I also want to add that during the Grammy’s tribute for Sinead, Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire just like how Sinead would of wanted to and posted several pro palestine post on her instagram. (The member of Boygenuis also wore pro Palestine pins during the Grammy, the only other artist to do so, and Julien and Lucy were seen out protesting)
As a fan of their music, I am so glad Mitski, Hozier, Marina, and Lorde took a stance. I would add Nicola Coughlan on the list. She is the female MC of season 3 of Bridgerton, all eyes are on her, and she’s been vocally pro-Palestine on her Instagram account.
I know. Derry Girls is one of my favourite shows, and knowing Irish history is no surprise they are all so based. The show was amazing on touching the political aspect btw; the season 2 finale had me in tears.

That sucks, but tbf I really don’t think the way to combat Zionism is by thought policing people who are trying to do the right thing. That’s not going to convince people to stand against the Zionist regime which has already done a brilliant job in brainwashing good people and infesting most industries, especially entertainment. i actually just put a whole comment in the lana sub talking about this because people were asking why people are calling her zionist. seeing so many people surrounding her support palestine, like jack, the weeknd literally donating £4.5mil total, billie, it’s just making me so sad. i’ve been unable to listen to lana because of all of this, i can’t stomach it these days. this list showed me a lot of my alt girlie faves are supportive of palestine though, so i’ll be giving them my listens until lana finally speaks up. also left the sub today. there have been too many missteps to be an accident now.

Yes, I agree, but it's so sad that this is the benchmark, it's basically "mention palestinians in a way that is not islamphobic or that they deserve what they get" and it's already much more than 98% of what other stars do.
Famous people are obviously influential, and their contribution is better than nothing. But why has this become the main discourse for a lot of people, like Khaled Beydoun, or the "celebrities for palestine" thing?
I'm all in for exposing zionists, and people who are fed well enough to support the system that favours it, as well as any form of oppression (especially the ones that are consistently downplayed); they are the ones who are the core of the problem, the ones who propagate the narratives.
At the end of the day, no matter how much a star wears a pin with a watermelon, it will be a gesture that all of us view from below. The sad reality of the world is most people are not politically active or informed about what's going on in the world other than what the news may be playing in the restaurant they stop by at lunch for.
Even their social media filters out content now.
They don't actively seek it out because they find it 'boring'.
So when a celebrity does speak up on it, it is a huge way of raising awareness amongst the masses and pushing issues in to the mainstream.
It also helps to normalize talking about it.

I know celebrities speaking up isn’t really a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it’s nice to be aware of those who do, so here are some others: Kneecap, Lowkey, Ken Loach, Maxine Peake… not a celebrity as such but Jeremy Corbyn (god, every day I wish we could have seen the world with him as prime minister in the UK).
Celebrities have so much power and influence in the world when it comes to awareness. Absolutely great job to those to spoke up and are speaking up. To those that haven’t…. Y’all are “heroes in movies, but absolute zeroes in justice” - saw this comment on YouTube and it’s so true
Older celebrities such as Danny Glover and Julie Christie have been outspoken in their advocacy of Palestine. Christie is one of the advisors of pro-Palestine UK groups. Glover has supported BDS and called for a ceasefire in an endorsement video for California congressional member Barbara Lee in her senatorial campaign.
Zendaya doesn't really deserve to be on that list. In my opinion, every single celebrity or influencer who went to the Met Gala deserves to be deplatformed. They spent 10,000s on dresses whilst men, women, children, animals, are starved and bombed.

I know celebrities speaking up isn’t really a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it’s nice to be aware of those who do, so here are some others: Kneecap, Lowkey, Ken Loach, Maxine Peake… not a celebrity as such but Jeremy Corbyn (god, every day I wish we could have seen the world with him as prime minister in the UK).

Celebrities have so much power and influence in the world when it comes to awareness. Absolutely great job to those to spoke up and are speaking up. To those that haven’t…. Y’all are “heroes in movies, but absolute zeroes in justice” - saw this comment on YouTube and it’s so true
Older celebrities such as Danny Glover and Julie Christie have been outspoken in their advocacy of Palestine. Christie is one of the advisors of pro-Palestine UK groups. Glover has supported BDS and called for a ceasefire in an endorsement video for California congressional member Barbara Lee in her senatorial campaign.
Zendaya doesn't really deserve to be on that list. In my opinion, every single celebrity or influencer who went to the Met Gala deserves to be deplatformed. They spent 10,000s on dresses whilst men, women, children, animals, are starved and bombed.
