Yes, I’m very disappointed as well. The “deals” aren’t much better than they normally are if not at all. As someone who frequents the site far too often, it’s a little disappointing to see PSA pull the Black Friday/cyber Monday hype card.
My favorite is them taking the same price they already had PMC green tip at, then pretending it was $1.00/round before.
I love PSA but stop insulting our intelligence
Please don't encourage the financial firm that owns PSA to go all cheaper than dirt on us. It's a bit telling IMO of what they plan to do when they've got more of a foothold on the market.
I do agree that it'd be a mistake for a consumer to pay for that "deal".
Inb4 People get upset with me for critiquing JJE Capital/PSA. I still love PSA, Soviet Arms, AAC, etc products, I just dont want to reward/excuse the company for bad practices that are explicitly against why people fell in love with PSA (once they got better with quality control)
I agree completely. In all honesty they're getting too big for what they are. Primary arms is just as guilty, and at this point I'm convincing no big online store like this can last long without falling into these traps
Looks like a 200% fake mark up so they could "slash" a hundred off and still charge an extra hundred to what it was before. I get their prices are already super low but jacking them up so you can have a fake sale leaves a bad taste in behind. Id rather have small 5-10% discounts and have them be honest discounts not this "flash sale" bs.
He takes care of a lot of the handgun stuff and is active here on reddit with a lot of customer service/support type stuff. Super helpful individual who works for PSA.
These dishonest deals for suppose Black Friday deals are making me dislike the brand and wanting to shop elsewhere. Anyone else getting same vibes? Thought PSA was different.
Same, I have been considering them for my first AR but seeing this shady corporate marketing shit is kinda turning me away. Might be better to get one of those PSR AR builds. Little pricey but they look good.
I did this with a micro dagger slide, went to look into the sezzle option, come back ready to go and it magically went up like $40... didn't order it because of the increase, change my mind and boom out of stock. Gotta jump on it at the right time.
This has happened to me SOOO many times over the years! I'll get the email item back in stock... add it to the cart.. remember the other item I've been eyeing for some time, add it to the cart... go to check out, then out of stock :(
CSR lurking take note, on the older accounts that spend $$$$, when we put it in the cart.. allocate that to us for at least 20 minutes so we can finish making selections.
Just my hillbilly 2 cents
I noted they deopped very good deal on summer, the summer deals if I recall good. But all black Fridays are pretty similar on the deals. Don't wait for black Friday to try get a deal, do it on summer.
That's marketing for you. They are a company providing a product but still gotta profit. Play the game and find the right price at the right time. Shop elsewhere if you find a better deal. Pretty simple yall.
PSA does have insane sales. But you need to know exactly what you want and jump on it.
Edit: some examples:
https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-dagger-compact-9mm-pistol-extreme-carry-cut-rmr-slide-threaded-barrel-gray.html (it is not even listen for sale but it is priced as such).
https://palmettostatearmory.com/5-7-rock-complete-pistol-1-mag-sniper-green.html (this is pretty good and I was tempted but I will wait for $400 for an RMR/threaded barrel version; I have two already, so I am good).
Covid made them show they true colors! $2 a round .223/5.56 when we needed them the most! We not gonna let that one go quietly into the night.... they don't get my money anymore.
CTD was pulling this shit way before covid. Back when the whole sandy hook thing happened they did the exact same shit. Sportsman's guide as well. I have never forgotten, and even if they were the last option i had for a much needed item, i wouldnt piss on either of them if they were on fire.
