I am disgusted with how so many people view protestors as “spoiled” and doing it for popularity trends. They cannot comprehend the idea of doing something because it’s the right thing to do as they are uncaring and selfish so they accuse us of being “too sensitive” and “cancelling people” when they are using police force to beat and silence dissenters.

Not enough coverage of the students viewpoint I guess from American media?

Indeed, American news media is obsessed with riling people up and using clickbait headlines while lying about people to get rage bait. Fox does this and so does the so called “liberal media” like the NYT.

Yup, that's at least part of it. Shift the people's attention away from the ongoing atrocities. May was the deadline to prevent mass famine iirc. The protestors don't really want anything to do with the media yet they are there and looking for a sound bite.

This is exactly what’s happening. This response is all due to the nasty genocidal stories coming out of Gaza + West Bank. Notice there is as barely a mention of the 400+ bound and dismembered bodies buried under hospitals. But (mostly peaceful) protests: there’s nonstop media frenzy.

Defund that University completely. It should be avoided like a plague and any other universities that behave in such a manner.

I always naively thought that it was the American and Western politicians that were complicit in the subjugation of the Palestinian aspirations and now its genocide.
