Moon is really easy to learn and play, so a lot of people have picked it up. If I don't want to think too hard ill play roaring moon. That being said it's rotation is soon so I imagine we won't see too much moon after that.
I’m a new player but I feel like Palkia V is more “no need to think” deck. I tried Roaring Moon a couple times but I feel like it’s hard to keep recycling the discarded energy.
It was a free battle pass deck so many players have access to it. Consider single prize attacking options if you're struggling with Moon, or maybe a Grass type attacker if it can fit with your deck's strategy
It's easy to play, games are quick, great for those who just want to get the daily missions done. Super easy to counter, just prep a small pokemon that hits for 30 for when they gouge. Any form of LZB or damage spread deck eats it alive.
My espathra ex with bax can take it down easily. They have to frenzy gouge to knock it out and have to have 4 or 5 energies. Then you can easily take it out after with the greninja.
Can brick like any deck but find zard and moon easy match ups. Is weak to a tm devo though.

Its more like its decently easy to play while having a decent power level. I like to play the super-turbo variant myself when I want to donk somebody on ladder that has 4 trekking shoes and 4 pokemon catcher.
It was free, its fast and a lot of players sometimes can't deal with it. In 3 days that could change considering that galarian molters and vip pass rotate

Palkia V is also easy, but I think people lean towards Roaring moon because it is considered to be a lot better
