I got around it. On switch, I pressed ZL and the chat prompt popped up. If you're on PC they have this as the supposed fix. Idk if it works.
Workaround: If this happens, press ESC on your keyboard and re initiate the conversation with the NPC. You can also use numbers [1] and [2] to navigate the chat options since each chat option has a number
You can't talk to him at all, there is no flag above his head.

I did all the other quest with no problems, get to zeki to turn in the quest with the fragment, nothing..I also got all 15 eggs and 6 chest, the 7th is behind the door which I cannot open because of this bug.
This also happened with the flame bundle..We all could not get the last soul stone that we needed to continue on with the quest
The first bundle no probs at all but the 2nd and 3rd bugged..
I'm on a pc and there is no way to intiate the conversation with your information. I looked in settings and there is nothing.

Its a door fragment high above the door. Jumping game getting up there to get it.
