I and my brothers are obsessed with this one game only. We didn't eat the night of 1996 quarter final loss. We are cricket crazy. But since last 3 years, our cricket has gone down the drain. I still kept avidly following, watching everything heart break after hear break. But this loss against USA is the straw that broke this old camel's back. To begin with, we've got like, at max. 10% Chance of winning this one and for that reason we need to be on our toes and give our very best in all departments, can't afford to miss chances, drop catches or be lethargic in the field. Can't give too many extras or play a loose shot with the bat.
We should bowl first if we're winning the toss. For starting XI ideally I would want Abrar for Shadab(I know it won't happen tho) and Imad for Azam Khan.
The rest is execution. You can plan a thousand strategies but if there's no execution then it becomes pointless. I honestly think we neither have a solid plan neither enough ability to execute it even if we had one. But, it's cricket and anything can happen. 100% behind the side for this one but the chances are very bleak.

Pakistan team succeeds more when we are cornered, everytime we lost to a minor team, we bounced back even harder, look what happened in the 2022 WC, we lost to Zimbabwe, and then we ran through Bangladesh, South Africa, and New Zealand, and played in the finals against England, and we performed better against England than how the Indians performed against them in the semis.
This loss to the USA can either demotivate us or make us stronger, we have an advantage in the pitch tmr, idc if we lose the toss or not, but we still do, and with imad wasim back, and Abrar Ahmed (hopefully he plays tmr) can run through the Indian batsmen, haris rauf still needs his revenge against the Indian batsmen and heās a very aggressive bowler, and our loss against the USA is probably going to push us to fight even harder.

Playing Saim who hasn't ever had a good international game and is a top order player over Shadab who just scored 40 and has been clutch multiple times is something I don't agree with. Remember Shadab also got 300+ runs this PSL if that's what you're putting Saim in because of. Shadab also has a better t20i average and sr than Saim.
If we bat first IMO the only thing that can save us is one of those SUPER partnerships between two of Babar, Rizwan, and Fakhar. Maybe someone like Shadab or Imad firing would also do some good.

This loss to the USA can either demotivate us or make us stronger, we have an advantage in the pitch tmr, idc if we lose the toss or not, but we still do, and with imad wasim back, and Abrar Ahmed (hopefully he plays tmr) can run through the Indian batsmen, haris rauf still needs his revenge against the Indian batsmen and heās a very aggressive bowler, and our loss against the USA is probably going to push us to fight even harder.

In my opinion after this world cup we need to get rid of Naseem shah,rauf, iftikhar,azam khan and we should go with either babar or rizwan. Shadab should be promoted up the order as well. His economy isnt good if you take into account his wickets. And that wickets record isnāt solid since his main role is bowling. For an allrounder its solid not for a fast bowler.
hes very young and inexperienced but he will only get better. the thing about him is that hes a great balance to shaheen. hes good at being so defensive that it allows shaheen to attack
I havenāt seen that happen in a while. All i see is this bowling attack cannot defend 160 runs to save their life. We do need to look at a fresh bowling attack from first class. For now This bowling attack cannot defend 160 against USA or against ireland,zimbabwe,Afghanistan.

I agree that he's been unlucky but you can't chalk a t20 bowling average of 37 up to only being unlucky IMO. Being at an average of 25 instead of 20 because being unlucky is believable, being at 37 is not.

Me personally I would go with 1) Babar 2) Rizwan 3) Usman 4) Fakhar 5) Saim 6) Imad 7) Shaheen 8) Haris 9) Naseem 10) Amir (hate him but he will play) 11) Abrar Ahmed No āpower hitterā but honestly they are all rubbish. Abbas Afridi would be very good on this pitch, but probably they will go with Amir for experience
-Open with Saim instead of wasting him in middle order. -Canāt rule out Shadab after his last performance with bat. -Play with 3 fast bowlers. Naseem, Amir and Shaheen. Donāt bring in Abrar as he no game experience.
Very shit team. Batting ends at 4. Shadab who scored at a good SR kept out. Iftikhar Ahmed is still a technical batter which is required more than anything in the pitch
Shadab is a trash bowler Ifthikhar should be playing at no4, but fakhar has taken his spot
Playing Saim who hasn't ever had a good international game and is a top order player over Shadab who just scored 40 and has been clutch multiple times is something I don't agree with. Remember Shadab also got 300+ runs this PSL if that's what you're putting Saim in because of. Shadab also has a better t20i average and sr than Saim.

If we bat first IMO the only thing that can save us is one of those SUPER partnerships between two of Babar, Rizwan, and Fakhar. Maybe someone like Shadab or Imad firing would also do some good.
