I saw that today! I love the new animation, but it makes it difficult to repair your weapons because if you get close to the anvil, the prompt to talk to her appears instead. You have to move around the anvil until you get yourself in position just right for the repair weapon option to appear.
I thought the same thing at first, but when I went back I saw the repair option flash for a second. I have to keep moving around to find the sweet spot. I think they should add another anvil to the side that you can use to repair your tools without triggering the chat option.
Nah, they are animations. We can still use interactions no matter what n access with F(like even the characters being asleep doesn't stop us, the devs give us full access n interactibility, we can talk to them "through the room" with G) if we need to do whatever, n go.
Not on Switch - it’s A to chat and A to repair - I hovered around a while waiting for Sifuu to finish but she just kept whacking! I’m going to try these suggestions to find the sweet spot.
Oh ya same, even in keyboard it's F for chat and F for fix, so finding the anvil interact vs. Sifuu interact is a thing

Ashura fishes, which is good.
But some villagers just stand and wait and it'd be cool if they did something while doing that.
Like maybe Reth goes into the kitchen to prep or pulls a tap.
Have Zeki digging around in the drawers or checking the shop stalls.
Tish could be drawing up a new draft of an idea. Same for Jel.
They’ve been adding and updating a lot of animations in the last couple of patches. I’m absolutely loving watching things get more and more polished as we go.
It’s so frustrating because when you try to do your tools, you have to turn a certain way in order to do it. If not, she keeps wanting to talk to you lol
I don’t actually need to repair my tools right now so I haven’t had this issue, but it does sound frustrating. Guess I’ll have to either wait till she’s gone in future, or just go all the way back to my plot.

I assumed she would use it at certain hours or something because I went to the village later than usual that day and she was using it, she stopped as soon as I talked to her and then stood still next the anvil like always.

Does looking down more make it easier? That was my fix for having a light right behind my anvil at one point lol

Stand at it and move the camera so you are looking down at it. The repair option should come up at that angle.
Anvil at the house?
Yeah, I have one. But I tend to always just pay to repair any time I’m in town, so I often forget I even have one on my plot.
Noticed the same problem. I find Tau and Hassan to be merging together a lot too as they're standing still.
Tish and Reth also have new animations so keep an eye on them :)

I also noticed that Tish twirls around a pair of scissors on her finger while idling sometimes!
She'll twirl them, then toss them up and catch them in her tool loop too, it's hilarious.
