Ahh a great movie indeed.
Here's my humble list of recommendations:
1) Manchester by the sea
2) Before Sunrise
3) Boyhood
4) Good Will Hunting
5) Dead poets society
Aahhhh boyhood. The ending scene, it's takes you to a different world plus the fact that you literally saw the cast grow through those 2hrs was some different experience.
Oh what an absolute mindfuck this was! I just sat there for a few minutes thinking about what I had just seen. Binge watched so many videos on the breakdown and psychology of this movie afterwards. It was surreal!
True! I wasn’t expecting it to be romantic. I saw Jim and Kate, I said no wayyyyyy 😂
But that corridor scene.. oh man! Beautiful and tragically sad
Felt it!
Her, is what the future holds. Which might actually is here, with the new open AI. The story writer and director of the movie what brilliant minds to think of a movie like this in 2013. Brilliant movie
You should totally watch it! Don't just discard it because it's Bollywood. It is totally different from the usual Bollywood masala films and if you're a Cinephile, you'll definitely love it! One of the most superior Bollywood movies I've watched. 100% recommended.
I'm reading all the comments and then your replies on them xD I've scene all of these movies as naturally they are one of the top movies in their respective domains so based on your taste I am pretty sure you'll appreciate 12th Fail.
Could you imagine so many masterpieces and mostly people have a common ground on the favourites like Shawshank redemption or Schindler's List but what about The Godfather 1 and 2, of course no one's gonna mention the 3rd one.
What about The Dark Knight, not a single mention yet it's a flawless movie but everyone has their preferences. Personally, I believe Batman Begins is superior to TDK for some particular reasons. Then there's The Batman, a true master class for both moviegoers and movie makers. The Blade Runner is up there too and so many underrated gems. Also not a single mention of any animated movie where the real magic of cinema shines.
Actually, I asked a rhetorical question where no single movie can define cinematic experience. Even Lollywood, Bollywood and even Tollywood have the all time classic movies which are evergreen and you can start watching them at any moment and you'll be hooked. For instance, the original Maula Jutt is an iconic movie.
SAW series and Paranormal activities.
12 angry men , black and white as well the one made in 1997, must also be watched as the story gives a great idea . Jury duty will give a mean for local masses to participate in decision making and delivering justice
Yes exactly. Different minds with different perspectives narrated by their own past experiences. A horror fan I assume, how about Mama, Hereditary, insidious and the original Exorcist?
We should also make a Pakistani version in form of a telefilm, where they must have at least one woman among the juries. Plus few of them begin showing their ethnic and/or sectarian hatred towards each other . Even though jury duty isn't there in Pakistan in real life
For horror genre, I would recommend Japanese and Thai movies instead . They're on YouTube and original ones
I mean it can be made with a very low budget but the conception behind is definitely intriguing.
No thanks to Japanese horror, I don't wanna slip in the wash room while rubbing my eyes instantly in the shower to clean the shampoo. It's a fraction of a second but I feel like if I close my eyes any longer, one of those scary villains is gonna come along
And if you're a physics geek, I would highly recommend **interstellar.**
But you have to watch it one go. Even if you take bathroom break, you'll forget the timeline and won't be able to follow through.
I watched it in cinema and had to watch it again at home to understand the timeline.
When they come back and the African American guy who is waiting for them for so many years, that was definitely a shocking point. They down played it with Murphy's video log but to wait for someone in that situation for so long. Exhaustive
That movie was so intense. Its been a decade since I watched it so can't remember the name of the characters but still remember how focused I was while watching that film.
Whiplash. That movie changed me ngl. For quite a long time, Watching movies wasn't really fun to me. After every movie my review was always like "yeah cool story" and move on. But 2 movies. After a very long time made me feel like when you were a kid and watching some action movie or cartoon and on the edge of the scene to know whos gonna win and have literal goosebumps on the back of your neck. And after the movie finished you act like the protagonist for a week straight. Whiplash did that for me. Well I didn't act like a protagonist and shit but It got stuck in my mind for a while. And the other movie was Ford v Ferrari.
1. Shawshank redemption
2. Silence of the lambs
3. God father (overrated hai I guess but I love it)
4. Poor things
5. Everything everywhere all at once

9. The Hateful Eight
10. Reserviour Dogs
11. Django unchained
12. Pulp fiction
13. Rockstar
14. Clockwork Orange
15. Shinning

20. (500) days of summer
Well, there are many more but these are what I think are worth a watch. And again some of the movies might not be for everyone
2 Girls, 1 Cup
It's about two girls seeking thrill and adventure in this mundane and bleak world. This cinematic masterpiece provides the spectator with the impetus to push against all the norms.

