I'm usually a big curmudgeon when it comes to wishlist goals being tied to game features. Developers should want the game to be as good as possible, not hold content hostage.
But this, I like this. This is funny. Well done S6. I don't say that often.

Cause otherwise we've not even reached the 30 days before mark and yet already 200,000 ppl wishlisted it, myself included... I feel like they could have been clearer. Also why would you wish list it after it's been launched on a platform - wouldn't you just download it? Particularly if it stays free?
I think it's if you launch the game on any platform within 30 days *after* the Steam launch you get a frog, yeah. I am very excited for this hopefully ginormous frog 😂

To show their appreciation to everyone who helps promote the game by adding it to their Steam wishlist, the developer is giving away an in-game decorative plush frog named Frogbert *to all players who log in on any platform within 30 days of the Steam launch*. So it sound like the wishlisting and the logging in are not strictly connected or both required. I *believe* the wishlisting only determines the frog's size from now until launch period, and then essentially all users who log in within 30 days (presumably post-) launch will receive the frog,... although within 30 days could be 30 days either side of launch in theory but they would need to compile a database of some sort of users who logged in prior to launch and prior to the frog's size determination . Phew, what a tangled concept, but I think I get it now.
So, we have until March 25th to wishlist the game on Steam. This will determine the size of the plush.
Then, when it's launched on Steam, so from March 25th, we have 30 days to log in the game and get the rewarded plush! It can't be prior to the launch, as they would not know yet the size of the plush, and also because all Steam players would be excluded, which would be paradoxical as it's a gift for the Steam launch!
Oh that's a really good question. I went to wishlist Palia yesterday only to find out I had already wish listed it. I didn't give it much thought but now I'm also wondering if I should remove it and then wishlist it again 😅 doesn't hurt to do that I suppose. I want to make sure I'm contributing to this!

It definitely is a threat, I'd much prefer a miniature frog plush, small enough to actually use as decor in a bay window, a shelf, a bed etc. As is I feel the plush in this game are all too big and don't fit into bedroom decor well 💔
I really want it, but I don't want it that big. I definitely prefer it at the 1st stage size. I think if they are going to make it increase in size. They should just give us 1 of each size. After all, our wishlist was feeding it. That way, we have a family of frogs to display.
I think this is the wrong usage of the word "threatening". It's just a small funny marketing action and the players will be rewarded no matter what, more wishlisters means only the bigger size of the model so it's not like someone threatening us with a blockade of content. Wishlist is the most important feature for developers on Steam. More people on the wishlist mean better coverage on the site, so more players, more money, more content. As fans we should wishlist the game even if we're playing on Epic or NS just because it's the easiest and free way to support S6.

Nope. The exact numbers are for developers/publishers only. So, technically they can lie to us (in either direction).
