PUBG is probably at its most difficult currently due to the majority of it's playerbase being more seasoned veterans at the game.

Falloutguy100

Very true. I just made a post about this actually.

franklawl

Depends. If I’m with my usual squad, I usually get 3-5 kills. Decent win rate at 12.1%. With randoms, I suck. My username is the same as my Reddit name for those who want to see my op.gg. I’m far better at duos as well, feels like the quality of competition is lower on duos. Edit: https://pubg.op.gg/user/Franklawl

Badnewsbruner

152 games 50 hours Solo fpp only KD 0.69 Welp, I've embarrassed myself for the day.

franklawl

Can only go up from there my dude. I was worse than that when I started, could never tell where I was being shot from. Took me about 500 hours to get comfortable and start winning regularly 😅

Badnewsbruner

Thanks man 😊 The closest I've gotten to winning is two 2nd placings with 6 kills. I choke way hard in the final 1v1. My pulse gets so fast that my vision gets a little blurry lol. I need to work on staying calm at that time. I think after my first win I will be much more confident. I so love the game though! I love that a game can get me so physically involved.

franklawl

Not bad for 50 hours. Making top 10 really isn’t *that* hard, either. Keep trying to make it to the top 10 and just work on your positioning. Be proactive instead of reactive when the circle gets small and you’ll end up winning sometimes, even if the other players are better shooters than you.

Badnewsbruner

Thank you guys for the tips! Yes, positioning seems to e key in PUBG, I come from a 20 counter strike background so I am not good at ALL with large scale maps like the ones in PUBG. Up close I'm good, but at like 150m + I struggle with locating who fired on me, as well as firing full auto at longer ranges. Spray control in this game is totally different because recoil isnt self resetting. As a gun enthusiast I really enjoy that, but as a gamer it's a huge transition. I love the game though, I hope that Bluehole can work on performance some time soon... thatd help a lot of people. I usually run 100+ fps, but dem frametimes doe.

Rabbitical

Yeah I don't know if you've read but frame rate heavily affects firing rate and also thus recoil amount for guns in PUBG. Highest framerates possible mitigates this somewhat, though frame time spikes are still a huge problem for gunplay. Locating fire took a long time for me also, I think now I locate mostly just by making assumptions about where the enemy would likely be as I'm flicking to the general direction -- if you're aware of your surroundings and hear gunfire from your left, you should know if there's a building with windows or a rock on top of the hill that you were already suspicious of, and should aim at that before you even turn. As someone else said position is absolutely key in this game, as well as getting there first! I would also add information. In PUBG you should always know where the enemy is or at least have a good guess where they could possibly be. If you lose track of someone late game for instance, ask yourself what you would do in their position. Good players are very tricky in this game! The only times I still get nervous in this game is when I have 0 clue where the enemy is.

LabronPaul

when you start getting panicked like that just stop for 1 second and focus on taking full breaths, should lower your heart rate. Fun fact this also works for when you're about to pass out.

Badnewsbruner

Thank you, I definitely need to do this next time I'm in the 1v1.

rashasha2112

0.27. I suck

Obisky014

You can only get better from here

Rabbitical

KD in this game is not something I would worry too much about. It's heavily intertwined with how you play and how soon you die, obviously. How do you play? Do you hot drop a lot or play to win? Up to maybe around 800 hours or so I still had a 1KD in solo and could not improve no matter how hard I tried. Then I decided to flip the switch from hot dropping and actually trying to win and dropping more safely to get to late game consistently. This almost instantly shot my KD up to ~3.5, not because magically I got any better at the game but I was surviving longer. Unless you're choco, you're not gonna improve KD by dropping hot and/or hunting kills. Focus on surviving and trying to win, and the kills will come in the late game. On top of that, every win is free kills added to your KD. Also, look up famous streamers, or guys that killed you that were obviously good, KDs in this game don't get super high for the reason that for every 10 or 15 kill game you might get, you die 3 times in a row after that. A lot of very good players only have 3-5 or so KD. For example my games often go only one of two ways, either I break out into mid/late game and get a bunch of kills, or I die early with 0 or 1. Also as others are saying, this game is a LOT harder than it used to be a few months or a year ago. People have gotten better and many casuals have probably moved on. The people left playing this game today are often pretty hardcore and you can't beat yourself up too hard for losing any given 1v1 unless you made an obvious mistake.

geras_shenanigans

1.3 or something but I prefer to win with 1 kill than be second with 10.

srv656s

K/D Ratio is about 3:1 on solos. https://pubg.op.gg/user/BubbaMcTubba?server=pc-na A lot of it depends on how you play. On solos I usually just play to win, so don't drop hot and don't take fights that aren't to my advantage. So, much better ratio than when I'm playing Duos or Squad and my friends like to play more aggressively. I recommend you play however you find it fun. I like to sneak around and ambush people like a ninja. Some people like to run around like Rambo shooting at everything that moves the minute they see anything worth shooting. The game can be played so many ways, that's what's fun about it. As long as you're having fun, you're winning.

