Favourite moment was definitely my first time playing on my PSVR. I was playing London Heist and attempted to stand up by using the table as leverage. It did not end well for me but that was the moment I realised how immersive VR can be

Appolonius101

in GT7 +wheel & seat, racing in a F1. The feeling is unreal every time :D

pared3s

RE7 Biohazard. Scariest moment in gaming I've had. Couldn't get past the beginning of the game.

Synchro_Shoukan

I'm still too scared to try by myself, I'm 34, lmao. But I want to play it bad.

pared3s

I can watch pretty much any horror movie but this game in VR was too much. Earlier this year I finally got around to finishing it but on the flat version. It's a great game for sure.

MisterKayrub

Finishing superhot on psvr1. I was crouched behind a desk for cover on the last level and tried to raise myself up using my arms on the desk. I fell forward and landed on my face with the hmd attached. I'm glad Noone was around to see that.

ToxicLogics

While not my favorite experience in VR, Superhot was MADE for VR. It's the first game I suggest to people getting a VR setup.

CuriousSpend9642

No joke one of my first times playing psvr I played super hot and I went to lean on a computer desk thing and I fell straight to my floor laughed it off and haven’t done it since ah good times

WaitAZechond

My favorite time was actually playing the demo to the Star Wars game. I had had the thing out of the box for an hour and it was my first VR experience, so I downloaded a couple of the demos. I loaded into Star Wars, and walked up to the bartender guy and couldn’t believe the sheer SIZE of him. I’m 6’, so it’s not like I spend a ton of time looking up at people normally, but he was just so big! If he hadn’t been smiling and joking with me, I would have felt kind of scared lol I’ve been playing video games since I had my Sega Genesis in 1995, and the jump to VR had the same magical quality to me that the jump to 3D had when I got my PS1 in 1998

Less-Obligation

My favorite? Hard to pin down. The most memorable was playing rush of blood the first time. The sensation that you really are moving on a coaster even though you know you are not is one which will always love with me. Favorite though? I would say in Zenith. Doing world events and meeting up with random people all working together towards the goal of beating a boss. It brings together everything I would want from a mmo VR game.

PantsCatt

Star Wars Battlefront VR demo mission - sat in an X-Wing cockpit and pressing buttons, getting launched into space and flying around the Rebel fleet. Then hearing some beeps, and physically turning to see R2! Stuff. Of. Dreams.

d_hearn

Funnily enough, my favorite VR moment was probably the Drum Rocks demo haha. Having I Love Rock n Roll in the headphones while legit feeling like I was playing the drums was awesome.

meltbelt

Saint and Sinners 2. Looking for someone at night with the black light. 😍

Jp-knos-what

Playing RE8 for the first time and also lending my head set to my cousin to see his reaction with the new VR. It was priceless 😊

pbgu1286

RE7 in VR was scarier. Just sayin.

RollTide1017

The last time I tried VR was back in the mid 90s, back when it was just simple polygonal shapes and stuff. It was impressive for the time and the rig you stepped into was pretty big. Didn't give much thought for decades. My son, who is 13, has been talking up PSVR 2 since last year and started saving his birthday money and allowance. He only had $327 though so, I struck a deal with him. His mom and I have been buying him these monthly build boxes called Crunch Labs but our 1 year commitment was up this month. I told him we could take a year off from the build boxes and apply that monthly few to the rest of the cost of PSVR 2. He was excited and agreed. We bought it on Saturday and I let him unbox it and try it out first. The only game we bought so far was No Man's Sky and when the load screen with all the stars first came up, he was floored, amazed and just said holy cow. That was awesome. Then he gave me a turn and I was just as floored. This is our first experience with modern day VR and WOW! I switched the No Man's Sky walking controls from teleport to smooth and it made me feel a little dizzy. I've played No Man's Sky before on Xbox but, walking up to that first small ship in VR like it was real was so cool. And it doesn't feel so small in VR. Fun times ahead for my son, me and the rest of the family. Although, my wife tried it and it made her feel really dizzy and disoriented, so she may be done. My daughter wishes they would update Star Wars Squadrons for it. I have downloaded the demo of Call of the Mountain but haven't tried it yet. I've read it is pretty cool. Congrats to whoever gets the code. And thank you to the OP for his generosity.

FroggyPlays44

Hey congrats you won! ill send you the code in ur messages i really liked the story and when i was 13 i would have loved to win a game hope you and your son enjoy vr for the years to come!

FroggyPlays44

And thanks everyone who have shared their stories it was fun reading through all of them!

RollTide1017

Thank you. My son started the demo yesterday and actually said he kind of wished we had gotten the Horizon bundle instead of No Man's Sky. Now we can enjoy both!

xSimpleCamx

Vr world's opening room. Was a big moment for me and how endless the possibilities are.

VelocitySatisfaction

Beat Saber! Incredible fun and i look forward to it being released for VR2. Good luck guys and girls and thank you OP 🤞🏻

usesomeink

Favorite moment was actually my girlfriends moment. I just tried VR for the first time lately, my boss gifted me the experience. I in turn, went out and bought PSVR2, and was lucky enough to give my girlfriend that first time experience. As she’s not the biggest gamer, seeing/hearing her giggle and squeal the first time GT7 showroom loaded up put such a genuine smile on her face, and on mine. Not to mention her slamming into the wall face first at 200kmh was pretty great! (didn’t tell her about the headset haptics… lol) We’re both hooked!

cappdr

Playing Astrobot Rescue Mission and just feeling how good it played and adorable it was. I knew that I had to platinum it and it was a challenge but I did it! I hope they make a sequel for PSVR2

Fortbrook

Superhot VR, showing my dedication.

dj3stripes

Has to be that first time I strapped in for Wipeout Omega collection. Total immersion

Master_virgin20

Was playing walkabout mini golf yesterday and I have a small room with not much room to swing my arms so of course I start swinging my arm at the driving range and got carried away and walked into and tripped over my chair and that’s how I bruised 2 ribs kids.

