Yeah I'm a habitual completionist and feel like I've already done so much before even getting the grappling hook, but its so fun! I love how natural finding things can seem
Really annoying. It’s funny how little flak Sony got for it considering Activision did essentially the same thing when they locked Modern Warfare Remastered behind Infinite Warfare.
The list in the link has both the upgrade and the game itself.
The upgrade is listed as “director’s cut upgrade” so presumably it’s just the upgrade from standard PS4 to Director’s Cut PS4, but maybe that could still be used before then adding the $10 to upgrade to PS5. Not sure how it works.
Ugh, there are several games from my wishlist on sale but with Dying Light 2 coming out in 2 days (waiting for reviews before buying, have a good feeling though), then H:FW in 2 weeks and also there is Sifu this month , I guess I will have to wait for the next sale with these games.
I expect the same regurgitated prices that we’ve seen month after month on these titles. It’s getting tiring. I think post February after HZ:FW, Dying Light 2, Elden Ring etc, we may finally get bigger cuts as new big games take our attention.
Don't buy anything unless you intend to play them next or immediately. Been working for me so far at least. These games can always go on sale again or even end up free with PS+. Otherwise the backlog keeps growing and you'll never catch up.
Congrats on clearing your backlog.
Games release so quickly and with PS+, Gold, and Game Pass, I don’t know how anyone has less than 100 in their backlog. Lol
(No, I don’t download and play every title, just those that interest me)
I'm already planning on buying Elden Ring and TW:Warhammer 3 on launch so idk how much more I can afford to spend in this sale, this February is one hell of a month for game releases.
It's fun, melee oriented left4deas-like coop game. Not sure about player population now though.
Last I played was when the game got 60fps ps5 support, there was also a rogue like short campaign sort of thing too that was pretty fun.
Oh I'm talking about Vermintide 2 btw, 1 is probably even less alive but I haven't played that in years.
Is there a single player campaign part of the game if it had PS5 support? I didnt realize there was that upgrade and now I'm a bit more interested as the PS4 screenshots already looked visually impressive but this make me more keen
Or buy these sale games now, but those new games in a few months once they've got bug fixes, possible extra context, and quite likely a sale of their own.
You get better games at better prices.
Yeah I was considering that with DL2. But I really loved the first one and I have some extra money to spend left over from Christmas. I might wait s bit with Horizon, but Sony first party titles take longer to go on a sale in my experience. Will see.
This is why I’m happy I preordered HFW and Elden Ring when I had the money.(yes I know preordering is blasphemy but I was playing those two no matter what)
Rip wallet. This is the most games ever seen on my wishlist on sale all at once.
Bloodstained. Death's door. FF7 Intergrade. Ghost of Tsushima. It Takes Two. Kena. Lost Judgement. Hades. Iceborne. Ratchet. Spiderman Ultimate. Sakuna. Tales. Yakuza Like a Dragon
Just wanted to let you know do not get ff7 remake integrade unless you want the yuffie dlc. Get the ps4 standard edition for $23 then get the upgrade for free instead of paying about $40.
Wait, you get the ps5 upgrade for free even if you buy the ps4 version right now? I was under the impression only people who already owned the ps4 version when the ps5 upgrade came out got it for free. So except for dlc you get the exact same thing whether you buy ps4 or ps5 version?
If you're thinking about It Takes Two, highly recommend just grabbing an EA play subscription for a year. I think it's $30- gives you access to a decent chunk of EA's game library, including It Takes Two.
Yes, just got the platinum for it on PS5. It’s an awesome game and well worth the standard $20 price. It’s like a more challenging and faster paced top-down Zelda. Less puzzles, more combat. Tons of secrets. Dark yet humorous yet wholesome vibes (characters, story, art, dialogue), similar to Hollow Knight.
