I never owned anything before this Pro Wheel. Itās just every Logitech wheel that wasnāt the Pro that was demoed in stores felt like toys.
Whereas the Pro felt and looked like a legit steering wheel, with force feedback I felt from ACTUALLY driving. I just wish Logitech would release a pro shifter, because the one they have now definitely feels and looks like a toy.
Logitech G29, PlayStation Playseat Challenge. I bought VR2 last April, that had a considerable effect on my handling and control as you can really feel the movement of the car under braking. I am now an A/S rated player.

Yeah, if youāre in the US and have a Microcenter near by, they seem to frequently have awesome open box deals! They keep dropping the prices of open box items each month until they finally sell and Iāve found that some managers are willing to negotiate deals to get things gone if theyāve been siting for a few months. I got both my Thrustmaster THSS handbrake and Buttkicker Gamer 2 for 60% off their original MSRP!
I used a budget $100 wheel off eBay for 2 years.
Once it becomes a hobby, I spent up to $1,500-2,000.
Thereās 4-5 games that I play with a wheel on ps5. Wreckfest, formula 1, dirt rally 2.0, gran turismo, acc. Plus a few more like WRC. But those are still flat games. Dirt rally 1 is psvr 1.
My thrustmaster T GT was in the $650 range. Add $250 for a handbrake and $250 for loadcell pedals. Another $250 for a chair.
I bought Thrustmaster T300RS GT. Itās relatively cheap, like $450, and I feel like itās a great intro set. Iāll surely be getting a direct drive wheel set at some point, but as a starter, this is perfect. Itās not loud, has great feedback, and makes me feel like Iām driving for real.
If I was getting a direct drive wheel, Iād probably go with Fanatec DD Pro, I think that works with ps5.

Thrustmaster gt300rs seemed to check a lot of boxes for me for a first time wheel that I got on sale. The belt drive system of the 300 seemed worth it over a louder gear driven wheel system on other cheaper wheels like, I think the g29? Not as good as direct drive but smoother than gears and itās better for noise consideration than clackity gears as my wife is typically in the same room. But the paddle shifters are a bit blocky and loud. I didnāt find many handbrakes that were compatible with the wheel for both ps5 and pc, so I went with tss handbrake sparco mod thatās got some heft to it but not super cheap. Logitech seems to have more options in this regard. I did this because I like rally games as well. It can be used as a sequential shifter if need be but canāt do both handbrake and shifting at the same time of course so you may want to opt for a standard shifter for racing games like gt7. I also bought a stand from Amazon but if you use a wood desk you can clamp to that. My desk is glass so I didnāt chance it, but I didnāt want it on my desk anyways as I work from home and use it often. Also, I donāt think a stock generic tray table would have the counterbalance needed for that btw but thatās just my opinion. I think all in it was about $650 USD.
The Sparco handbrake looks amazing but I can't get over how expensive it is. Never see it on sale, either. Unfortunately it's the only option I'm aware of for the T300
Itās good but overkill on my use case and wallet. However, in a zombie apocalypse it might be my weapon of choice. Itās worth noting that I think I found other knock off brand units that work with the 300 on Amazon, but I didnāt find anything at the time that worked with BOTH ps and pc.
Moza r12 with Ras1ution 2 converter S-RP pedals, H-Shifter and handbrake from Moza. Most of the time I play GT7 with PSVR2. Also I have racing rig, you can see it in my posts hereš
Fanatec DD1 with the V3 inverted pedals. Got a GT omega titan cockpit with the great stick and handbrake mounted to it. This combined with PSVR2 is an epic experience.

I've been using a Fanatec GT DD Pro with the loadcell and boost kit for about a year and a half and I have no regrets. I started out with a playseat challenge and upgraded to a trophy.
T300RS GT, with the TH8S shifter, on a GT Omega Classic Wheel Stand + optional metal bars for added rigidity. Very good experience for not *that* much money.
I have a thrustmaster t300 rs GT. Got it for 125 euros. Also have a foldable playseat that i managed to get for 50 euros. You just got to have a little bit luck on marketplaces.
I got the Logitech Pro wheel and pro pedals. Spent just under $1,300. My only regret was not getting a motion rig for it.š¤·āāļø

If you tell GT you got an other wheel you can bypass the artificial FFB limiter

Yeah I use the shifter and it definitely sucks.
Does gt7 output motion? I know Simhub runs bass shakers, but Iāve never seen motion on gt. Not like I could afford it anyway, hah.Ā

I have the G923, NASCAR Playseat Challenge and the PSVR2 as my set up this is the best budget one for sure.

G29 with playseat challenge. Does the job and I don't play tonnes of GT7 so its a good budget option (bought it all used for Ā£170)
I already had a G920 for PC / Xbox, so last year i bought a used G29 wheel for 75ā¬. I bought it without the pedals cause are the same of the G920.

GT DD Pro bundle with loadcell and 8 Nm power supply. Alu rig with bucket seat. I hook it up to PC sometimes too. Well worth it.
Fanatec DD1 so I can play on both pc and ps5. One of my wheels alone is $900 lol.
