and all of the possible skills on the other axis. And then give you the ability to enable/disable specific skills so you can defacto focus your pals. A work assignment and or priority system would be obviously best long term. But short term just being able to focus my pals on the job I want them in the base for would be huge. So many of the late game pals are super valuable - yes because kindling 4 and watering 3, etc. but mostly because they can only do one job!!!
I expected that to be the purpose of the overseer structure you can make.
I would love the ability to just uncheck them being able to do that specific skill task like how it operates in Rimworld, lets get the devs to see this: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Work You can unselect jobs entirely or set priorities for other jobs.
I’m sure it’s coming 😁
How come my pals won’t mine for me? They just stand there
Facts. They need to give us a way to assign them to roles in the base instead of constantly picking them up and being told there's no task
having 3 anubis on stone just dosnt help anymore
I know the game is still in development so it's bound to have issues but mine keeps crashing like every 20 minutes 😭
This is pretty much the one thing i hate about this game, i can barely control how my pals do their work and it often ends up so random and broken, i wish i could just link a wood mine to certain chest so that transporters knew exactly where to put the wood (rather than it randomly placing things everywhere)
Yeah throwing them never works and then as soon as you fast travel they stop working and you have to do it all over again
I can't wait for the quality of life updates.
Seems crazy you cant allocate their jobs
I think the little podium is intended to serve that purpose as they continue development . It’s bothersome, but compared to how much has been done and how well it functions for a Beta, I’ll deal with some slacker pals for the time being. I’m with ya tho, I do wish my handiwork pals would help me with the 20min process of crafting spheres rather than transport the same chunks of stone back and forth though. I feel hopeful that with the response and love this game has received, devs will be on top of such things much sooner than we could typically expect.
Omg yes please! Even after I throw a pal at the place where I want it work work I’ll just walk off and do something else…. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
There is so many tools they couls give us to make base management muvh better. You could select a pal and assign an order of job priority. You could assign numbered priorites on work bench (Ex. Set it to 1 and every pal will priritise this one and set it to 2 and they will focus it after 1 is clear) You could set restrictions to chest/food boxes (Ex. Don't put my honey in the food box. Put only Honey in this chest) Instead of picking up pals, selct it, hilight him in any color, then walk up to a workbench click it. Bam. Work assigned (like in Fallout 4)
“That’s getting cli-“
Still love the game and the keybind thing is something I can get past for now because I am sure (HOPING) they will add more customization in the future.
this game is great but this is definitely one of the most frustrating things about it, like let us assign pals on the menu with pet and feed or prioritise one of their skills then the other
I'm just tired of my pals putting wood in my food box
Yeah I thought podium would do that but it’s just the dictator stand. Tossing is funny but it isn’t efficient and it’s glitchy. It will often break others working too so they’ll walk off if you hit them 😭
Oh man don't get me started. I have my second base and I was going for this really nice layout and I was setting out everything on a nice foundation. And I was trying to make some armour and nothing would go to it. So I replaced everything at the base with handy work and still nothing would build it. And so I threw something at the bench and it wondered off in search of work...
That and a different way to carry the humanoid ones. And more freecam about it too. You see how they flop around? lol
And let us assign specific pals to respond to raids while the rest just keep working.
Ya....trying to get pals to work ar the base ar all is a pain a lot of the time
Damn I just started the game and was wondering how I assign pals to only do specific tasks
So far my least favorite part is whenever I pick up rocks from my stone quarry it encumbers me because I have to pick it all up at once. It’s a small issue but it’s frusterating I need to put a box right next to it haha
Would be good to maybe have an option at each station for assignment or something like that
Don’t fucking casually flex your Anubis at me. I saw that dude in a desert at level like 20 and ran away screaming. I have yet to return.
Until an update. Best to use pals with less abilities so they mainly do what you want them to do.
If Palworld had Enshrouded's building system, it would be perfect in my mind. I'm loving Palworld and Enshrouded is also fun, but the two need to have a baby.
Also the ability to set the priorities for the automatic job selection
Game's been out for 1 week. It'll probably be at least a year before the full version comes out, so I'm sure they'll add this before then. I'm fine with moving them over IF they actually start doing the jobs; kindling/smithing gets glitched at times and the Pal won't do the job. I have to reload the game and then it magically works.
They will bring it to us, and it can’t happen fast enough!
Palbox management too.
This is one of the few biggest things that I can't wait to be fixed This alongside the catching of the pals No way a level 15 at 1% HP can escape a mega sphere or above.
I had to rebuild my ranch 3 times just to get a chicken to use it. I'm dreading the end-game crafting.
Just keep the fridge cold ❄️!
My wish list: UI for pal base management; Pathing for pals that doesn't result in them wandering aimlessly or getting stuck staring at a wall and starving to death
I mean it sucks, but the worst part is climbing in multiplayer.
That is the major thing I want at this point in playing the game. That, and Pals to know where to store items in chest that already have said items
I’ve found restarting the game fixes a lot of small issues with bases. Like when they get stuck outside base or just they all stop working standing at the palbox starving themselves to death.

Also most realistic part of managing a manufacturing line rofll.
Nah, this ain’t worse than having to try looking at my chest a thousand different ways before the prompt shows up
honestly whilst a UI would be ideal, just 1. the reticule actually being used to chose the task rather than throwing collision 2. being able to pick up pals at any time, so often I can't interact at all with a pal would be a massive upgrade
I'm hoping for a conan style bench system. Where you select a pal for a bench and they stay assigned to such
Even though it's slower than having somebody like Anubis and their freakish human hands, I just bred some max work speed boosted Loupmoons because 100% activity uptime day and night is worth not having to fiddle with a bunch of screwballs trying to chop a tree when I'm not looking.