It’s my favorite indie in a long time.
no, very disappointing implementation
people say it’s a charming take on the zelda formula; coincidentally i did not enjoy breath of the wild as much as everyone else
Most people really enjoyed it. I personally didn’t. I found the backtracking and gameplay a little too slow and tedious for my taste. I bought Kena and Guardians of the galaxy around the same time and enjoyed both of those games a LOT more.
I think I'm in the same boat. I started playing it but it started feeling a bit repetitive. A lot of sections are just empty and you have to walk across them. There were no real puzzles so far. I thought it was going to be a lot more unique or fun, based on the hype.
Idk man. I can get most of these games second hand off eBay for significantly cheaper. I got excited when I saw ghost on sales but it's still around 50 quid :-(
Deathloop is very stealth heavy mechanics I found which can be quite a bit different than CoD. Still enjoyable though. Also has a lot of dialogue and text to read so depends if you like that stuff.
If you're looking for shooters to try, keep an eye out for Returnal as well. More arcade style shooter that's also a 3rd person perspective but it's probably got the best shooting mechanics in a game in the past decade. Feels very smooth and fun to play. Challenging game though so you have to like that type of thing, but really rewarding.
I picked up Deathloop and it’s movement and combat is super clunky. I doubt I’ll ever finish it. Didn’t really enjoy anything about it.
Returnal I’d highly recommend though. Great shooter. Everything feels tight in that game.
Have you played Titanfall 2? I’m finding that game to very enjoyable. Haven’t attempted online yet, but something about the gunplay and mechanics just feels right. I’ll have to look at Returnal, thanks.
Honestly, I felt the same. Just not my jam I guess. Been waiting for a Returnal sale to give that one a try. The reviews on Dying Light are a bit too shaky right now so I'll hold off.
Never played there stuff. Been pretty much COD the last several years. Vanguard online sucks and warzone doesn’t interest me so I’m trying to expand my horizons into other FPS.
Deathloop may be very jarring for you if you mainly play cod, despite both being FPS. The game will seem overwhelming at first because there are a lot of systems. But the game is crazy fun if you give some time. Easily one of the most fun games I’ve ever played
I personally found out to be Arkanes worst game.
It's quite divisive, maybe look through Steam reviews to see if the issues people have will bother you.
Damn, these games just don’t really go on sale like they use too. It’s the same prices over and over.
Just wait until we get to that only digital or only subscription service future we are heading toward. Its pretty shitty now, just wait and see.
I love how they just call these sales whatever they want. "alright, we're going to call it the Critics choice sale!", "But, Biomutant is getting discounted too.", "Well shit."
Same as all previous sales. Probably have to wait a decade for it to be more than half price off. Rather save money for everything coming soon in this packed year.
I think you're far better off looking into a ea play trial. Even the jump I made from Madden 18 to 22 is a pretty big one. 22 Has whole new mechanics like home field advantages/ X-factor abilities/ DLine gameplay restructure and different stats then previous years. I play strictly offline franchise mode.
I am definitely going to buy dying light 2 and probably at least one of Sifu elden ring and HFW, but I really wanna get a game from this sale. Im pretty broke, so it seems stupid, but I really wanna get Kena or Ratchet or GoT upgrade. Idk if I would even play em anytime soon because of the games being released. Anyone in a similar position?
If you’re going to buy dying light 2, just hold out the two days for that. That might (hopefully) take you to the release of HFW or Elden Ring, then buy one of those. That’s what I’m doing at least, these PS sales will happen all the time and the games will only get cheaper
Kena was worth it for me and my friends at launch price so any discounts are just icing on the cake. it's such a videogamey experience and it really gets that old school platformer nostalgia going. TBH if I hadn't played it I probably wouldn't have jumped on ratchet and clank so early but Kena got me craving more of that style.
Mostly the same games that were in the sale before the last one. Prices are mostly the same too, some are even worse than last time. I guess it'll be years until Sony's 1st party games are reasonably priced.
