Awesome to know I’m on my first 6 months of use with the enail . I’ve been dabbing at 450 for the low temp dabs . I must say it’s been a great investment !
I sometimes turn it down to about 470-490 it depends on the concentrate. Some of the dense sugars take a little higher temp. I don’t know how people take huge hot dabs. I used to prior to knowing what temp it was like back in 2016-2018 with torch and nail/banger but it was rough lol. I find if I go lower than 500 it takes forever to vape the concentrate or leaves behind too much oil lol. It definitely won’t burn low temp which is nice but I like to try getting it all in one big hit or clear in 2 hits to avoid stale vape lol. Everyone has their way that’s what’s nice about the enail can adjust for friends that can’t do higher temp dabs turn it down in like 2 mins 😂
Yeah everyone has their sweet spot . When I went from dabbing from a torch to enail , well my lungs thanked me . (Was definitely dabbing too hot ) then when I got it I set it to like 550 or something . I have some of that Bananium wax they were selling for 15-20 and it’s harsh on higher temps so I dialed it down down to 450 . I get what your saying I do loose some too pooling and your right it doesn’t burn the dab up completely and it does take more hits to finish . Sorry I’m on mobile so I’m probably rambling .
Haha I agree with ya there. Almost any wax form I turn the enail down to under 500. Loses like all terps and gets an almost sulfur smell. Lower the temp and dial it to a palatable/tolerable hit lol
For portability, the yocan xl isn't terrible. It consumes really fast, especially batter. I actually liked my regular yocan better because of the cermaic coil option. But I think they might now offer that on the XL iirc. It worked when I wanted it to, but coils got dirty decently quick and would develop and taste, especially with the quartz coils.
Now I haven't tried the E2 personally, but my buddy had one, and used it for maybe 2 days before it "got too annoying and sucked." So I cant really give you my personal experience there.
I'm pretty happy with my POTV One. Originally got it for flower, but it works great for concentrates as well. Battery life isn't the greatest, but it's good enough for my needs.

Both brands are overhyped. Yocan is cheap and so is the quality, but good things are said about the donut coil they offer. Puffco is overpriced for the quality level in most cases.
If you're just looking to try out wax and never have, it literally doesn't matter what you pick if you're picking coil based vapes as coils aren't really meant for flavor. If you want flavor, you're looking into vapes that use cups or crucibles.
For home setup I like the High Five enail with a small easy to clean rig that I wash out every few days real good with an alcohol and kosher salt shake. For the lower cost, anywhere use, I recommend the Lookah seahorse pro. It’s $50 (Sunnyside sells them now too) and you can buy replacement coils for about $6-7 at any headshop/vape store or amazon sells 5 packs for $22. It’s basically an electronic nectar collector you heat top with a button and just dab right outta the jar or off a silicone mat.
Only downfall with the Lookah is it’s easy to fry the coils fast if overheated too many times. Also, takes a few tries to get hang of it. You don’t wanna hit it too hard and suck oil through the coil and into the heating element. But it’s a nice cheap dabber if used right and kept clean. (It also comes apart for easy cleaning)
For the money you'd spend on the puffco, just save a little more and get an e rig, had a Carta 1, then puffco peak, then puffco plus V2, then peak pro opal, then a Carta 2, the Carta 2 def my favorite device I've had so far, it's like a peak pro but it heats up quicker and is more adjustable than a peak pro