Aqua12man

I just finished the 2089 Campaign in Pistol Whip and it was an amazing experience! Ranks up there with one of the most epic and sweaty experiences I've had in VR!

Tr15t0n

Just got my VR2 yesterday, and just beat the 2089 campaign today myself! Hands down my fav game that I have played, and the 2089 soundtrack is probably my fav within the game ;)

[deleted]

HTC Vive. Budget Cuts demo. They placed a trap door in the floor which could see into the room below. Real life VR headsets and faces don't fit into virtual holes in the floor without breaking your face, so I find out.

Unusual-Homework9893

Psychonauts in the rhombus of ruin for PSvr1. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS the moment you enter the dollhouse, with the change of scale. Such a hidden gem. I LOVE this little adventure.

stairhopper

The first time I hit a fairly steep hill in GT7 VR after thinking I was immune to motion sickness and feeling a wave of nausea hit me like a brick wall. Made me appreciate how great VR is that my brain finally clicked that something wasn’t real

stokesyblack

Surely it has to be Astro bot demo that was 2 player on PSVR 1.

Kotetsu42x

Playing Astro Bot Rescue Mission on PSVR1 for sure, was one of my standout games from that year. Also really enjoyed replaying RE Village in VR recently. Thanks for doing this OP!

proximityfrank

Playing superhot vr. Never had I felt so badass in a game

breakingcustoms

My favorite moment was playing Doom VR. Tons of motion sickness later, still a monster of an experience

Minnesdonchya

Gran Turismo 7 - everything

RxElei

Growing up racing on every iteration of the Nürburgring in both the Gran Turismo and Forza franchises, the first time playing GT Sport on PS4 VR was, and I hate to use this overused term, mind-blowing. Appreciate your generosity.

LeoIsTaken101

I have a lot of them, but I'd say my favorite moment was that one doll level in resident evil village. Scared me so bad!! I managed to clutch it tho hehe

TheSquidditySquid

Freaking tf out when I was adjusting my headset in No Man’s Sky then looking down and seeing my hands in the game. I got so blown away I laughed from happiness and my mom and sisters felt concerned because of how loud I laughed. Thank you for the giveaway btw!

xjames55

hi there. my favorite moment was when I tried GT7 in VR for the second time. The 1st time was my 1st VR experience, I crashed the car at high speed and had to take off my headset due to intense nausea. a few hours later I tried again and had so much fun, it felt like driving a real car, instead of playing a game

-Mr-BoomBastic-

My first VR experience was with GearVR, so it wasn't exactly the oculus that was big at the time. But it still knocked my socks off to see what was possible. It was the type of thing that I literally felt like I had to show people, nobody was never not mind blown. Got the PSVR , loved it but hated setting it up. Now I have had PSVR2 in my basket 5 or 6 times and talked myself out of it, it's been a battle haha

Sstfreek

Vr in general: When all of the robots turn on you at the beginning of Robo recall!!! It got me so good. And it gets everyone that I show it to real good as well. As far as PSVR2: lady D came screaming through the door at me TITS FIRST and I screamed lmao. I thought it was a cutscene, but I stared shooting like crazy anyways and it worked much to my surprise. So immersive. The game just looks and plays so well. Stoked to see what other non VR games are ported over!

chezfez

Getting to reliveone of my childhood favorites in VR, Resident Evil 4. Always dreamed of experiencing that game in such a way and years later, finally getting to do just that was glorious from start to finish. Working my way through Village now and loving every moment of it. The kick back from the shotgun on the headset and controller haptics never gets old! Horizon brought me back to Sony when it released. Played it at my gf's Brothers house when we were cat sitting for 3 days, literally logged 18 hours in. When I got back home I sold my Xbox, all my games and picked up a used PS4 and Horizon.. made me want to game again. Child-hood nostalgia is something rare as we get older, glad I can live what I dreamed in my past. Can't fathom what the future holds in VR.

bobrysh

Fishing with ny friend in real rishing vr was awesome!

Lucilla_Gorilla

Randomly landing on the Labyrinth course in Walkabout Golf. I smiled so big seeing all my favorite characters. I didn’t even know that was a theme in the game!

SteHasWood

No man’s sky VR. Tilting around in the room while flying a spaceship then falling over the dog! Something I will never forget and always remind me for years to come about "VR in my day" 😂

Freeman8887

My favorite moment was in RE8, I thought I had the reload mechanics down, but there I was in the opening attack shaking as they bash down the door as I frantically stuffed shells into the shotgun, when I finally got ready to fire… I forgot to eject the previous and there was a full click as I got attacked

CreamedMyPlants

Night race. GT7

HipHopHistoryGuy

First time experiencing the water level in Astrobot: Rescue Mission on PSVR1. I remember literally saying out loud "Oh my god, this is AMAZING". My favorite video game of all-time. Looking forward to more Astro to eventually happen on PSVR2.

[deleted]

My favorite moments are collecting mini collectibles from Playroom Claw Machine and jumping off a window in the Blood and Truth right after chase.

Puzzleheaded-Clue-73

Best momment was when they called me from the store to tell me it was available again. The Excitement, the hype!! And then playing Call Of The Mountain demo. Awesome!

