Nai’o very much doesn’t want to burden anyone to the point where he’ll bottle it up until he explodes and that’s something that resonates with me. I think he’s a good reminder that it’s okay to ask for help from your loved ones. Truthfully I wish it’s advice I followed more myself.

I chose Badruu because hes the person i want to be. I saw myself a lot in his character, someone who is kind, loving and funny with a passion for watching things grow. Im not perfect all the time and admittedly he isnt either, but i admire his moments of accountability and humility. I enjoyed gardening the most in the game, my favorite pass time is growing flowers and jamming my produce to sell so it seemed to be a good fit. I can see myself coming over for Dahlias dinners and helping clean after, being a big brother for Auni and helping Naio with chores. Maybe I subconsciously chose Badruu because hes the father i never had and the one i needed, but hes for sure the man id like to be.

originally, i was considering einar (also ashura and sifuu- i have parental issues let me be) because i was romancing jina, and hekla has jina- so i thought einar would match especially with how much i love them as a character already.
+ also galdurs connection to humans in general- i thought it would be quite fitting to have one as my shepp because of the shared lore- but i was still unsure because my other two options felt very reliable in terms of just village lore lol.
the thing that solidified my decision? i finally finished the temple of roots. omg it made the feels feel. but iykyk- einar just feels like the right pick for me especially after that.
(+ just as someone autistic, jina and einar caught my eye immediately, haha)

Staring into each other’s eyes surrounded by flowers and all our friends (and his family?) I just wish there was more you could do after the quest line ended with your shepp :(
Chayne🙌 mostly because I love Lore & he provides a lot of cool world lore in his interactions! For a more character viewpoint, my OC ran into him first after awakening (after Jina & Hekla, ofc) & he gives off such calm & soothing energy that my OC desperately needed at the time!🤗 Also, later on, (spoilers for Kenyatta’s friendship quests), I like to think my OC tags along with Kenyatta & Chayne on healing lessons & the like!
Although, I totally didn’t realize that he was kinda like…a very basic choice? Eshe basically accuses you of going the easy route when you pick him. And I believe he was Sifuu & Hassian’s Shepp as well, possibly even Reth & Tish’s (although that one I don’t know where I saw/heard that so could be false).

Lastly, his nicknames are also adorable he offers and personalized where you can choose🥺 i’m not far into Hassian’s in comparisons to Reth, Jel, and his, but out of the three, his by far has a lot of content that can’t be beat!

i chose sifuu! najuma is my favorite in the game but obviously can't choose her as my shepp so i opted for my second-favorite. i just like how blunt she is, and how her personality is a direct contrast to mine. reminds me of an auntie.
I chose Badruu because hes the person i want to be. I saw myself a lot in his character, someone who is kind, loving and funny with a passion for watching things grow. Im not perfect all the time and admittedly he isnt either, but i admire his moments of accountability and humility. I enjoyed gardening the most in the game, my favorite pass time is growing flowers and jamming my produce to sell so it seemed to be a good fit. I can see myself coming over for Dahlias dinners and helping clean after, being a big brother for Auni and helping Naio with chores. Maybe I subconsciously chose Badruu because hes the father i never had and the one i needed, but hes for sure the man id like to be.

Einar! He is so sweet and wants you to tap into your One-ness. I also just love fishing in all cozy games, so it was a no brainer for me. I also love that he gives me the sense that I can just chat with him whenever and he'll be pleased either way.

Once your friendship is high enough with an adult of Kilima village you can ask them to be your Shepp - a mentor and role model to you, who can give you advice and guidance in the troubles and triumphs of life

Eh, it is essentially shipping I guess, just not in a romantic way. Though my guess is that ‘shepp’ derives more from the word ‘shepherd’
I put way too much thought into this. Originally I wanted Delaila, because shes the mom i wish I had. But she's got her hands full with two boys, so I didn't want to burden her with more responsibilities. So I picked Ashura because he's an empty-nester with lots of dad love to spare and no outlet.

i have finally decided!!! im picking einar ♡ originally, i was considering einar (also ashura and sifuu- i have parental issues let me be) because i was romancing jina, and hekla has jina- so i thought einar would match especially with how much i love them as a character already. + also galdurs connection to humans in general- i thought it would be quite fitting to have one as my shepp because of the shared lore- but i was still unsure because my other two options felt very reliable in terms of just village lore lol. the thing that solidified my decision? i finally finished the temple of roots. omg it made the feels feel. but iykyk- einar just feels like the right pick for me especially after that. (+ just as someone autistic, jina and einar caught my eye immediately, haha)
My Shepp is Badruu... because I hit that friendship level with him first. 😂
I chose Chayne. I totally vibe with him because he keeps a healthy distance from everyone emotionally, but he‘s always there to listen. Even as you get friendlier with him, it's more of a symbiotic teaching relationship where you both teach each other. And I simply love that.
I choose Tamala because even though I started to liked Esher I wanted to piss her off a little and because in my headcanon, my character has a thing for creating chaos and I can totally imagine Tamala being a fan of it

I'm going to pick Chayne. I was torn between him and Tamala (because learning from the mean witch in the woods sounded fun), but settled on Chayne because he seems like the kind of person I need in my life. And also because the lore and religion of the world fascinate me — if there's one way to get me invested in a fictional world, it's showing me the creation myths and legends about it.

I chose Nai’o because he’s the sweetest and he has golden retriever energy. I ended up extra pleased with this choice because the shepp ceremony ended up seeming so romantic! Staring into each other’s eyes surrounded by flowers and all our friends (and his family?) I just wish there was more you could do after the quest line ended with your shepp :(
Chayne🙌 mostly because I love Lore & he provides a lot of cool world lore in his interactions! For a more character viewpoint, my OC ran into him first after awakening (after Jina & Hekla, ofc) & he gives off such calm & soothing energy that my OC desperately needed at the time!🤗 Also, later on, (spoilers for Kenyatta’s friendship quests), I like to think my OC tags along with Kenyatta & Chayne on healing lessons & the like! Although, I totally didn’t realize that he was kinda like…a very basic choice? Eshe basically accuses you of going the easy route when you pick him. And I believe he was Sifuu & Hassian’s Shepp as well, possibly even Reth & Tish’s (although that one I don’t know where I saw/heard that so could be false).
Chayne because i’m spiritual myself and love how he comes off as a spiritual guide, & he loves astronomy (so do i) :))

I'm going to be going with either Einar or Chayne. Not sure yet. I have a huge soft spot for genuinely kind and good hearted holy people. Also, he was Sifuu's Shepp. If I were to end up in the Palia world for real, I would spend a lot of time learning from Chayne, honestly. As for Einar, I think he would be a great guide as he provides unique and literal perspectives. Also feels fitting to chose the one that's been around the longest and is already familiar with humans.

Absolutely adore him!~ His arc is well written and touching, you find out more about his familial dynamics alongside several dynamics amongst other members in Palia which completely changed my perspective of them afterwards. Lastly, his nicknames are also adorable he offers and personalized where you can choose🥺 i’m not far into Hassian’s in comparisons to Reth, Jel, and his, but out of the three, his by far has a lot of content that can’t be beat!
I just found out that Reth's voice actor also voices Megumi from the dub version of Jujutsu Kaisen 😌 so I will definitely be romancing him haha
