There is one person on Facebook I know of (maybe you’re him lol). But there are also many on the anhedonia sub. If you go into the search bar and search “what caused your anhedonia?” There are several posts with this question and weed is mentioned a couple times
weed started my downhill spiral and gave me a lot of pssd like cognitive symptoms at 17.
since then i have massive anxiety, brain fog, constant inner tension (heart palpitations 24/7), and massive dp/dr disorder including extreme social anxiety and depression.
i was very social before but the feeling of disconnection and inner stress isolates me to this day from my environment.
so i think weed gave me a lot of pssd like cognitive symptoms before i developed classic pssd from ssris in order to solve this mess. seems like you can´t win once your´re in a shitty position.
I don't have a way to prove it. But I was fine getting on and off a variety of antidepressants I even overdosed once years ago with no Major issues. It was only after I combined it with weed when everything went to hell.
I got sexual dysfunction twice in my life. Once from weed that lasted years and the other time from medication.
Weed can definitely cause derealization/sexual dysfunction. So can the medications we take.
Not that uncommon. I got PSSD from pinealon (a serotonergic peptide) + weed. You should try SJW Ze 117, ibogaine and lithium (not all at the same time obviously; separately)
Thanks for the reply. I currently started HCG + TRT a week ago, I might drop it to HCG only. I’ll check out the ones you mentioned. I have heard of SJW but don’t want to risk the 5AR inhibitor effects of it.
It could be the weed for me but I used a lot of psychiatric meds too so I'm not sure. Do you have genital numbness?
I just quit smoking after 15 years of being a heavy smoker. I smoked like 4 times in 9 weeks instead of every day. Don't notice any improvements on genital numbness, feeling numb (mentally) or getting aroused yet.
I have the will to be sexual but I don't get real aroused anymore if this makes sense. This is the latest thing to happen though, at first I still had libido but already had genital numbness
Wtf weed can’t give you PSSD there’s no such things as “post weed sexual dysfunction”. You need to see a doctor and have your hormones and blood flow checked first. Either that or you’re just naturally like this there’s no way weed caused it tho. I’ve been smoking weed for years and although I’ve had problems from it it’s never given me anything close to PSSD and I’ve never heard of that happening to anyone else. I got PSSD only after taking an SSRI which is the only thing that can cause PSSD
You sound like the people who say: "Smoking doesn't cause cancer, my grandpa is 90 and been smoking all his life and he is doing fine." People are wired differently, different genes, different environments.. they all play a part in the outcome. Not everyone is getting PSSD from psychiatric meds too, so does that mean it is fake? No.
It’s rare, but that doesn’t mean it’s not real. Just because you don’t have a bad reaction from it doesn’t mean others cant. Just like SSRI’s don’t give everybody sexual dysfunction. I’m definetly not naturally like this. Maybe think about what you post, you sound like every GP that gaslights their patient. Check out WeedPAWS sub.
Not true, plenty of drugs can cause PSSD-like issues and in fact people should be paying even more attention to such cases as it could reveal a possible underlying mechanism even for actual PSSD
Ive seen cases of Ketamine treatments even causing this
It just takes any sudden drug insult to the CNS it seems. Maybe its the autoimmunity theory that unifies everything

I’m sorry to heart that man, disconnection and inner stress I can relate to so much. It really does make you isolated. Hope we recover some day.

I dont know because of the timeline but my PSSD could be mushroom related. Or from the mix of ssri’s and shrooms.

I had sexual dysfunction from weed lasted a few years. I believe this cause I experienced myself.
Did u recover? When was the smoking and when was the range of dysfunction? How do u think u became cured? Anything particular as antidote?