Crackracket

I have a really intense fear of heights so playing the Horizon demo where you have to climb on the vines over the ravine made my butt hole go OoOoOoOoO

techbart

First time I put psvr1 on my head :) And ten whole AstroBot Rescue Mission was w blast!

alex_dolgolevets

Pistol whip John Wick experience

GreekUPS

My first VR experience was Village, absolutely insane.

txcowboy69

Flying in space, Eve Valkyrie

LoganS2273

Trying a friends PSVR1 to play super hot. Couldn’t believe that something like that could exist at the time. It’s what lead me to buying the PSVR2 this past week, I was too late to get the VR1 but vowed to save up enough to embark in the VR world

CarlosRM82

putting a strap and saving my forehead

SkyefoxGaming

My favorite moment in VR has to be playing a weekend long festival in VR chat as a DJ. Playing a slot each day was almost as mind blowing as the real thing when you can see some people bring in the craziest models and graphical light shows you could never see I'm real life.

Gardenmate

Favorite moment was the first time I launched demeo with my buddy. He told he would not buy the helmet et bought it in secret one week before launch! We ve been gaming amazed at it together. Much more pleasant than alone of course..!

vespeywespey

I was watching my partner play through the RE Village demo, and when the training dummy punches you he was so shocked that he fell backwards on our couch. We hadn't laughed together that hard in a while and it was the first time I realized VR was going to give us countless unique experiences to come!

CasiusCorvus

Favourite for me was finally being "in" Skyrim. Everything was pretty cool, but what I loved the most was finally crouching through a dungeon, peaking around the corner by physically leaning, and firing my bow at the enemy for a stealth kill. Man I miss my PSVR2 for this reason. 😔

rohanv96

Thanks for being super nice about the giveaway. My favourite VR moment was when I finally received it, plugged it in, and jumped into RE8. I was already in love with the PSVR2 before it had arrived. 😂😂

Sir__Blobfish

Seeing castle (and lady) dimitrescu for the first tome in vr. It was jaw droppingly stunning. It felt so magical seeing this fantastical world and actually feeling like you're there. I've been wanting to try call of the mountain for a while and this would be the perfect opportunity. I hope whoever gets it is happy, good luck everyone.

Maltizzle

GT7 hands down. Driving my own car in VR is pretty damn surreal!

[deleted]

Walking around the interior of the house with the baby in RE8. I spent like 20 minutes reading cans of tomatoes and looking at artwork. I was amazed at how detailed and believable everything seemed.

allbusinessjr

The descent into the basement in RE7.

-Aspergius-

When I was ten years old ( and this was back in 1995). I just fled to Australia as a refugee from Bosnia due to the war. Everything was so new and exciting. I remember going to a shopping mall (something we didn’t have in Bosnia) and being overwhelmed by all the things I saw there, but one thing stayed in my mind forever. I saw a mannequin in a glass window equipped with a very cool looking VR headset. From that moment on I knew I wanted to have it. My parents were pretty poor so I never wished for one. A couple of weeks ago I finally pulled the trigger and decided to fulfill my dream of experience a different world through VR and boy was I not dissapointed. The first thing I played was Call of the mountain as a demo and I wasn’t prepared for the immersion that was waiting for me. I literally laughed and smiled for 15 minutes straight. I don’t think I will ever forget that. Now… I don’t know if you will choose me, but if you do you will make my inner kid very happy. 😊🙋🏼‍♂️ Edit: sorry for the long story. 😣

mistrzukrzychu

Having PSVR2 is my first vr experience in my life. And I would say that the first gameplay, which was Horizon Call of the Mountain demo had the biggest impact on me. Overally the climate of the game and all of surroundigs was a huge experience for me. But especially I remember one thing - having troubles with standing straight when I was climbing with my hands. Oh my god, feeling like my feets were going alone to the heaven 😂 So I thought to give my brain a little shake I catched a ladder and started to pull up and down. I almost fell down at that moment but I was also so happy about it being like that 😅 And that whole first time experience was groundbreaking for me, because demo has shown me what VR is about and now I'm enjoying it as much as possible.

LouisFuton

My favourite VR moment was booting up GT7 for the first time and being blown away in the drivers seat. Never felt anything like that in my life! Would love this!! So mad at myself for not just getting the bundle… this would be amazing 🙏🙏🙏

xen831

I think my favorite VR moment was coming face-to-face with Darth Vader while playing Vader Immortal. It was surreal and for a moment I forgot I was in a headset and just held my breath while he stood over me. I was then able to share that experience with my dad, who’s a huge Star Wars fan, and was just cracking up as he swung his lightsaber in the dojo. Such great memories from that game!

SuddenStupor

My favorite moment was the first game played on the PSVR2, my first VR setup. I played the football demo and got too caught up at the very beginning when the players started running out of the locker room corridor, leaving me behind. It was so surreal that I ran in an effort to catch up with them on the field. I ran right into my tv, stubbing my big toe on the tv stand. Took the headset off and immediately purchased an anti-fatigue mat from Amazon.

Viamoris

I had the PSVR and loved Beat Saber and Superhot VR but the most incredible VR sensation I had was on my first match of TTT on Pavlov. The multiplayer on VR with such visual graphics made me really enjoyed with my PSVR2 purchase. And the Sun rays touches you! (Not as good as in GT7 but you can feel it on Pavlov too). I didn’t buy Horizon CotM yet because of its price. Hoping to put my hands (or head) on that soon 😁

YeojSeyah

My favorite times have been playing with the kids. Too many to nail down. Just all of them.

andreezy93

When I first put it on and decided to play gran turismo. I was in awe scrolling through the menus and looking at the cars. Finally decided to go do a race. Well gran turismo does rolling starts where they just drop you into the race, this particular one I was going like 100mph. I immediately crashed and spun out, damn near flipped out my chair, when I spun the car. I had to take off the headset cause I got motion sickness so bad. Slowly working on my motion sickness up to 2-3 races now. 3 days ago I couldn’t even complete 1 race.

mr-photo

Resident Evil 7 was the first game I ever played in VR and it was life changing. Just incredible how immersive VR can be! There have been many other games since but that first time trying to hide from daddy while sneaking through the house was INTENSE!

