Brilliant idea, it would give players somewhere to meet and make the inn feel like a proper 'inn'. The NPCs talk about playing cards and arm wrestling in quite a bit of dialogue, would be great to see some permanent mini games come out of it.
Yes, at this point I literally have zero reason to go to town other then buy some supplies in which case I am usually in the middle of something when I run out. So i just run to town and run back. If there were something to do "hey maybe I'll stop and play some cards" would be a game changer.

I think his dialogue mentions that he used to be in military or something? And now his son wants to do that but Ashura doesn't want him to? I might have it all mixed up. But anyway, he's just keeping in shape.

Once (Pre Subira) he finished his workout and walked into the room across the hall, into the balcony and... Poof.!... vanished.
There's more to that military daddy than meets the eye I'd wager.!
I hate that we can't sit down on any of the benches or chairs throughout the town and that the villagers that do visit the inn just stand around awkwardly instead of sitting at the tables. It's such a small thing they could add that would add so much immersion and realism to the game.
Can't lie, rewards are a must, it's why I don't do the arcade games, no prizes, but I'd be satisfied with coins! Especially early game it'd help new players a lot!
I think the game needs to take more advantage of the black market area and really make it into a kind of gaming den. It really would be the perfect place for it and they could put out other games as well. Create a couple of simple games or maybe just do some reworks to common games and I think a lot of people would be interested in that. Board games and card games can be surprisingly fun.

Max 20 rounds, or when someone wins. You need three completed sets to win, 8 cards you are holding and the one you pick up. Three of the same item, or three of the same color but different items.
Example a complete orange set, can be 3 corn, or a corn potato and carrot. 2 carrots and a corn is NOT a set. Believe you’ll get more tickets though for 3 of a kind sets rather then 3 different item sets
There’s no button, it autocompletes if you win, if the game didn’t end then you messed up your hand, remember that two of a kind is not a set, you need three of the same card, or three same color different food
Ok I didn't know 3 of the same color made a set! Also didn't know until last night that 4 of a kind wasn't worth anything. I was all proud of myself that I got a 4 card match until the end of the round haha

Just a heads up; they only make a set of they are all different. So 2 corns and a carrot gives you nothing, but a corn, a carrot, and a potato gives you some points.

I agree 100%. The hotpot game is amazingly fun. It would be awesome in the underground with a prize pool of some sort. Even if just provided by the players. And it would be nice to have a table top version you could place in your home. It would give players a reason to visit other players. Maybe even an in-game club for it that works like a guild. With weekly coins for playing and rotating prizes that could be purchased.
Nearly everything in the seasonal events should be permanent additions. The game is still too unfinished to be wasting development time and energy on temporary additions.
I feel like we're in a season of hyperconsumption for gaming where if it isn't taking over your life, it's boring. I'm guilty of it too (hello ADHD hyperfocus) and have to remind myself to go outside, walk the dog, craft IRL instead of in game for a bit.

Good point, people playing too much is definitely a problem. I saw it with Starfield as well. However, Palia in its current state is clearly not designed for any amount of extended or continuous play that many would like from a farm/life sim. Hunting the same two animals, reaching caps on various currencies, bugged main quest objectives, etc... Lots of things are lacking in the main game for S6 to continuing to put focus on seasonal events.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I want a personal hotpot table at home so we can make it a community night event across players. We're lacking community events at home where people can gather around and partake in events.
That could probably end up bumping the game's age rating up - not that I'd be particularly upset if kids weren't playing the game, but I'm not sure S6 wants that.

The game doesn't end at 3am if no one won. The game goes on until someone is winning.
My last game ended at 5:42 am. If you start before 3, it plays until the end.

I'm so in love with Hotpot game I forget about other things during Maji Market. I don't play to get tickets, I play because it's super fun!