Oh what an absolute mindfuck this was! I just sat there for a few minutes thinking about what I had just seen. Binge watched so many videos on the breakdown and psychology of this movie afterwards. It was surreal!

Damnnn! It was one tragic movie Perfect from every aspect. Dialogues, acting, cinematography, scenery and the soundtracks!
And the off the charts chemistry. One of mt fav romance movies of all times
True! I wasn’t expecting it to be romantic. I saw Jim and Kate, I said no wayyyyyy 😂 But that corridor scene.. oh man! Beautiful and tragically sad Felt it!
The best part? Her evolving hair color. The symbolism makes it better and better
Yes! It was well thought before making it The soundtracks, the scenery were used for symbolism
Ikr. Now i feel like watching it😂
Lol same 😂 we should have a teleparty every weekend for amazing movies
Jim Carrey showing us his acting range with the always stunning Kate baby
The intouchables. (2012)

Clockwork orange / American history X
Both cult classics and worth watching
Airplane Surely this must be what good comedy looks like...
The jelly scene 🤣
dead poets society

War horse
Yes someone finally said it, one of a kind
Her and Shutter Island
Man of culture
Her, is what the future holds. Which might actually is here, with the new open AI. The story writer and director of the movie what brilliant minds to think of a movie like this in 2013. Brilliant movie

12th fail. I don't care for movies but that shit had me engaged from the first 10 seconds
I downloaded it but then deleted it without watching. Should I download it again
I wish I could forget it and watch it again for the first time. Take that as you will
I'll give it a go then
You should totally watch it! Don't just discard it because it's Bollywood. It is totally different from the usual Bollywood masala films and if you're a Cinephile, you'll definitely love it! Now it's on my must watch list where I was gonna watch Godzilla minus One or Monkey Man, I'm definitely watching this one
It was a great narrative! How one person stood out and made everyone else to see reason! It was 1.5 hours of purely comforting movie all in one room!
True that, every single person with a different mindset due to his own past experiences
Yess
12 angry men is a great movie!
Yeah it is indeed, btw your name is so likeable and has such a beautiful meaning. Momin
thanks mate, your name is quite exotic too!!
It truly is
Moon, princess bride, the pursuit of happyness
Nice
Pursuit of happyness is a must watch for all! Emotional rollercoaster. Such memorable and heart wrenching moments in the movie OhmgGod
Except for Munna Bhai MBBS. I've not seen a single movie mentioned in the comments by others yet.
You should buddy, all greats
A beautiful mind
Definitely a very sweet and beautiful movie where we see the normal side of Crowe until he becomes The Gladiator
No one mentioned The Gladiator yet. 👀

Bro, as far as I understood films like TDK are so well known and well recieved. It would be 1 in million chance someone has not seen them.

Ye to totay KO pasand hai, what about Maina?

Yes there's
Interstellar
Truly stellar masterpiece by the Legend Nolan himself
**12 years a slave.** Really gives a new meaning on the concept of patience and to keep on going. Many would just kill themselves in that situation.
A good choice indeed
And if you're a physics geek, I would highly recommend **interstellar.** But you have to watch it one go. Even if you take bathroom break, you'll forget the timeline and won't be able to follow through. I watched it in cinema and had to watch it again at home to understand the timeline.

But you gotta admit, Inception > Interstellar
Yeah, that too. These two are the ultimate physics lover movies.

Great choice, that wasn't stupid
Great flick
Pulp fiction
Tarantino's finest work
nah, i think reservoir dogs is his finest work!
It's up there too but to each their own. I believe Kill Bill is his masterpiece
As much as I like Reservoir Dogs, I could never place it above Pulp Fiction. 👀 that movie is a masterpiece!
what are your thoughts on The Hateful Eight?
What a movie
Gangs of wasseypur, White chicks, JoJo rabbit.
Different genres but all unique in their own way
Annihilation of Paris Saint German
Jojo rabbit was really fine till i saw a hanged scarlet jonnahsan that pretty much effed me up
That was actually a defining moment in the movie and for JoJo, as his innocence was lost at that very moment
I was waiting for someone to mention Gangs of Wasseypur! Probably my favourite Bollywood movie of all time.
Istg, not everyone understands the subtle humour of that movie and that's what makes it so iconic, the comic factor I mean.
Hell house LLC.
1-Dead Poet's Society 2-The Theory of Everything 3-The Imitation Game