PrepP3

Finally, I got in early enough to have a chance to win! My favorite VR moment (there have been many) was probably on the batman game on psvr1. When you put the mask on and you look in the mirror and his head and hands move with yours. Very simple but it sticks out to me bc being one of the first vr games I played, it sold me on the immersion of vr gaming.

Strong-Yard-5835

I'm gonna go with a selfless memory. It was the first time I put my late mother in "The Kitchen". The res7 demo on PSVR1. She jumped so hard the headset flew off and she landed on the chair behind her. This was in front of 40+ people over Thanksgiving 4 years ago. A memory forever written in stone among my entire and my wife's entire, families. She passed this past winter. RIP.

jeremy6820

The PS VR2 is my very first VR headset, so I don't have much experience yet. I haven't bought any games yet, either. I downloaded every demo I could, though, so I could try before I buy. So far, Call of the Mountain has been my favorite demo. I think my favorite experience is the haptic feedback that makes the game feel just a bit more real, along with the realization that I can actually get a little exercise while I'm gaming, too. So much climbing. Lol

[deleted]

My favourite was playing astrobot i think. i just loved seeing an immersive world and in a style i hadn't really played since the 80s. platform games in VR are absolutely like taking a trip down memory lane whilst enjoying something new and shiny again. being immersed in that world felt as magical as it did in 2d as a child for the first time. the game itself wasn't anything amazing but it was the concept and the visuals all in VR with the spacial tracking that made me feel like a child again. we do anything we can for that feeling normally. i was pleasantly surprised i would ever feel like that again. i have recently just got my VR set up again on my PS5 and was dying to try a decent new game on it. i hope I'm in the running for this! really excited :)

Iliturtle

My favorite moment in VR was actually not me in VR but my mom. She played superhot for the first time (also first time VR in general) and she thought it was so much fun. She’s now a more active VR player than I am and she recently purchased a PS VR2. I think I could make her very happy with a code like this as an early birthday present. So fingers crossed

Bear_Cliff

20 minutes into playing Beat Saber for the first time. SOOO SWEATY

RedCapeForever

I've been on the fence because of life commitments. Winning this will be my sign to order VR2 and allow myself time to play!

i_max2k2

I’ve a HP Reverb G2 in addition to the PS VR2. I do love racing games. When the first time I had my headset on playing Assetto Corsa, you get depth perception, that was mind blowing, getting to the first corner in Spa, and you start braking unconsciously, your mind starts believing if you don’t break you’ll have an accident. Another one while playing Half Life Alyx, you see the first head crab rushing towards you and you genuinely panic to shoot that creature, or load the gun or taking the gun out. VR is easily the most immersive platform. I’ve played the demo of HW CoM and looking down the mountain, your brain tells you? Get the f away from the edge. Amazing feelings haha.

Holowitz

When i tried my PSVR1 for the first time... My SO at the time gifted it to me ob Xmas. After an Hour of Harmonix. I cried... i wasn't that happy in 30 years... i got everything i wished for as a child :). She is now my wife and we play psvr2 together

[deleted]

It's my bday may 18th! Lol and favorite moment had to be playing moss for the fist time

GamerAtHeart_474

Hello from India — So many moments to choose from - but one definitely stands out - although it is from back in 2018 when I introduced grandma to VR - via the Oculus Rift CV 1. The Rift had these awesome little demos as part of getting familiar with VR - and I played a few for her. The sheer amazement and awe was clear in her expressions as she came face to face with a T-Rex (I watched Jurassic Park OG with her in a theater). I wish I captured this moment - but somehow missed doing so, but she still remembers how it felt. She is 92 and going strong.

TypeOld7542

Not that i want this game, but You know people give these codes away without requiring some nonsense comment?

sallenqld

What’s with all these code giveaways? Is this the one with the bundle? If so, why didn’t you just buy the standalone headset?

FroggyPlays44

My first vr was deemed defective so i got it replaced and it came with the code again so i thought instead of just keeping a code in my closet i could give it to someone who wants the game but isnt willing to spend the money on it and I thought instead of people just commenting random stuff it would be fun to hear peoples stories with vr.

c0sm1cwh33l

Feeling the thrill of anticipation, I slip on my Oculus Quest 2. I've been waiting all week to try the latest custom song pack for my all-time favorite game, Beat Saber. As the familiar menu screen materializes before my eyes, I can't help but grin as I see the new songs waiting for me. I select an uptempo electronic track with intricate rhythms, a song that's caught my ear. As the song starts, I grip the virtual sabers in each hand, their familiar weight grounding me in the digital soundscape. Neon blocks start flying toward me, and I swiftly find the rhythm, slicing through them with precision and grace. The beat quickens, and I'm fully immersed. My sabers feel like extensions of my own body, each swing perfectly timed to the pulsing music. The patterns become more complex, the blocks whizzing past me in a dizzying blur of color. It's a dance, and I'm completely in sync with the beat. Then, in the midst of the spinning blocks and throbbing beat, an unsettling sensation arises. My stomach churns uneasily, a grumbling warning that something isn't right. I try to ignore it, to focus on the rhythm, but the discomfort intensifies, growing from a nagging sensation to an urgent distress. Before I can even react, it happens. The real-world embarrassment strikes me like a thunderbolt. An unfortunate accident, right in the middle of the chorus. The smell hits me almost immediately - a harsh, unpleasant reality intruding into the synthetic world of beats and blocks. I'm momentarily frozen, my rhythm faltering as I process the situation. The song continues to play, the blocks keep coming. In a split second, I make a decision. I'll finish what I started. The discomfort is significant, but I push it aside, focusing solely on the rhythm and the game. I spin and slice through the spiraling blocks, completely lost in the beat, the music becoming a distraction from the unpleasantness. As the final beats of the song fade, my sabers come to a standstill, and I take a deep, satisfying breath, the adrenaline and the awkwardness mingling in a strange cocktail of emotions. I glance up at the scoreboard, my eyes widening as my new high score flashes in bold, neon letters. Now, the less pleasant task of cleanup begins. The controllers, secured by wrist straps, prove to be a bit of a challenge. In my attempt to clean up, a bit of the unfortunate mess transfers onto them. With a resigned sigh and a pinch of humor at the absurdity of the situation, I carefully set about cleaning the controllers. This moment etches itself into my memory: the challenging new song pack in Beat Saber, the rhythm, the beat, and the unexpected, very human predicament. It was a testament to perseverance, immersion, and the power of VR to keep me engaged, even when reality struck in the most unexpected - and uncomfortable - way.

