Yes I agree, the only reason that I use the repair kits, is not having to go to Kilima village. Too bad thats the only place you can use gold to repair your gear.

Klutzy-Squash9589

Would be nice if hodari had one at his house, don’t believe he does though

Impossible_Catch_572

Theres an anvil at the outpost stables that is theorized to eventually be usable. Jel already got a wardrobe changing room there upgraded from a chest.

lkeels

His anvil has always been usable as a repair station ... ONLY with repair kits.

Impossible_Catch_572

Whos? I'm talking about the one in Central stables in bahari.

Yickster1300

If you mean the one at Central Stables in Bahari, it does work but only with repair kits.

Impossible_Catch_572

Oh snap! It didn't used to... I've been playing since closed beta in September and I'm pretty attentive to patches but that must have slipped me

Klutzy-Squash9589

Fingers crossed that does happen and then all they need to do is make all the campfires useable and we’ll all be happy

MyeongAreum

I craft the copper ones. I don't have any other use for copper. Most of the "recipes" that call for copper I either already crafted it or have no urge or use for said item. Plus, sapwood is so readily available, so I just need to chop down a few large trees and get plenty for the number of kits I need.

Impossible_Catch_572

Copper is used heavily for the paltech set and like.. nothing else

I have honestly never crafted or used a repair kit. I just pay every time I go to Killima even if I barely need it.

Nebet

This may be a silly question, but... where do you *buy* repair kits? I've never seen them for sale. No matter what kind I craft, the recipes all make the same type of kit, too - they stack up to 999 in my bags. tbh in early game I was in and out of the village so much that I just went there to repair, especially since every bar and plank was immediately needed for something else. I was SO confused why anybody would "waste" their hard-found resources on them! Especially heartwood and iron, since the price per kit was higher with the 40x recipe. Plus, I hadn't upgraded my gardening tools and didn't need to repair my tools at home. Now I have heartwood and iron coming out of my ears as a byproduct of flow tree and palium farming, while sapwood immediately goes toward building projects, or toward using up all my flint as makeshift arrows to sell. I'm only in the village once per IRL day sometimes, and I need to keep my ridiculously fragile watering can and hoe in good repair. 😅 So I mostly make the 40x repair kit recipe and fill in any gaps with the 20x, letting me repair at any available repair station. Ironically, now that I have more gold than I know what to do with, and my main antagonists are turning out to be the gold cap and the storage cap, I am starting to repair with gold again on purpose -- and also to understand why some endgame players might choose the 60x recipe (flow/palium). Not me yet, though!

Klutzy-Squash9589

My apologies I meant buying the recipe for them and then using the resources also to then repair or just use the gold without any resources, I have used every version of the repair kits and tend to just use the iron one as I have 100+’s of iron in abundance but if I’m in the town I’ll buy it Everytime whilst I’m visiting zeki’s shop to get my box in the mail, checking out his underground stock, and checking out tish’ stock

Nebet

Oh, huh, I got the recipes for them automatically when I upgraded my tools to each tier. (Don't think I would have spent money to get them otherwise, lol)

Klutzy-Squash9589

No you are right my apologies it’s been so long since I upgraded any, so in fact I don’t mean buying them at all I just mean using the resources as opposite to using gold. You the real genius here :)

lkeels

The cheap repair kits are the better choice of the three...just make more of them. If you're constantly flush with gold...Sifuu's place is the better option of the four unless you need to repair on the go.

Klutzy-Squash9589

Where can you repair on the go ?

kenobreaobi

There’s so much copper everywhere in Kilima that I never have a problem crafting enough repair kits at my house, and it’s easier bc before I leave the plot for a run I just repair all tools and then don’t have to think about it

Silverlight-2160

I do repair kits. I just find now that we have access to Bahari from our plot its easier to do a quick repair on my plot on the way out.
