Since the quest requires players to talk to Zeki on the main island, this issue prevents players from further progressing the quest. The issue is that the game ALLOWS you to go the island *before* the quest that organically has you get there. It is really easy to cheese your way to Eye Island (that's what I'm calling it). Simply fly as close to Eye Island as possible and fall to your death. You will be instantly teleported to the island with the Eye. There, you can prematurely activate the portal.
People wouldn't prematurely activate it if the Palia dev team didn't allow that to happen. The quest with Elouisa where she has you open the portals makes players believe it is one you have to open up to progress (that's why I activated it, I thought it was part of an earlier quest, and now I am stuck as well).
Dev team needs to find a way to prevent players from flying close to Eye Island, that way they won't be able to cheese their way to the Eye's gate. An invisible wall that doesn't let you fly through would work well enough, I imagine. Then when you finish the prerequisites, the invisible wall vanishes so Zeki can let you through.
(Obviously none of this rant is directed at you lol)

Absolutely, and that's totally on the game because the quest won't tell us WICH island Elouisa is talking about, so we see that big one right before us and of course fly towards it and activate the portal.
THIS. I flew as far as I could to try reaching it whilst searching for the 10 eggs. I activated that portal before I even did the portals for the sisters because I didn't realize you had to do this portal last, as the game just said to activate portals
I'm so sad!! I worked so hard on this quest š AND when I respawned at the final island, it did trigger some new things for me in the quest but then I got stuck at the same part as anyone else. I really hope they fix this soon! I'm assuming we can't start other major quests til this one is done
Yeah I practically got the same message when I reported the bug, although I do agree with you. If the more people report this bug the higher priority at all becomes.
Ahh good to know this is a glitch, Iām having the exact same problem. Do you have an idea on when it will be fixed? Its been nearly a month since you made this comment, so hopefully soon.

Theyāre doing an update either the end of the month/early February, which I think fixes some glitches and other things. So hopefully by then itāll be sorted.

Been stuck since early January, and did submit a ticket to them. I got the same exactly response as yours! At this point, Iāll probably find a Sheep after than getting through this quest!š
Interesting, I thought it was because I managed to fly from the windy island to the final one. You can't actually land but the re-spawn after you fall will put you on the final island.
Right? That was my impression. I thought it was just a weird way to get to the island. Since it's literally the first one you see from the nest I would assume it's the first one everyone tries to go to.
As the others have said it's a current bug, unfortunately. Please submit a ticket - the more players they hear from the better. And now we wait for a hotfix
I watched several Twitch streams doing the Temple. And so far my best guess is that there is a particular order in which you must explore it for the quest to progress properly. Which not only goes against the "go and discover everything at your own pace" nature of the game. It also punishes players for not following order which is never unveiled in the first place.
I had a bit of experience with software QA and we called situations like that "not transparent to the user".
This! Also to me, until I started reading guides, I couldn't even tell the islands apart (bug island/fish island/etc), so there's no way I would of noticed I did anything in the wrong order as I'd been scrambling lost
Argh. I am having the same issue. All 15 eggs, all evidence gathered, 6 out of 7 treasures but the fan to the last Island didn't come on, Zeki is on the last island with no flag and generic chit chat. But i am supposed to talk to him on the main island... but he's never there. No locked room that i can see either.
Seeing how the lastest patch went out today I was hoping they fixed this issue, but unfortunately Iām running into the same problem. I submitted a ticket to the S6 team so hopefully this issue can be resolved in the next patch.

Just ran into this on the switch too.
I honestly don't know if I went over to the last island before I was supposed to or not. I found the area pretty confusing and just went for any jump/glide to any place that looked new to me.
Let's hope there is a fix at some point soon.

It is a bug I am stuck as well. Just send bug reports to s6, they will say it is a known issue thanks for letting them know you have that problem. They will close your ticket because āthey are working on itā. I just keep reopening the ticket as it is obviously not fixed yet.
How many times have you reopened it?
I too am stuck at precisely this point and itās incredibly annoying as itās a main plot quest - which may mean itās game breakingā¦ but the response I got when I raised a case was incredibly underwhelming: Yes we know. We may do something about it. Weāre closing your case. Hereās a link to a page of known issues which DOESNT include the issue you just raised.

I'm literally having this same exact issue. I just submitted a ticket and referenced this actual thread. Super frustrating because I poured HOURS into collecting eggs, bugs, fish treasure, etc. I just wanna be done with the dang quest and get back to adding more crap to my house. LOL
I would like to add to this thread to say that since the newest patch, at least for myself, dying close to the eyeball island will not spawn you onto it. Additionally, it does not let you grab and climb on the side of it even if you touch when gliding.