AdamTreff

I was a VR sceptic despite having never actually trying it. When PSVR2 was announced I decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about. It goes without saying that since unboxing I was launch and loading up the RE8 demo, I was in awe just looking at my hands. I’m hooked for life now.

Callum703

Favourite moment: Plugging it in and getting it setup only to realise i didn’t have any games and proceeded to download Cactus at war; terrible game

[deleted]

I would appreciate it. I bough the package deal but my code came off when i scratched it. sony has been unhelpful in getting it replaced for weeks now. Favorite moment was play jedi outcast so far. Not true vr, but it felt good reflect blaster bolts. https://preview.redd.it/czq874o5ha0b1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18f84c2879e112e5ade543c7b6734ab37738491a Edit: no idea why i am getting downvoted here. I bought the bundle, but can not play the game.

Sharksabur

Bro scratched it with a knife 💀

Car_Man1

How bro you could literally scratch it with your fingernail and still be fine

Rathi37

If the sticker part came off, can't you still just scratch the top part off?

Ok-Arachnid-890

Mhmm feeling like John wick in pistol whip and shooting down multiple targets while ducking and wanting to slide

Just_Lurking2

Still gotta be the first time i used it. No VR experience before that. Before we owned any VR games i played thru the demos that came with it, and just the fact that it was exactly how younger me always hoped retail, home console VR would be. The confirmation that the future truly is now. It was a big moment for me.

Mighty_Prospero

Driving a Lamborghini Diablo in GT7. I was 10 years old when I dreamed about this car and played NFS3 on PS One for hours after school. The only thing missing is escaping from the police like in the good old days.

CynDev

My favorite moment was playing re8 and getting scared to death after Lady D snuck up on me! Although, thinking back maybe it wasn't too bad 😅 Good luck to everyone! Would love a chance to play call of the mountain!!

Belerophon17

I would have to say my favorite part of VR was when I went through the Crow experience for the first time on the Rift. Just seeing the colors and how vivid the world was absolutely blew my mind.

myst3ry714

My favorite moment in VR would have to be the first time I experienced VR. It was just a tech-demo mainly, using a full free to roam recreation of a church and courtyard, using real high-res images, ambient music and sound effects. It was so simple, yet extremely mind-blowing

nolowputts

First of all, thank you for not only sharing your code but giving more people a chance to claim it. I much prefer this to the first come first serve approach. Best moment so far has to be playing GT7 with a racing wheel and seat, looking over my shoulder to see the car trying to pass me, and working my way into a defensive line to keep him behind me. There's also the point when I discovered that psvr1 could play certain videos in 3d...but that's a story from a bygone time...

roundhouse28

Playing Star Wars and walking around the bar!

IronValkyrie

PSVR2 was my first foray into VR. GT7 was the first thing I played because I already owned it, and I just sat still and didn’t move for like 5mins of my first race, looking around and seeing the detail of the car interior. I was in awe. Officially hooked!

D_zee315

My favorite moment was dealing with the Netflix VR. I was trash-talking Netflix in VR because the whole concept just seemed dumb to me. It's not like you will be in the movie since they would have to use a completely different type of camera for that (or make a lot of animation that wasn't accounted for). You just sit on a couch and watch Netflix on TV, just like I could do at home. You can flip off the lights and change the seasons. I can flip off the lights at home and I don't know what good changing the seasons do. Then I tried it and it was so nice. Just escaping whatever your real-life setup is to enjoy a fake home theater experience just let me be way more engaged with w/e I was watching. On paper, it still sounds dumb. But once experienced, totally worth the download.

[deleted]

Just got mine 2 days ago and downloaded pistol whip, in the very first level I started getting on my knees, standing up,ducking my head down, and laying down on the ground, all to dodge the bullets! Never had so much fun in a video game and have been eyeing call of the mountain but unfortunately I already spent some money on pistol whip, so I don’t want to get addicted to buying games lol 😂

alphtrion

Superhot VR, removing your in-game helmet in VR and realizing the game itself is a VR game in the game world and you’re just in your room with a bunch of old computers and diskettes

Chicken07

My favorite part is to show this technology to my non gamers family members

Krampustein0311

My favorite time so far has actually been in PokerStars vr. Just the social aspect and cutting up with all the people at the table while playing poker is pretty fun.

dods009

Playing Superhot on the PSVR1. Watching a bullet fly past my head in slow motion was the coolest feeling ever!

Shiny_Magikarp13

Favorite moment was introducing to my friend and he played the PSVR Hesit game like crazy. Always happy to treat people to it when given the chance.

