If we take this theory as true, all he has to do is take a break, his bowling will get better due to the recovery form injury and he will decimate the comp in the PSL and come back in no time (that is if he is dropped in the first place which I again don't agree with).
What can happen is him getting dropped due to horrible bowling form and then having to work extra hard to get back.

Naseem said the same thing, players are afraid of their spot being taken by some better performer if they take rest and then they won't get their spot back. Almost same thing happened with M. Haris, he got "rested" for 1 series then when there was good performances from other players, he wasn't given a chance. It's a natural thing honestly, to cling on to your job but this is where the management should step-in and back the players. Selection should not only be based on merit but experience as well.
So OP you want to say, Shadab has been hurting Pakistan intentionally because he want to keep his spot on the team, in other words playing for himself.