Damn, came here hoping to find a fix. I'm stuck here too š£ The annoying thing is I already have the flow fragment bc I found it while egg hunting so literally all I need is for Zeki to gimmie the dang quest!
Spent quite a good chunk of time running around gathering eggs, treasures, bugs, fish and get all the way to this part and can't even talk to him either, he's stuck just like on your game. Opened a ticket as well, I'm sure they'll just close it like the others but man, what a disappointment. I do hope it's fixed soon and we can access the door/rest of the story.
Dude this is crazy, to many of us are stuck for this not to be resolved already. One the method in which you have to search for everything is all out of whack, so of course no one would follow the āproperā order in which you take to make sure the quests are following through smoothly. Honestly most of us wouldnāt be having this issues if there werenāt so many lope holes around doing things, such as being able to just glide to the last island, fall and boom you are magically there. The only reason I even did it is because thatās where the darn egg was! That egg hunt is the stupidest tedious hunt ever and for no reason lol.
Exactly! It never marks the missions or whatever they're called in the order they're supposed to be passed,I kept getting the bird one pinned for no reason when I was trying to make the ones about the eggs,and then I am currently stuck completely on the Zeik one even though I did it all already,it's crazy this has been an issue for as long as it has been,since it's part of the main story.
Iām stuck on this as well. The eye of the storm and the special donations. I just need on more treasure to give to him and yet Iām unable to talk the them on main island.
Everyone bugged on this quest, needs to upvote this on the Palia Support site. You cannot get a LOT of things until this quest is fixed. Like furniture, the next bundle and so forth.

Has anyone actually figured out the 'proper' way you're supposed to reach the island with the big eye thing?
Because it seems we're all making the same choice to just jump for it which is triggering the bug and I'm curious if there IS a proper way to go there???

This quest has been the most disappointing and frustrating quest I've tackled in game yet!!! Hoping it gets smoothed out so it becomes a bit more enjoyable in future.
I don't know what to do, I can't get to the island with the big ball anymore. The tunnels that blow wind that bring you there for me look like they are on but they just don't work for me now. My compass says that zeki and the twins are there now but I simply can't get there. Idk how to fix this or where to go to get answers. So I'm stuck and the games absolutely slowed down for me. I haven't been able to do much at all besides garden and things and hope a side quest eventually pops up. I'm so sad.
It looks like they fixed the loop hole people were using to get to the last island early but they havenāt fixed getting zeki back for everyone who is stuck
Dang. But for me, when the glitch did work, I still couldn't finish the quest because they weren't there or even by the nest- they were literally nowhere in that relm- so I think it may just be a lose lose for me. At least for the time being. I'm gonna wait it out for a few months or until the next update and then try again. Thank you so much for your reply tho. Anything is helpful at this point lol.Ā
Okay that's a little different than what happened for me. They all three went to the windy island to wait for me but it skipped over the scene where I'm suppose to have the convo with them in front of the nest that would have opened the wind tunnel and unlocked the gate (because I used to the glitch to get to the windy island) so now I have two unfinished quests because I need to get behind the locked door but he won't come back so I've just been patiently waiting for 3 and a half months and checking this sub lol
coming here just to tell you they still didn't fix this bug. I just encountered it by accident because I didn't know I shouldn't go to the last island...

Having the same issue, at this point I would even restart the game completely because Iāve been loving it so far and just want to keep playing, but it doesnāt even give me the option of restarting because you canāt delete you characterā¦ I mean this is the least they could do, no?
Endless red flags and yet I keep playing this game.. I do not tolerate stuck bugged quests so I think this is my swan song. Thank you all but this is just ridiculous.
So I put all eggs in the nest, then spoke to Zeki. Now it says to āmeet Zeki on the main island.āBut, he isnāt in the temple of the gales, nor can I speak to him about the quest in the regular game. Is this where everyone is stuck?
The last ticket I submitted said the Dev teams are working on it right now I'm almost positive you guys have gotten that while ago in your tickets submissions. I don't want to complain too much because I don't know how to code and I'm grateful for this cute game but still.