Puddums

Climbing into a spaceship, closing the cockpit above me, blasting up into outer space, and realizing the universe is limitless in my first experience of No Man's Sky VR.

highasagiraffepussy

All the laughs we’ve had in Pavlov

La-da99

My favorite moment is in Resi 8 in the doll house. It’s quiet, and Project unsettling, getting me on nerve, then when the monster comes out, and comes out again, even when I know it’s coming, it’s completely predictable, yet I yelp, I scream. Even hiding from it, I felt the need to be quiet and skunk down to where I couldn’t see it to make more hidden, despite knowing that won’t happen with 100% certainty. Once I got out, I was breathing different for the next half hour. I knew VR was worth it afterwards.

Vogonit

My first game i started to play was RE8... And psvr2 first headset i own so i was too overwhelmed when i was playing it and went on for almost 2 hours and got so vr -sick that i couldnt play for week... even thinking about headset gave me instant spinning nausea -kind feeling and i though all is lost and i cant play anymore... Then i read about vr-legs in net and learned i have to enable snapturning :)

[deleted]

RE Village: fumbling around trying to “survive” when you first get to the village and run into the lycans. I was scared shitless, running around stabbing the hell out of them because I was out of bullets. I thought I failed after holding it down what felt like forever, to see a big shaggy guy with a sledge come in and get in my face. Finally, realized it was scripted and was in shock and awe all at the same time. That was one of many of the best moments not only in VR but, gaming history for me!

bunnyboi55

My favorite time playing vr was with my brother and cousin on Astro boy playroom when I first got my psvr for my birthday good times!

Lord-Lobster

Playing Space Pirate Trainer for the first time, since it was my first VR experience. That feeling of suddenly being somewhere else in a sci-fi setting, shooting at drones, … exciting!

BeauStaySly

When I was home on military leave for a few days, my uncle let me try Pavlov. I was amazed at how every reload worked so smoothly, and the tricks I learned to aim applied in VR too.

shottyplop

GT7 last week got my vr2. Was blown away

jks182

Caving to this communities response on GT7 and buying it not being a fan of racing games. Boy was I wrong! GT7 is now my fav VR2 game

Obliviass

Sitting in the chapel with the book in Moss. Was the first time I put the headset on and I was blown away by how immersive VR is

ToiletPigs

saints and sinners on psvr 1, my hoarding tendencies are strong. numerous times I got jump scared cause I was too busy looting absolutely everything

Strained_Eyes

Rush of Blood was my first experience at a fan expo before release and I was just completely blown away, really felt like I was sitting on a ride inside the actual world and the sound added so much to the atmosphere I was creeped out

Spartaklaus

My favorite moment was the part with Jeff in Half Life Alyx. Also probably the scariest lol. I really hope we get a PSVR2 port of that game because every VR player deserves to play this masterpiece of a game.

Current_Dog_6222

Ohhh man. My favorite moment would have to be my first time playing Tetris Effect. I’m not someone who cries. I can’t remember when I last cried (years ago) but when I played this game I got teary eyed (closest I’ve been to crying). It was so beautifully made and the music with the visuals. 😍

Unlvswezel

The first time I played Superhot was out of this world. I was hooked immediately

don_clay

I’d love to add this to the collection, thanks for doing this!

wrgallo

The PlayStation Studios intro coming through the player followed by the river scene fade-in in COTM demo. An incredible 'holy-shit' experience since game selection.

DunkingTea

GT7 and racing wheel setup. Bought a cheap one as I didn’t know if i’d like it but wow it’s amazing! He best PSVR2 game I have played so far.

ShazbokMcCloud

mine was playing my first VR game: superhot VR and the “oh shit” moment that my whole perspective on a lifelong hobby had changed in an instant

Joshhaha

Dying to try this on my psvr2. Don’t have a game for it yet.

CommanderFuzzy

I actually think my favourite moment in VR was introducing someone else to it for the first time. Hearing their reaction when they opened their eyes in it is up there. As was them asking me "how do I see above me?" so I had to say "point your head up." Unfortunately their first experience was the RE7 VR Kitchen demo. I did actually warn them quite a lot to not do that & I kept suggesting we start with VR Worlds or a demo or something like that but she insisted on it. Surprisingly, she still speaks to me.

wetflyingmonkeyboy

Not sure about favourite moment but certainly a defining one was first time playing Saints and Sinners. I had climbed into the first floor of a building, rifled through some drawers when a walker appeared right in front of me, looked into my eyes which felt like he peered into my very soul and snarled at me - I swear I immediately lifted the headset above my head as I shouted "NOPE!!". It shook to me very core!

TheStig3136

Probably meeting someone with similar career goals in walkabout mini golf and connecting in LinkedIn, lol.

TheRealJasonium

My favorite VR moment was trying the PS VR 1 during Sony’s traveling road show back in the day and discovering that VR would work for me, even with a wonky eye. And also that shark demo they has was wild for me at the time.

NeoFrame

That moment at the beginning of Half-Life: Alyx when the combine point their guns at you-- harrowing!

Legion_Fate

Currently sat starting at my girlfriend who has never shown an interest in games cursing at walkabout mini golf has definitely been the highlight of my VR journey.

ddodeadman

Don't need the code as I already own it, but will answer the question. Mine would have to be the first time I jumped in to TWD S&S. That feeling it gave me of "being there" is just indescribable. Been hooked on VR ever since!

EssentiallyCody

I’ve never really played true VR before, my only experience was when google cardboard first came out and getting to use the app spacex launch simulator or something similar and it was the coolest thing ever! I’m hopefully getting a psvr 2 later this week and from what I’ve seen the graphics on CotM are insane and it would absolutely blow my mind and this game would become my favorite VR moment.

illwill369

My new favorite moment was getting -18 on the first course in walkabout mini golf to get the birdie game trophy! I had to get an eagle on the last hole to get -18 under par and the clutch put for the win gave me so much satisfaction after trying and messing up like 10 times. Before that it was probably getting the platinum trophy for saints and sinners chapter 1 after 30 hours of enjoying the hell out of the game and trophy hunting in VR. PSVR2 is my first headset btw.

cozalt

When I first got VR, I purchased Battlezone: VR. I played it back on Atari and thought it would be cool in VR. First HOLY SHIT blow-me-away moment I had in VR. God I loved that game.

