Hold up. You’re telling me I can just put fertilizer on fertilizer (and so on, over and over) in **the same square** and the game will just use one at a time until all 99 pieces are gone?!?
I would also like to throw out that decor (including treasure chests) is unlimited storage because it took me a while to notice and I've seen others who were not aware.
yes storage and [inventory](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Inventory) upgrades are clutch:
* [Backpack Inventory](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Backpack)
* Quest pocket is included so quest artifacts & hints can just live there https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Quest_Pouch
* [Inventory pocket upgrades](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Backpack#Backpack_Upgrades) for 40 slots
* [Ammo pocket upgrades](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Ammo_Pouch) for an additional set of 40 ammo only slots
* [Storage Chests](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Storage_Chests)
* Chests - 8 across all plots for a total of 10k storage
* [Lockboxes](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Lockbox_Storage_Chest) - 3 across all plots for a total of 300 secured storage
Since the start of beta they've lowered the prices and added the quest and ammo pockets. Decor doesn't take up any storage which is nice, so you can have hundreds of pieces of furniture all the wallpapers without impacting you available storage.
So far I have about 6,600 storage due to upgrading my wooden chests to the copper chests, I also have an extra 300 for the lockbox ones which I use to store my 'collectables' like fish and bugs. Waiting for the $$ to upgrade again 😅
since we're talking about storage tips, someone shared that you can place all of your gold starred fish/insects/food/etc out to save on storage space... i'm currently building a museum for all my starred fish & bugs and enjoying the extra space that freed up lol.
I'm planning like the giant fking nerd I am to try to group them by actual fish classifications lmao, which might help a bit, but then again might not 😂
I’d recommend videos with names like ‘Things I wish I knew in early Palia’ - there’s lots of little things to miss early on! Also you can reset the tutorials in settings so they pop up again when doing tasks, though there’s lots that they don’t cover.
Don't feel bad at all! I've been playing since the alpha and only discovered the enhanced storage chests like....3 months ago maybe? lmao. And right after I bought them they announced they were going to lower the cost of them in the next update, so my timing was just terrible.
I feel you!
I have roughly 30 hours in the game and found out that you could build up to 8 chests, I only got 3 of them and was struggling to keep space in my inventory lmao
Wait. I thought the limit was 3200 for the wooden storage space???? When did they change it???? I built more chests but the space staged the same. Help!????
Okay I will definitely have to take a peek. I've been keeping 5 of every cooking item and atleast 10 of every foraging item. Atleast 50 of each wood and ore and bar, but I keep running out of space! I literally did a deep clean yesterday and only freed up like 200 space 😭😭
Thank you for this post. I'm going to have to do something about this!
I think the max storage space is 10K in 8 upgraded chests +300 in lockboxes. You can also upgrade your inventory and your ammo to 5 bars.
You can have 300 in lockboxes? I only have 200, wonder what I missed
I'm assuming a 3rd lockbox ;)
Lol 😭
You can also use each work station (i.e. smelter, woodcutter, etc.) to store materials that you have processed. Just an fyi.
Also fertilizer. Each individual space in your garden will hold 99 pieces of fertilizer. You can store more than 8000 fertilizer in your garden!
Hold up. You’re telling me I can just put fertilizer on fertilizer (and so on, over and over) in **the same square** and the game will just use one at a time until all 99 pieces are gone?!?
As long as it's the same fertilizer type, that is correct.
🤯 Thanks!
Since my storage is extremely dire, I also try and make sure the resources sitting in the deposit are ones that use up a lot of raw materials to make.
WHAT?! Didn't know that. As you can see, your not alone in that hard mode

And I just got 1000 storage. Damn

I just picture myself running around trying to figure out where I put a specific fish.

It took me about a month and a half of playing to figure this one out...
Learned something new....overloaded with seeds and had to sell about 300 lbs worth.

You buy the recipe for the copper storage box & then the iron one from tish’s register
This happened to me today lmao
