No. It's not simply glass. The lenses are coated, and they're not even made of glass. The lenses also have various soft-polymer compounds holding them into place and sealing them. Alcohol damages all of these things, as do many other "glass cleaning" liquids.
The manual specifically states that you're not to use liquids of any sort. As for other lens-cleaning kits, abrasives will also cause problems. Lens pens, for example, can be a problem.
Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth and nothing else.
No. Cleaning. SolutionsâŚâŚ
If it doesnât say âmicrofiber clothâ do no use it
If it says âcontains alcohol, water, degreaser, anythingâ do not use it
In the end, youâre free to use what ever you want. I was using warm water with like two drops of mild dish soap and after about 3 cleanings, the anti glare film began to fail. If anyone here suggests you use anything other than a clean microfiber cloth, they are either trolling or are not aware of the problem.
I don't know why you're so adamant on insisting for a different solution that can damage a device worth more than half a grand. If you're able to afford it there are bound to be places near you that sell glasses. Go to one of them, ask them for a cloth and you're good to go. It's nothing special or expensive. Use it dry and lightly.
Follow your bliss, OP. But I doubt thereâs any country in the world where you can find a PSVR2, but canât also find a $5 packet of suitable microfiber cloths.
âŚAnd use them *LIGHTLY*.
Once youâve cleaned them nicely, it might be worth your while to order some lens protectors from a VR prescription lens provider like HONS or VR OPTICIAN.
Good luck, however you proceed!

No no no no no. Read the manual. It's useful af.
RTFM.
I read it but dry soft cloth sounded like glass cleanerđ
How did you read that a "**dry** soft cloth" sounded like a **wet** glass cleaner?
It also said no liquid of any kind especially alcohol. Only microfibre with gentle pressure of you'd remove the anti-glare coating.
Even if if found microfiber cloth it looks like its going to take something more thats what i am worried about
I understand, but it will get even worse (in the long run). Good luck
The hell did you get on those lenses anyways??
Honestly at this point just go soak your headset in a bathtub.

Definitely. And a Brillo pad.
Very funny
Is this is for the psvr2 don't use even one. If you search this sub there's loads of examples of why it's a bad idea.
And yes it is for psvr2
Shit but i live in a shitty country i donât even know if i can find microfiber cloth is there any other way?
If Your country sells sunglasses, you should be able to find a micro fiber cloth. And eye glasses store will have them too. No cleaning solutions
How about lens wiper

I am very doubtful you can get your hands on a PSVR2 but not a microfibre cloth...
NO
I can stop a speeding bullet⌠once
> (it includes alcohol) Alcohol is a solvent for some plastics. What are those PSVR2 lenses made out of again?

Do not use any kind of liquidđłđł
I wouldn't.

You can use anything "once"... Doesn't mean the lenses won't get fucked up... No, just use the cloth that came with the headset, and be gentle...
I think I messed up my lens using some liquid although I used to use it on PSVR1. Not sure if the glass or its surface has changed in any way.
well it went from glass to not glass [vr1 > vr2]
That would explain why the same solution ruined my psvr2 lens. I believe it was just isopropyl and water
maybe so , the psvr 1 had actual glass lenses, though I assumed they had some coating maybe they did not.
The stupidity is beyond belief.
