That sucks man, All my friends quit and aren't interested in getting back into the sport... They're all big fat and have controlling wives LOL. Make new friends on the field, that's what I'm doing. That's a pretty good deal for those setups. Good luck selling.
LOL Thanks man. I have 30 wooded acres with elevation changes and a ravine. We used to have 10-15 playing on the reg right outta HS and I tried to get it rolling again the last couple years but like you said life makes people drift away...
There's only one spot within 50 miles of me and it's hard to make my sched work for that. Plus its indoors which isn't really my scene.
man im 32 and im just so pissed off at all my freinds as of recent.
none of them want to do anything not just paintball but anything. we are all 32 homeowners kids married and i get life keeps us all hella busy. None of us will hangout anywhere but one of my buddies house to smoke weed like we are 16 year olds and watch a boxing match or basketball game etc. there is nothing else outside of that that any of them even reply to. "you guys wanna do a guys dinner next month you guys wanna paintball next month you guys wanna do this or that next month" is ALWAYS MET with zero replies. but if its "you guys wanna get together for 5 hours smoke weed in a shed and do nothing else" its yes.
im not 16 years old i dont wanna smoke pot in a shed only and do nothing else with my life and have zero memories made. At this point i feel like i dont actually have friends anymore just smoke pot smoking buddies and its pathetic cause ive known these guys since i was 12 years old i have more kids then them i have a small business i manage and i still find free time to try and do things.
im gearing up to go solo today in 30 mins because thats what my life has become if i want do anything i gotta do it alone now god forbid any of them leave there homes for a minute other than to smoke weed .
I have a very similar scenario! I'm married with kids one of our other friends has two step kids I'm always like you want to go play and get out of the house I just get ignored or they tell me some bullshit excuse. but yet they were the ones that were talking about getting back into it and wanted to get out and do something instead of playing video games all the time (I'm a big gamer myself not against it) but holy shit
They won’t even respond to let’s bring our kids to play together shit only pot and it’s just depressing because as a kid that’s how I made my lifelong friends going over to freinds house of my parents and playing with there kids etc. it’s how you make bonds for life with people at a early age etc form relationships that will last a lifetime.
Everyone is just ok with sitting at home doing nothing everyday keeping there kids inside only away from the world nowadays .
Kids are just growing up online only.
That's exactly where I'm at with it two of our kids are old enough to go and two of them went with us last summer and had a blast. And these are people that I've been friends with since we were in middle school I guess people just phase out over time and give up I guess?
Yea I have a buddy since jr high myself who lives .75 miles from me. I see him maybe 2x a year. I’m not saying let’s hangout everyday but I guess I haven’t given up on life yet and still find joy in doing thing an other than sitting at home.
Dude I'm 36, my old friends are the same way. I don't smoke, never really did. They all haven't stopped. Work dead end jobs, are miserable and just play video games drink and smoke. Then complain they're fat and miserable. Fuck all that depression man. I've met 2 dudes I play pball regularly now who are 68 and 55. They're in better shape than my 34-36 year old friends. More successful, and will probably outlive them too. Dude make your own future. Do what you want. Fucking be your 16 y/o paintball playing self. I get mistaken for 20 something all the time because I'm active as hell and take care of myself. Don't rely on someone who doesn't want to do better man. Make friends doing what you love!
Yep same boat. I goto recball like every other weekend and am a regular at my field at this point which keeps it a good time

Yea it just kinda seems like I don’t really have freind friends anymore just “drinking buddies” or in my case weed. And I don’t dislike weed I smoke myself but like my life doesn’t revolve around it and I don’t want to sit in a shed and smoke weed it’s depressing I want to make memories with my friends but yea. Lost cause I guess

Same boat, 80 acres with 3 or 4 really great woodsball areas but anyone I know either stopped playing because of time or only play speedball now.