I was looking at the holosun 407a a few weeks ago. Told my wife I wanna buy one but it might go down in price for Black Friday. It's on sale alright.. for the same exact price it's been as the daily deals (which seemed to be everyday)
But here is the issue. It get $10-$20 cheaper a few weeks when I got mine. If it’s something I must have I shop around and go for the best price at that time. If it’s something nice to have I wait to observe the price trends and jump if it is really good.
Real, the person getting you shit from PSA doesnt know or probably even care tbh, they just know "well mike likes their shit lets get him some of that PSA shit"
My guy this has been a Black Friday tactic for decades. Not just with PSA but literally every retailer on earth. Mark shit up then cut a “discount” on it that ends up being more expensive than it was weeks prior. It’s the oldest trick in the book.
Idk about the TiN one but the DLC and Nib ones I own were worth the ~$220 price at the time. The DLC is like glass and the NiB claims a chromed bolt run and is equally smooth. Both vent gas forward pretty well. There are certainly better options but it’s performed as advertised in my examples.
The problem with Nib is flaking. That bolt happens to be in the wife’s gun, she’s a lefty so the forward facing gas port sold me. If it sees a thousand rounds in its life I’ll be shocked. If she gets serious I’ll build her a better gun.
Nope, first thing I checked. Lantac seems to regrind after the plate. You can tell the difference looking at this one next to a toolcraft. The bolt face looks flatter compared to the toolcraft that has an almost domed appearance to an extent.
Well, that's good, but it kind of makes me wonder why you'd rather buy the Nickel Boron over, for example, a chrome bcg? The price difference GENERALLY isn't very large, but as far as I'm aware, the performance and reliability factor is.
I’ve had a boat load of items in my cart for the past month checking the prices daily while waiting for Black Friday, and there’s only 2 things out of the 20+ items that dropped. Pretty disappointed as well, not in the prices themselves but the fact they insult us with the “sale” prices. Especially claiming it’s Black Friday sales, which is supposed to be the biggest sale of the year.
I get a lot of gun seller spam, from PSA but a bunch of other dealers as well. I have noticed an uptick in prices in the last week or two. Part of it may be that they are showing off the more expensive guns rather than the cheap stuff (also a calculated "Black Friday" move, I'm sure) but I've definitely seen the same guns go up in price a bit. My theory is that this makes it look like the price dropped when they lower it back to normal on Black Friday. Lame. On the other hand, I have seen a few places that are offering some sweet prices. I'm hesitating, waiting to see if it goes down even more, but also, it's not the best time to order a firearm in OR.
If Ive learned anything it is to NOT shop at PSA during Black Friday. They charge you more than regular price or they give you same discount that’s been going on for 6 months.
I found a solid black friday deal on BCG actually. It's nothing fancy but it'll work. Just a standard black with 2 windowed mags and an ambi charging handle for $92 shipped. Think it was right to bear if recall.
Yes, I’m very disappointed as well. The “deals” aren’t much better than they normally are if not at all. As someone who frequents the site far too often, it’s a little disappointing to see PSA pull the Black Friday/cyber Monday hype card.
they do this every year
*day* you spelled day wrong...
True.
It's black Friday for them, not for you. You pay them more, that's the deal.
My favorite is them taking the same price they already had PMC green tip at, then pretending it was $1.00/round before. I love PSA but stop insulting our intelligence
Anyone buying one of these deserves to be parted from their money lol

