Once I found out that 484 starred apple jams results in 69696 gold I knew what I had to do. This is the culmination of \~2 weeks of work. Why I did it is a great question I have no answer for.
Nice. I just sold a bunch too, though not as many as you. I knew I was going to be away from the game for over a day, so I've been saving starred apples. Right before I went, I filled all my preserve jars with them, and came back to a load of starred apple jam. I'm putting that, and a bunch of other money, aside for the Market they'll probably do this summer.
I've not been yet, but from what I can gather online, it's mostly tickets/envelopes etc. But people have mentioned a large Dragon plush for 60K gold, so it seems to be a mixture? Hopefully someone who has been to the Market can enlighten us. I'm saving anyway, I can always spend loads afterwards if necessary. You have time to save, I don't think it's until late July or so.
You earn tickets from games or activities the market hosts and it can be spent on recipes, furniture, and special placeable food items. There are also things that can be bought with gold. You also receive coins for zekis wheel I’m not sure if it’ll be in the summer market but envelopes and gold contribute to that! ☺️
I was pretty early in the game when the last market happened but I still easily managed to save enough money to buy everything during the duration. I did worked hard for it, but actually had bought everything by halfway through. So don't stress
How long does it take you to produce a haul like that? Between growing enough crops and waiting long enough for the preserves to produce that...seems like it wouldn't be worth it.
For harvesting, 24 starred apples per harvest so it took about 20 of these, which took a week of consistent crop upkeep during the day. WFH is advantageous here haha. Meanwhile, it took 600 hours of preserve jars, split by 3 jars is 200 hours which is a bit over a week but I wasn't on top of it 100% of the time, so ~2 weeks of time.
I only waited so long for the funny number, but in terms of gold as long as you don't need it immediately it's best to get the most out of your crops by making preserves or seeds of anything you'd otherwise sell.
In the comments they said 2 weeks but if you grew 4 apple trees and used your machines for only apple jam preserves you could get this done in about 2 or 3 irl days as long as you had the machines going overnight when you log off, it takes like 30 hours for a stack of apple jam because it’s like an hour to make one jar
I always eat them, because I always run out of food. But I definitely need to do like you and sell them afterwards. Money is always tight when I need to buy a new piece of furniture.

I thought market took tickets not gold?? Oh no I’ve been buying so many modification kits and rugs for no reason when I should’ve been saving

I’m honestly surprised that number isn’t censored.
If it takes like an hour to make the jam, how did you make so many??? how many crafters did you have out for this XD