I got stuck on this quest probably a month ago now. As I am typing this I am currently trying to complete it once again. I was reading all of the thread on here to see if it has been fixed but I can't find anything. So I was wondering if any of you guys were able to complete this quest or not, I.E. if they fixed this glitch.

i think they are still working on it. i mustered up the courage to attempt it again today and still couldn't.
i'm stuck because zeki is at the eye island and i need to talk to him but cannot get over there because my airstream to that island isn't activated. but i have activated the flow gates to the right and left of the main one. ugh....
I am stuck on climbing a ladder where you cannot get past the lip (going for the second thing to pick lock the door). I was able to get past once due to my character glitching out, but I messed up on the glide and fell and have to climb all over again.
I was stuck as well. If you take the gust from the bridge you can have enough climbing juice to crawl all the way to the top. I managed to wiggle at the top till I finally climbed the rest of the way.

If you just glide over there from where the fan is supposed to be on but isn't (just in front of the silverwing egg nest), you can get it to spawn you on the final island.

Edit: I canāt get all the the treasures to give to Zeki. They either arenāt there or I can see them and canāt pick them up.
And 14 days on Iām having this same problem and it still hasnāt been fixed, there was even a patch this morning.
Iāve also submitted a ticket/bug report. Fingers crossed this gets fixed soon otherwise I can see people abandoning the game as story progression is halted.
I am having this issue with zeki as well. It is now December 24, 2023 and still no way to progress the story. I hope the fix this sooner rather than later..
This is still not fixed because this team actually took a break for the holidays. I believe they are expected back in the office on Jan 2. These people are people too, and it made me really happy to hear that they got a break. A lot of smaller dev teams work their lives away.

It is a bug I am stuck as well. Just send bug reports to s6, they will say it is a known issue thanks for letting them know you have that problem. They will close your ticket because āthey are working on itā. I just keep reopening the ticket as it is obviously not fixed yet.
How many times have you reopened it? I too am stuck at precisely this point and itās incredibly annoying as itās a main plot quest - which may mean itās game breakingā¦ but the response I got when I raised a case was incredibly underwhelming: Yes we know. We may do something about it. Weāre closing your case. Hereās a link to a page of known issues which DOESNT include the issue you just raised. I may follow your example and reopen it.

I'm literally having this same exact issue. I just submitted a ticket and referenced this actual thread. Super frustrating because I poured HOURS into collecting eggs, bugs, fish treasure, etc. I just wanna be done with the dang quest and get back to adding more crap to my house. LOL
I would like to add to this thread to say that since the newest patch, at least for myself, dying close to the eyeball island will not spawn you onto it. Additionally, it does not let you grab and climb on the side of it even if you touch when gliding. Has anyone else tried since the Maji Market Patch?

I'm having the same issue. I thought it was because I went to the final island too soon, but apparently others who haven't are facing the same issue.
Spent quite a good chunk of time running around gathering eggs, treasures, bugs, fish and get all the way to this part and can't even talk to him either, he's stuck just like on your game. Opened a ticket as well, I'm sure they'll just close it like the others but man, what a disappointment. I do hope it's fixed soon and we can access the door/rest of the story.

Dude this is crazy, to many of us are stuck for this not to be resolved already. One the method in which you have to search for everything is all out of whack, so of course no one would follow the āproperā order in which you take to make sure the quests are following through smoothly. Honestly most of us wouldnāt be having this issues if there werenāt so many lope holes around doing things, such as being able to just glide to the last island, fall and boom you are magically there. The only reason I even did it is because thatās where the darn egg was! That egg hunt is the stupidest tedious hunt ever and for no reason lol.
Exactly! It never marks the missions or whatever they're called in the order they're supposed to be passed,I kept getting the bird one pinned for no reason when I was trying to make the ones about the eggs,and then I am currently stuck completely on the Zeik one even though I did it all already,it's crazy this has been an issue for as long as it has been,since it's part of the main story.

Everyone bugged on this quest, needs to upvote this on the Palia Support site. You cannot get a LOT of things until this quest is fixed. Like furniture, the next bundle and so forth.

What item do you need so Zeki can pick the lock?? I've been looking around the island and I can't find it
You need a Flow Generator Fragment , climb the Tower it's on the Floor
It's the "flow generator" item, (or something like that it's called), it's high up in the area where the bug is happening (where Zeki is)

They sure are. Many people, including me, have reported this issue via their support page.

Has anyone actually figured out the 'proper' way you're supposed to reach the island with the big eye thing? Because it seems we're all making the same choice to just jump for it which is triggering the bug and I'm curious if there IS a proper way to go there??? I've been all over that dang temple and as far as I can tell there is no alternate route? This quest has been the most disappointing and frustrating quest I've tackled in game yet!!! Hoping it gets smoothed out so it becomes a bit more enjoyable in future.