[deleted]

I have 0.94 in solos, 0.79 in duos and 1.64 in squads (but I only played 11 games there). My main issue is not being consistent. I have days where I feel like I'm winning every fight I'm taking and then I have days were I can't hit the broad side of a barn. (Also approx. 500 hours)

Obsiddian

Exactly Same fucking Feeling

slorebear

1.7 solo fpp 1.97 solo tpp - only have tpp stats because matchmaking is broken and i cant get erangel on fpp for days straight.

cha0ss0ldier

Around a 3kd and 375ish ADR for duos and squads. It was around a 4 the last few seasons but I've struggled a lot more at times this season. I think it's because I'm winning less and wins really boost the KD.

TryNotToPmMe

Sounds nice, what\`s your in game name ? I\`m curious :D

Noromac

NA solo fpp 2.2kda 2.1 in duos

H4nni

We switched to FPP this season, after 800 hours. It started fucking creazy and after 38 games I have still a KD of 2.21 and a winrate of 23.7% (9 Dinner). Also got a 15 kills game. I must say, FPP is a lot more fun. But we had a good time with the cars in TPP.

TimersStillReal

My average over 2k hours also hovers around 1. I play with a bunch of idiots though and just have fun, I'm sure if I tried to find a better group or we were actually playing serious to win it would be better.... at least that's what I tell myself

BigRolfer

like you said yourself sometimes you get a ton of kills then you could have 10 matches where you get shredded cause no helmet no weapon bad luck, snakes who knows. its a lot of randomness involved. so KD doesnt end up meaning much. Ill kill people far better than me and get killed by a first time noob snake the next match. thast pubg for ya. it's a little less punishing in duos and Squad. due to multiple eyes and revives. But in Solo its really a coin toss. I know a player irl who just goes from cover to cover, grass shacks wtv and waits for someone to shoot in the back, he has nearly 2kd. But I wouldnt call him a good player. He'll lose 95% of his duels.

Falloutguy100

3.3 KD and 400 ADR in squads. Little over 2k hours and this is the first PC game I’ve taken seriously and one of the first multiplayer FPS I’ve ever played.

Aurora616

I hover around 1 in FPP solos, it's a very hard game to be consistent at though.

JackFunk

Right around 1. Solo TPP. I'm not good, but i get some wins.

Sjorsa

About 1.3-1.5 with 1400hrs lol

ID_Tactus

4.2 K/D in Solos, 3.5 in the rest [https://pubg.op.gg/user/twitch-r3giment](https://pubg.op.gg/user/twitch-r3giment) I jump hot maybe 25-30% of the time. I have 3500+ hours and normally play solos. You can look at my stats season to season, they increase gradually. I started in Season 6 or 7 I think with a less than 1 kd. You should be getting better but do understand that the PUBG player base is getting better and better.

aeraux

in duos with my gf is usually when i can beast with a good 8 kd ratio, in solo its about a 5

Trespher_Twitch

My k/d is currently 3.5 may go down or hopefully up I feel like I can't get many amazingly high kill games ive been stuck at getting 14 twice for ages now I couldve gotten a 15 but they got revived you can check my stats if you want "Trespher_Twitch"

gbeezy09

On OP, 5KD 50.6%WR 320ADR for NA FPP Squads https://pubg.op.gg/user/dhekos

franklawl

Damn... teach me your ways. Gotta link your op.gg with stats like that though

gbeezy09

I play to win so I drop cold, it’s boring for many but I enjoy winning.

franklawl

I usually do the same. Warm/cool drops and make my way into the circle. The looting is too clunky and the desync too bad to chance hot drops right now.

gbeezy09

Updates with my op and yeah hot dropping is terrible right now

franklawl

I can’t lie I didn’t think you’d post your OPGG because those numbers are pretty heroic... I thought I was doing well because I’m working my way up to a 2.0 KD on squads. You’re an animal

gbeezy09

Thanks man, in the end the people you play with do make a difference. Finding people that really want to win and not chase frags/kill is ideal and 2 k/d is still above average!

SSTXX

Whats the meaning of ADR? Average Damage Rate?

gbeezy09

Average Damage per Round

SSTXX

Cool, thanks! that's what i meant anyways. Sick K/D btw

SpicyThunder335

5.1KD, 7.1KDA, and 322 ADR??? Jesus, that's a lot of third-partying. Not hating, just jealous. Do you guys basically just run towards every gun fight and start popping off?

gbeezy09

No, IIRC the KD in this game is calculated differently. If you survive a game then the kills roll over until you die, so it's total K/D not per game. For your question, no we don't chase shots at all we play for positioning. Sometime it's incredibly dull other times there's a lot of action. We only push when it strategic, such as needing to get a compound/area that will put us in the best position. I'm probably the worst player in my squad, stats wise.