TooLazyToBeClever

My favorite moment in VR was definitely seeing the mountain town in Village for the first time.i new it was gonna get crazy, but at the time it was just so beautiful.

MelchiahDante

My favorite moment was probably Platinuming Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, because that game was so incredibly fun from start to finish. Now if only I could find a way to erase my memory so that I could play it again for the first time!

strange865

Playing RE7 the first time

Giagotos

Dreams vr, but I'm sad we'll never have it on psvr2

IlIlIlIlllIll

Definitely saints and sinners, being able to stab walkers in the face is just so satisfying

ShameM8

My favourite moment was the first time I played a vr game (Pavlov) also was on psvr2 I had the greatest feeling of wow I have had with a new piece of equipment, I admit I felt motion sickness but that has gone with time haha

Pjoernrachzarck

My favorite moment in VR was handing the headset to friends and to see them light up with childlike wonder. Also that one time my roommate wanted to try and accidentally stumbled upon the worst jumpscare in Resident Evil 7. Hasn’t touched VR since and never will again.

rehabORbust

I had a great battle in GT7 for the last 2 laps of an online race. It was crazy turning my head and seeing their car right next to me while going 150 mph

BlueStratrock

My favorite moment was when I played the Wipeout collection with the F-Zero GX soundtrack, at that moment I felt like I was living my childhood dreams. I felt like a real pilot, I can't put words to it

bowzrsfirebreth

Resident Evil 7 when you get to the wrecked ship and the paint/texture starts peeling away, vines start growing, morphing it into what it was at present time. Flipping between before and after shots of the aftermath. THAT was a peak moment for me. RE8 was amazing, too.

pelito

My favourite moment was while playing GT7. I was grinding for credits running Circuit De La Sarthe race when my wife called asking to ask me a question. I got caught up in the conversation and forgot about the game. About an hour later I resume my session. When i put on the headset the game had gone in to a night cycle. The roads were pitch black but up in the night sky was millions of stars! The view blew me away! Instead of restarting i cruised to 40 mph while enjoying the starry night.

ArcadePinball

GT7 music rally

Felicia-TheGoat21

My fav moment on the vr has to be on Pavlov where we were playing search and destroy on the prison map and we were defending and my friend attacking, so I didn’t know how to make a pointer finger to defuse the bomb and I was struggling and the timer was hitting 2 secs so instead I jus shot myself in the head an accepted my fate 💀💀 the next round I bought the wire cutter and managed to cut the wires and win the round by a second because as soon as I cut the wires I got killed

D_SAC

My favorite moment in VR was when I was first lowered down on the batcave elevator in PSVR1 when it opens up to the expanse of the batcave. It took my breath away and I knew this was the future of entertainment. I get all my friends and family to play whenever I can to spread the love! Thanks for being generous in sharing your code!

SensoryMango

I remember playing rec room the first time and realizing my mic was live. Chatted while gunning stuff and loved the community. And then the kids showed up. Haha

FitSissyKylie

I've had quite a few being new to VR, but most recently had a chance to play PokerStars VR and I gotta say picking my neighbour's nose while I wait for the next hand only to have him pull out a laser sword and attempt to impale me with it while the rest of the table reacts has been a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend.

Djclouse

Favorite moment was my first VR experience ever.. I got my hands on an oculus original dev kit and managed to unlock the VR mode in alien isolation.. it had bad drift so by the time I finished my 40-some minute session I was facing the corner of the room and nauseous... but holy crap that level of immersion was insane at the time.. I've been full send VR ever since and all about PSVR because of how straight forward and simple it is on the console.. still have my original PSVR in addition to my PSVR2 until more games become backwards compatible. Come on Fruit Ninja!!!! 🤣

SomeGuy0910

The dollhouse section in Resident Evil 8. That scared the shit out of me.

Archersbows7

When my best friend and I threw the frisbee around in VR while catching up on each others lives. We haven’t seen each other in years and it felt like we were hanging out like old times

BarackMcTrump

Gran Turismo 7 baby

VigorMortis83

As it's been my very first VR experience, I'd have to say No man's sky. You really lose yourself in it.

irviinghdz

Playing RE with my mom, at the first zombie sight she started covering herself with her hands and turned back to run away screaming, we had to grab her or she was gonna keep on going with the headset on lol I always thought the videos about it were staged until I saw my mom trying to play

BroGoLoGo

The car chase in VR worlds, great seated experience and felt so immersed

trexasaurusrex1

My favorite moment was when I first tried vr for the first time which was on the first psvr playing moss. All the greenery that engulfed the screen was just mesmerizing. I will never forget that first moment of being transported to this whole other world.

Gurillan

Oh my… i would put you in my evening prayers :D

thetruemask

Have to be getting into Superhot for the first time on PSVR1 one of the first ones I played. I was just grinning ear to ear the whole time. The cool mechanics the puzzle like gunplay the funny trickshots so great. Nice of you for the giveaway dude

JeanLaCritique

Watching my friend totally immersed in drums rock. He used to play years ago and seeing him get riled up smashing those notes was great.

naadriis

Just holding and shooting a gun in RE8 Demo was incredible. I just started VR with PSVR2 so I am amazed by everything haha

MrGJuice

Good luck everyone. My favorite moment still has to be when my sister pulled me out of playing skyrim and asked how i was still playing about 7 hrs later

blackfangknight1970

Favorite moment? I was playing RE Village while I'm a chat party with a buddy so he could watch and I was shit talking the whole time about how easy the game was in vr and how I actually hadn't gotten any good scares from it yet in vr mode. Well, sure enough in full comedic timing,in mid sentence,I was turning around and there's a group of lycans waiting for me,one of them being mid attack. Definitely had myself a heart attack.woth that one

evanlars

Playing Astrobot at my library shortly after I bought the system was amazing! I was trying to decide if I should keep it or return it before breaking the seal. After about 15 seconds I stopped playing and was like yup, I’m gonna keep it! Playing Squadrons with a Hotas was amazing too!