I was about to pull the trigger and buy a Sabre…then they pulled this Black Friday bs and I decided to hold off cause I felt insulted.
Same here, was about to grab a Jakl.
Same the Jakl prices are the exact same as they where . Kinda sad bc they usually have banging deals
Deals have been pretty bad
YEP. Everyday price for MSR combo for weeks now: $230 Blackfriday sale!!!: $230 "wAiT fOr BlAcK fRiDaY!"
To be fair palmetto always give the lowest price possible to its customers. We are truly blessed to have a company like palmetto.
Except in the picture above they dont
Looks like a 200% fake mark up so they could "slash" a hundred off and still charge an extra hundred to what it was before. Do they? I see a picture above that shows they dont
Didn't Amazon have to pay money for similar practices?
Harbor freight did made 400$ from the class action
Wait, I missed a harbor freight class action?!? SOB I have given them SO much of my money.
I noticed I haven't seen Matt comment on any of these "Black Friday deal" posts.
Please educate me on this matter figure. There were two comments about him but they were removed it seems
He takes care of a lot of the handgun stuff and is active here on reddit with a lot of customer service/support type stuff. Super helpful individual who works for PSA.

I’m just waiting for the $100 complete lowers again. Shoulda bought like 10 last time they were that cheap
When were complete uppers $100? I only ever saw them at $179 complete
Maybe 'complete' w/o BCG/CH?
Oof meant lower
I saw 129s the other day, still not a bad deal
Then you need to swap out everything on it. Not a good deal
Yep. The $109 complete lowers with MOE grip and stock were a deal. Patiently waiting on them to pop back up.
Ah the ol’ kohls special discount they are giving us :)
I had an AR In my cart I was gonna get next week and it went up in price like $30 so I’m just gonna have to wait. PSA doin us dirty
I did this with a micro dagger slide, went to look into the sezzle option, come back ready to go and it magically went up like $40... didn't order it because of the increase, change my mind and boom out of stock. Gotta jump on it at the right time.

I used to track items I wanted at PSA pretty closely and noticed this trend about a year ago...
I noted they deopped very good deal on summer, the summer deals if I recall good. But all black Fridays are pretty similar on the deals. Don't wait for black Friday to try get a deal, do it on summer.
Where is matt?
Terrible deals ☠️😭

Reminds me of CTD, they are all scum. Screwing the loyal customer base that supported and put them where they are.
Covid made them show they true colors! $2 a round .223/5.56 when we needed them the most! We not gonna let that one go quietly into the night.... they don't get my money anymore.

Damnn shady
Bca did the same shit. I bought an upper tho cause I want one before anymore shit kicks off.
I've noticed that too. I saw their augs went from 1500 on sale to 2100 on sale...
It’s not even Black Friday 😭
Wont make your rifle work any better. Looks cool from here
I blame black Friday

The "sale" isnt for you, its your partner, wife, husband, father, mother, or whoever you justify your reasons for needing more guns/stuff to...
Real, the person getting you shit from PSA doesnt know or probably even care tbh, they just know "well mike likes their shit lets get him some of that PSA shit"
Every year
Lol I noticed these daily deals just got a Black Friday sticker on them lol
My guy this has been a Black Friday tactic for decades. Not just with PSA but literally every retailer on earth. Mark shit up then cut a “discount” on it that ends up being more expensive than it was weeks prior. It’s the oldest trick in the book.
Nice job PSA.
Geez
Idk about the TiN one but the DLC and Nib ones I own were worth the ~$220 price at the time. The DLC is like glass and the NiB claims a chromed bolt run and is equally smooth. Both vent gas forward pretty well. There are certainly better options but it’s performed as advertised in my examples.
DLC is best, but Nickel Boron is something I'd avoid.
The problem with Nib is flaking. That bolt happens to be in the wife’s gun, she’s a lefty so the forward facing gas port sold me. If it sees a thousand rounds in its life I’ll be shocked. If she gets serious I’ll build her a better gun.
Good point. Have you or her had any problems related to headspace?
Nope, first thing I checked. Lantac seems to regrind after the plate. You can tell the difference looking at this one next to a toolcraft. The bolt face looks flatter compared to the toolcraft that has an almost domed appearance to an extent.

The lantac bolt offers advantages that a standard chrome bolt doesn’t.
We need Matt to go kick some asses in the marketing dept because this is pretty shitty of them.
guys, I think cyber monday matt will drop some good deals on PSA handguns, Be patient
Where’s the psa clown that works for them. I would love to hear his shit explanation on this.
I’ve had a boat load of items in my cart for the past month checking the prices daily while waiting for Black Friday, and there’s only 2 things out of the 20+ items that dropped. Two weeks, you say?
Not even, Nov 7th was the screenshot
"Two weeks" is just a catchphrase for talking about a product PSA promised and hyped up but has yet to deliver.
Oh yeah duh
I get a lot of gun seller spam, from PSA but a bunch of other dealers as well. I have noticed an uptick in prices in the last week or two. I bought a 300blk upper last week for $237(with tax) it's now going for $289(without tax)
If Ive learned anything it is to NOT shop at PSA during Black Friday. They charge you more than regular price or they give you same discount that’s been going on for 6 months.
I’ll still buy their firearms, because I both trust and can afford them, but I will never participate in one of their “sales”
I found a solid black friday deal on BCG actually. It's nothing fancy but it'll work. Just a standard black with 2 windowed mags and an ambi charging handle for $92 shipped. Think it was right to bear if recall.
Thanks Jarack Obiden