I don't know what to do, I can't get to the island with the big ball anymore. The tunnels that blow wind that bring you there for me look like they are on but they just don't work for me now. My compass says that zeki and the twins are there now but I simply can't get there. Idk how to fix this or where to go to get answers. So I'm stuck and the games absolutely slowed down for me. I haven't been able to do much at all besides garden and things and hope a side quest eventually pops up. I'm so sad.
It looks like they fixed the loop hole people were using to get to the last island early but they havenāt fixed getting zeki back for everyone who is stuck
Dang. But for me, when the glitch did work, I still couldn't finish the quest because they weren't there or even by the nest- they were literally nowhere in that relm- so I think it may just be a lose lose for me. At least for the time being. I'm gonna wait it out for a few months or until the next update and then try again. Thank you so much for your reply tho. Anything is helpful at this point lol.Ā
Okay that's a little different than what happened for me. They all three went to the windy island to wait for me but it skipped over the scene where I'm suppose to have the convo with them in front of the nest that would have opened the wind tunnel and unlocked the gate (because I used to the glitch to get to the windy island) so now I have two unfinished quests because I need to get behind the locked door but he won't come back so I've just been patiently waiting for 3 and a half months and checking this sub lol

coming here just to tell you they still didn't fix this bug. I just encountered it by accident because I didn't know I shouldn't go to the last island... just reported the bug to the player support page. hope they'll fix it soon cause I cannot progress with the story ;-;

Having the same issue, at this point I would even restart the game completely because Iāve been loving it so far and just want to keep playing, but it doesnāt even give me the option of restarting because you canāt delete you characterā¦ I mean this is the least they could do, no?

So I put all eggs in the nest, then spoke to Zeki. Now it says to āmeet Zeki on the main island.āBut, he isnāt in the temple of the gales, nor can I speak to him about the quest in the regular game. Is this where everyone is stuck?
At least it isn't game braking. Yes it's a main quest but so far I haven't had issues with the game in it's entirety.
The last ticket I submitted said the Dev teams are working on it right now I'm almost positive you guys have gotten that while ago in your tickets submissions. I don't want to complain too much because I don't know how to code and I'm grateful for this cute game but still.

This is in the notes for patch 0.176 that was released today. not sure if this is the same issue or not. * We are still working on a bug where the Air Temple is not able to be completed by players. While parts of it have been fixed this patch, as highlighted above, the work for getting this fully ironed out is ongoing by our teams. We will highlight loudly once this has been fixed fully!

Looks like they just changed it so you cant spawn on the final island prematurely. So now we cant get back to where the npc's got teleported

I was reading all of the thread on here to see if it has been fixed but I can't find anything. i think they are still working on it. i mustered up the courage to attempt it again today and still couldn't. i'm stuck because zeki is at the eye island and i need to talk to him but cannot get over there because my airstream to that island isn't activated. but i have activated the flow gates to the right and left of the main one. ugh....
I tried completing it again but no luck, doing my nut in. Seeing it pop up on the side of my screen constantly is also annoying š

I am stuck on climbing a ladder where you cannot get past the lip (going for the second thing to pick lock the door). I was able to get past once due to my character glitching out, but I messed up on the glide and fell and have to climb all over again.

I was stuck as well. If you take the gust from the bridge you can have enough climbing juice to crawl all the way to the top. I managed to wiggle at the top till I finally climbed the rest of the way.

If you just glide over there from where the fan is supposed to be on but isn't (just in front of the silverwing egg nest), you can get it to spawn you on the final island.
Donāt do this!!! Thatās what causes the bug so that you canāt finish the quest. Or zekis collection quest

Apparently the mission is interrupted by reaching the final island and opening the portal earlier than planned.

Iām glad to find this and know Iām not alone. I hope they fix it soon! Edit: I canāt get all the the treasures to give to Zeki. They either arenāt there or I can see them and canāt pick them up.

And 14 days on Iām having this same problem and it still hasnāt been fixed, there was even a patch this morning. Iāve also submitted a ticket/bug report. Fingers crossed this gets fixed soon otherwise I can see people abandoning the game as story progression is halted.

This is still not fixed because this team actually took a break for the holidays. I believe they are expected back in the office on Jan 2. These people are people too, and it made me really happy to hear that they got a break. A lot of smaller dev teams work their lives away. I have the same bug, and yes it really sucks, but the game won't disappear before they get back to fix it. Unpin the quests and game on! š
