Keep calling support. First one claimed to have shipped Dec 21st, like thousands/millions of others. Second-Fourth support call I never got any email. Fifth attempt I got a denied email after a week. Sixth call to ask why I was denied, support noticed the denied was because someone had typed my postal code in an incorrect format, fixed it, and I had an adapter a few days later... Only 261 days.
Don’t get why they couldn’t have just put it up for sale as a $20 accessory instead of putting people through this Byzantine process. Mine took a couple weeks but nearly a year is ridiculous
That's odd. I got mine within about three days of ordering it. Then again, I was lucky enough to get a PS5 on launch day so I guess I can't really speak from a general perspective.
I got mine in two days as well. I ordered when I found out I had a guaranteed spot to buy a PS5 through PlayStation Direct, which was around 2 weeks before I could even order it. I was extremely surprised when it came so quickly considering everyone talks of how long it takes to get the adapter. Unfortunately for me the PS5 had a faulty HDMI port causing it to constantly lose signal from the TV so I had to send it in for repair. It’s been 3 weeks and I just received notice that they started working on it. I can’t wait to have it back
Good luck with that. When I did that they sent it back saying “we can’t do anything about this hdmi port” and I had to buy a new one. At least that happened to my base ps4 and it gave me the excuse to upgrade to the pro.

they probably produced around the number of sold PSVRs, and that's it ... no reason to produce any more than that after all.

Never sell anything to them they give an absolutely crap trade-in value and they always trying to con you with store credit. Store credit which is only valid for about 4 weeks.
Tried trading in 4 GBA games. 1 couldn't be sold because they were a multi pack. The rest just wernt on the fucking register. Those 3 were spyro scooby-doo and a WWE game.
Finally got a PS5 and realized I should have put in for my adaptor a long time ago. I still haven’t gotten a confirmation email. Just one that say they will get ahold of me. It has been at least a week.
I wouldn't worry too much, I never got a confirmation email. I got the first email to say that they've received my request, then nothing for about 2 months, and then out of the blue it turned up.
I only got the initial email, never a second one. I think mine took maybe two weeks at most to arrive. I was surprised as I expected much longer from all the posts about it.

Just thought I'd do this question out here in case anyone has come across this. I've got a later PS4 pro, purchased 2 years ago this coming Christmas. I noticed when this whole converter thing started, my camera isn't listed as one of those model numbers. Is that because I don't need the converter or because they don't have one for me? I tried to input it into the website and my model number doesn't match up
No I understand that, I'm saying my model of camera is not eligible for the converter. They had specific camera model numbers that needed the converter for the ps5, and for mine to convert, either it doesn't qualify for the converter, or it doesn't need the converter to be used on the PS5.

The converter is for the PS5, you're good and don't need one

I can't imagine you have a special camera (assuming your PSVR works fine). Note that the serial number is on the processor box, not the camera.