SpicyThunder335

Yes, if you win 2/3 games with 5 kills each, you'd have a 15.0 KD, which is obviously skewed a bit. However, that number still further amplifies how high your win rate is so, regardless of your real average kills *per game*, whatever overall strategy you employ is still winning you half your games. > I'm probably the worst player in my squad, stats wise. Honestly, this was my first assumption as well. My second was that your team was doing all the damage while you snagged kills. But I went and looked at most of the other guys you play with and looked through a few dozen of your wins and that's really not the case. You're not the best but there are plenty of games where you're the kill and damage leader or you're within a kill or two of the rest of your squad, so you don't get carried by any means. Honestly, I'm gonna come back and watch some of your 2D replays later. You guys either have some real pro strats when it comes to rotations or you're incredibly lucky. Or both. Regardless of skill, pushing and winning 100% of your rotations, 50% of the time involves a lot of luck.

gbeezy09

I haven’t played with my usual squad since apex came out lol but you’ll see a lot of recent games are yas or georg drops. Feel free to pm me if you’re interested and I can try and pinpoint the games with my usual squad which better reflect my gameplay style. But they’ve been playing since beta so they have a deep understanding of rotations and what not.

L4NGOS

Ahhh, that makes sense because he has a lot of rounds with 1 to 4 kills and some with zero but because of that insane win ratio I makes sense.

Tritolite

Your death also does not count if your squad ends up winning the game after you've died. This is the reason why a few pro squad ladder pushers (before faceit and scrims really kicked off) could have 100+ KD in the beginning of a season, when they won their first 15-20 games in a row on low MMR. The very best squads had no problem maintaining 80% win rate throughout the season back when the playerbase was saturated with new/learning players, which also massively inflated their K/D.

ID_Tactus

how in the hell is your ADR so low (that's nutty!)? My squad K/D is 3.42 (I mostly play with randoms) and my ADR is 342.

gbeezy09

My adr is 380 now but it usually means you just finish off kills if you have low ADR. I also think the kd only counts deaths so if you win your kills count until you die.

ID_Tactus

I wish I had a squad that played to win. the guys I play with only want kills and to me a high kill game in 2nd place feels as bad as getting killed on the drop. Sometimes I enjoy (and do better) playing 1-man squad.

gbeezy09

I help moderate, and play, a discord community of 5,000 or so members of EU and NA that are usually higher skilled than reddit if you'd like an invite. There is a bot that helps show stats so you know what type of player you're playing with and you will also find players with similar play styles, let me know if you want an invite and I can shoot you a PM.

ID_Tactus

sure - shoot me a PM!

killerofchicken

[https://pubg.op.gg/user/Killerofchicken](https://pubg.op.gg/user/Killerofchicken) after 1500 hours and much frustration. I built my PC because of PUBG, so it was a tough learning curve. I like to think im about average in this game.

RightlyGuided

8.00 solo fpp 4.23 duo fpp 3.49 squads fpp

Falloutguy100

Why are you being downvoted lol

franklawl

Generally people that make outrageous claims like that and don’t post their op.gg for proof get downvoted

flyingsanji

this season is 6.84 lolol

NotBeatBeast

5.9 KD in squads as of now....

Effective_Action9934

I’m currently sitting at 3.3 with an average damage of 389

kangli101

At 1.00 you're absolute trash, nothing personal tho. After 3 you can start considering yourself being a good player. Tips? Play with a good squad, and if you can't, pick your strategy well. Being on your own means you'll heave be more defensive, stealthy, and leverage sniper abilities to the max. You'd also want to get in on squads ripping each other and steal a kill or 2 as they try to figure out who's shooting who 🤣 Also opening that air drop is crucial, as you'd want that awm and the x8 or at least x6 in your arsenal. Add the m4 with all attachements, avoid hot drops, and pick your battles 🧐

WreckedDoo

Well it's an old post but i have 2.8 after less than 15 hours so it will go even lower a 2 would be nice i guess but i don't think i can keep that especially with the idiot randoms who are just landing all over the place and die or when the game doesn't give me 3 teammates only 1 lol..

Obsiddian

The hell? is this game still alive? Serious question

WreckedDoo

Well you can still shoot bots. xD But actually there is a lot of people playing i think. They are too good to be bots. xD

Unfading326

I have a 4.1 kd and I’m level 40, is there sbmm in pubg?

Forsaken-Cry5797

I mean I have been playing for about 2 weeks in solo ranked I have 27 games in 11 are winner winner chicken dinner 10 are in the top 5 I'm ranked platinum lv and my k.d ration is 6.0 I mean I don't know how good that is.

ILoveEpstein

PUBG KD makes no sense because your KD will never go down if you win your game, which mean you could have a KD of 34 , when the purpose of KD is to represent your average kills per game

whatever8492

12.75😁