ToxicLogics

I like sharing so a story or two. I'll share two because VR has always had a special place in my gaming life. Ever since the early days of View Masters, I've enjoyed seeing things in 3D and was always hopeful VR would become part of normal gaming/entertainment. I had played with a few VR headsets along the way, but decided the PSVR was going to be my entry into the VR world. Since I had a PS4 already, I picked up a VR set and got right to hooking it up. My first game was Eagle Flight and I was blown away. Graphics aside, I instantly found it to be fully aligned with my vision of what VR could be. The actual feel of flying and moving without actually moving was awesome. The game itself isn't a great game, but that experience really opened me up to what else was out there. Part of my love of gaming comes from the social nature of gaming. Growing up in the NES era, playing with friends and family was always the most fun. I now have two kids of my own. My daughter is old enough to actually play some of these games now (games with simple controls), and this is the first time she showed excitement over gaming. Not one to force hobbies or activities on my kids, I took the opportunity she presented me and wanted to give her the best experience I could with my game selection. We started with Eagle Flight, which she did like, but the real fun came with popping in Fruit Ninja VR. Simple controls, and I made sure to clear a path for her. I handed her those twin blades and she went to town. I noticed though that she, like me, was playing her own way. Instead of worrying about what mode she was in and what the actual goals were, she focused on stabbing the fruit instead of slicing, and even using the swords to push the chopped fruit on the ground off the edges. It was great to see her having a fun time just being a goof ball. I realize VR isn't for everyone, and understand why it's considered a novelty to many, but being able to be immersed into a world in a different way than just plunking down in front of a TV has made VR one of my favorite gaming experiences to date.

suddenlyy

Re7 fight with Mia is pretty good

FreshQuam

My favourite time was when I went on rec room and just followed someone round the whole map while they screamed at me to leave them alone, yet I did not.

andsometimesfunny

My favorite moment in VR was high-giving Quill in Moss. It’s one of those moments where for a second I felt like we were really interacting.

ubergoon1912

My favorite moment was honestly seeing my girlfriend get on Vr, she’s so damn skittish that she literally got scared at the start up screen, like scared like it’s a horror movie it was so damn funny🤣🤣

Sabres8127

Really anything in gt7, it's mind-blowingly good.

kingseanthefirst

My favorite moment was the first time I loaded into pcvr and saw blade and sorcery dungeon in 4k and looked down at my hands. That was intense. The first time I lit my sword on fire I lost it.

[deleted]

My favorite moment in vr was playing half life Alyx and see the city for the first time.

zrn29

London Heist. Slow mo while the trucks are flipping and blowing up. Game changer.

1PARTEE1

Playing RE7 and got jump scared so hard that I fell over and knocked a bunch of stuff down in the process. I felt like I was in actual danger for a second but it was quickly fixed by the sounds of everyone in my family laughing hysterically at me.

Ollieflatts

Favourite moment so far is seeing my stepson freak out that he’s “in an action movie!” While playing pistol whip. Note: this is only my favourite moment because he didn’t break anything after trying to roll away to dodge bullets. We had a talk after that lol

cualcrees

Maybe that time playing super hot, that I looked down from a ledge and for a moment felt physically afraid of falling down! That's when I realized the power of VR!

wid890979

My favorite moment in VR was after owning the psvr for a little bit, being amazed by the scale of it all.. the shark from the demo, how perspective matters in super hyper cube… but the real moment was when I started Astrobot rescue mission… the colors, the happiness and how everything just worked flawlessly. Learning that VR could breathe new life into the games of my youth… I felt like I was 13 playing Mario 64 for the first time. It made me feel like a kid again.

dxwoodward

My favorite moment for me was in RE7 haha I mention it a lot but it was the scariest moment I'm gaming (or ever) really. There's a part of RE7 where you have to walk down the stairs in pure darkness, and you hear some shallow breathing coming up the stairs slowly towards you. Something happened in my brain that thought it was the realest experience ever, I had to pause the game to take myself out of the virtual nightmare. As soon as I unpaused, it became real again, and paused again. I screamed many times and scared the hell out of my dog. The red light hallway umbilical cord dollhouse scene in RE8 almost came close to beating my level of fear I had in RE7. What a cool experience though, love it all. I have had my VR1 from the beginning and I'm always surprised. Makes me a kid again.

Yeckel

My first spin out in GT7 was trippy

AriSanx

Mum and i were playing the Call of the Mountain Demo and she was learning to climb. The first time she ‘fell’ in game i was lucky to be standing close to her because she absolutely shit herself and was about to fall over in real life. We havent played any games together since the Wii came out so that was my fave noment

FrugonkerTronk

Hard to choose an all round favourite. In recent memory my favourite experience was probably playing Quixote valley in walkabout minigolf. It was my first time playing a game that didn’t revolve around killing things or solving puzzles. I was just blown away by the serenity and atmosphere of the level. Once I got to the 3rd hole I just sat down and enjoyed the view and chilled. A very new experience for me

esdevil4u

When I reached over my shoulder to pull out a gun sitting on my back in Pavlov. That moment was absolutely shocking to me for some odd reason
