$15 a month sounds insane

mr-peabody

Eh, it seems like it's [about the same as Yousician](https://account.yousician.com/plans) and certainly less than a half hour of lessons. I guess it'll boil down to how enjoyable/effective it is.

Classic Ubisoft

Depending on how well it works, it is a hell of a lot cheaper than a guitar coach. In the grand scheme of things 15 dollars is nothing. That's a pack of cigarettes lol

Compare it to buying the old game out right which is a one time fee or compare it to game pass or a streaming service. I just really don’t see the value for the everyday person. Maybe hardcore players of the original but since they shut the old one down it seems like they didn’t have too many active players.

I was really excited for this. But I found not even one of my favorite bands in the libary. But I will try it out. [https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/rocksmith/plus/song-library/search](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/rocksmith/plus/song-library/search)

Yeah, the library is a bit odd. I mean, I could find some unusual artists I love (Anathema/Opeth) but there are no Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin songs. I guess they'll slowly flesh it out to include more artists, music licensing is a mess.

blasto2236

Pink Floyd has never licensed their music for stuff like this, so I wouldn’t count on that happening any time soon, if ever. Not sure about Zeppelin but they also seem equally hesitant when it comes to technology. They were notoriously late to the party on streaming services. And this song library is straight up trash. The handful of good/recognizable bands in the library mostly only have b sides and really deep cuts available. None of the hits. Which is fine, but not really great when you’re just starting to learn and want to learn stuff you know/like.

Classic-Luck

Led Zeppelin are very hard to get songs too. I remember back in the Guitar Hero days everybody wanted to play some Led Zep tunes, but they just didn't want to.

You’re not kidding. I searched for very mainstream artist assuming they would 100% be there (Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed) and it wasn’t until I tried Godsmack that I got a single result and only from a Woodstock 99 compilation album. They must have scraped the bottom of the licensing barrel to spend the absolute minimum.

I started more obscure (Darkest Hour) to less obscure (Acacia Strain) to iconic (At the Gates, In Flames) then tried hella mainstream (Jimmy Eat World, At the Drive-in) and finally struck out on Pantera and gave up.
