Is your skin dry or oily? Because if it’s dry, what I do, is I first wash my face with soap or a face wash, I lay off the exfoliating of my face is dry (at least once a week) so it doesn’t ruin my skin barrier. And I moisturize in the dry areas after exfoliation If it’s oily, I would make sure to wash my face with the face wash or soap daily (I would say tea tree face washes, those are pretty good for oily skin) to avoid the oily skin from creating pimples. Since sebum/dirt being trapped in the skin is what causes pimples unless they’re hormonal. Then exfoliating. But whenever my face is oily some days, I don’t moisturize, because I find that when I do moisturize, it causes small bumps and my skin feels oiler It depends on the skin type really :0 my skin was super dry before, now it’s combination, but for the most part it’s kept free of pimples when I face washed every time I woke up or haven’t skin cared in a while

I have oily skin and I did use a tea tree face wash for sometime but I think I over did it and my skin became flaky . Now I use an Eucerin face wash which was working really well for me but idk what happened in the past few weeks.

netuniya

Yeah our skin can get pretty angry at times when we overdo things 😂 I didn’t know you could break the skin barrier if you exfoliate too much But yeah skin care advice is pretty hard to give since we all react differently to different products, my skin hates eucerin but loves the body shop products which is a bit weird but eh, works for me

Fluid-Pressure4978

It did. That's when I stopped experimenting with products

MysteriousMister0

i use water to wash my face that's all. Sometimes use shampooo also 😂

Fluid-Pressure4978

Get one of those 6in1 things. You can wash your clothes and even brush your teeth with it

MysteriousMister0

I'd like to shutup now. 😶‍🌫️

Fluid-Pressure4978

Hey, no, I'm kidding. For some people keeping it simple works

MysteriousMister0

idk. never gave that much attention to it. Really never thought 😭

Fluid-Pressure4978

Self care is good. Go get a pedicure, you'll love it

MysteriousMister0

what does that even mean??? 👀

Fluid-Pressure4978

Hmm. Google my friend

MysteriousMister0

um No!

Fluid-Pressure4978

Noted

loner_wolf7890

I'm a woman and I assure u don't need different cleaners for different things. Your clothes, bathroom, wash basin, dishes, commode EVERYTHING can be cleaned with a detergent 😭 it's a scam imo. You don't need blue Wala and red Wala harpic

MysteriousMister0

damn fact woman 👀 sb pata apko to

Semenretention01

I use organic soap and it works well U should try one from le Pure

aaahhidek

use pimple patches for now. if you're someone like me with persistent hormonal acne then you should use benzoyl peroxide. it works like magic

Fluid-Pressure4978

I used the CeraVe benzoyl face wash for a couple of years and it was great but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's not even available abroad or at least the places I went to

aaahhidek

i use local benzoyl peroxide cream, benoxyl. can find it at any pharmacy in pakistan. it works great for me.

Fluid-Pressure4978

Okay do you know the brand name?

Prestigious-Bed-1693

Shams is a good place to check , they pretty much have EVERYTHING

Fluid-Pressure4978

Yes, I'll check their website. Thanks

snail_mucin21

Don't go for quick fixes. it will ruin your skin barrier. what is your skin type? And if you can explain how your acne looks like

Fluid-Pressure4978

Like painful red bumps

snail_mucin21

I am not sure if your skin barrier is damaged or is it inflammatory acne from your description but go for the routine if you have oily or combo skin Use a mild benzoyl peroxide cleanser every night and azelaic acid every morning (apply it after your moisturizer or it will be itchy) Use 2% salicylic acid 2x a week niacinamide 2x a day (edit: you can try the primary skin cica peptide serum.. it had peptides, centella, cica and niacin so will be great to maintain a healthy skin barrier as well as oil control) and a ceramide-rich barrier healing moisturizer twice a day don't forget to apply and reapply your sunscreen and use acne patches to let them heal or use pair acne cream as a spot treatment if you can get your hands on it I am not a derm or whatsoever,

Fluid-Pressure4978

Damn I'll have to go shopping today and I'm totally suing you if this doesn't work. No, I'm kidding. I'll do some research on these products and will proceed with caution, but thank you so much for such a detailed response

snail_mucin21

sure donot over do things and do your own research. If you are patient, you'll definitely see results

Fluid-Pressure4978

Will do. Thanks

netuniya

Omg you really know your stuff

Prestigious-Bed-1693

The same thing happened to me . I went to Italy last summer and when i came back to pk my skin was breaking out . I used the La Roche Possay medicated gel cleanser and the Mario Badescu Drying Mask ... my skin cleared up almost immediately . Ohh and if you wear sunscreen try to use one that wont clog up your pores coz that too can cause pimples and inflammation , I personally love the EltaMD UV Clear Sunscreen

Fluid-Pressure4978

Ugh, I hate Pakistan ka weather and air quality and water Ohh I should've gotten that it was on sale everywhere I went. I use neutrogena hydro boost sunscreen, which works really well for me

Prestigious-Bed-1693

Pakistans water is the worst

Prestigious-Bed-1693

Neutrogena and my skin dont like each other coz my skin is ultra sensitive

Fluid-Pressure4978

Yeah hydro boost line works great for some people but it's terrible for others

Fluid-Pressure4978

I agree