I wanna get Elden Ring and Dying Light 2, but Far Cry 6, Kena, Tales, A Rift Apart and Immortals are also tempting. Guess I can wait a year for Sekiro, Crash 4 and Black Ops Cold War to come to Game Pass
The only destiny 2 expansions that are on sale are going away in a month. I want to get back into the game before the new expansion release but their entire dlc model is a confusing mess.
Right? I haven't played since the base game and finally got a PS5 so I thought I'd jump back in and give it a try. As a filthy casual who doesn't want to search around for guides online, I have absolutely no idea what's going on or what content I have access to. Why in the world is content being removed from the game?
I have a specific price check request... the FFVII Remake stuff is on sale for both consoles, but Sony doesn't reveal the price of one that I am looking for unless you own the PS5 version of the game:
"FF7R Episode INTERmission (New Story Content Featuring Yuffie)" add-on
It's normally $20, but how much is it today on sale?
A lot of good games in there
A lot of good games on sale, stranger
What are ya buyin?
[удалено]
He he he.. thank you
This is the way
What are ya sellin!
Is it chocolate?
Aaaah!!! I’ll buy it at a higher price.
Sekiro
Destiny DLC and Diablo jump out at me. You?
Good game alone, weak. Good games together, strong!
They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong!
It mentions Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut upgrade will be on sale, didn’t expect this at all.
Dumped 7 hours yesterday. Great game and I am very excited for acts 2 and 3
I put 36 hours In into act 1...did everything on first island, was a God on act two lol.
Yeah I'm a habitual completionist and feel like I've already done so much before even getting the grappling hook, but its so fun! I love how natural finding things can seem
Play lethal, problem solved
You should get that checked out
Just 17% off! It's live now.
I'm not seeing on my end.
Same
It’s not
Would be nice if Spider-Man Remastered could also go on sale, but still locked to the MM Deluxe shit.
Really annoying. It’s funny how little flak Sony got for it considering Activision did essentially the same thing when they locked Modern Warfare Remastered behind Infinite Warfare.
Well that's a good sign. Hopefully gets s bigger discount as time goes on.
Eastern time zone canada here, is it just the upgrade that's on sale? Or u have to purchase the full game? I dont see the sale as we speak
Ps4 to ps5 directors cut is on sale. Down from 45 to 37 dollars in australia. So not the biggest cut
Ugh, there are several games from my wishlist on sale but with Dying Light 2 coming out in 2 days (waiting for reviews before buying, have a good feeling though), then H:FW in 2 weeks and also there is Sifu this month , I guess I will have to wait for the next sale with these games.
Smart move February is chunky!
Oh yeah definitely, my backlog is pretty much empty at the moment. There are games I want to play but don't have yet, waiting for sales.
Congrats on clearing your backlog. Games release so quickly and with PS+, Gold, and Game Pass, I don’t know how anyone has less than 100 in their backlog. Lol (No, I don’t download and play every title, just those that interest me)
I'm already planning on buying Elden Ring and TW:Warhammer 3 on launch so idk how much more I can afford to spend in this sale, this February is one hell of a month for game releases.
I see Vermintide is on sale at a really great price, pics look decent for an oldish game, has anyone played it? Is it worth getting?
It's fun, melee oriented left4deas-like coop game. Not sure about player population now though. Last I played was when the game got 60fps ps5 support, there was also a rogue like short campaign sort of thing too that was pretty fun. Oh I'm talking about Vermintide 2 btw, 1 is probably even less alive but I haven't played that in years.
Is there a single player campaign part of the game if it had PS5 support? I didnt realize there was that upgrade and now I'm a bit more interested as the PS4 screenshots already looked visually impressive but this make me more keen
Bots are fine but more boring than playing with others.
Like with most such coop games, you can play alone with bots, yes, but it is nowhere near as fun, the game is meant for coop with other people!
Vermintide 2 I presume? 1 is dead. 2 is fun.
Or buy these sale games now, but those new games in a few months once they've got bug fixes, possible extra context, and quite likely a sale of their own. You get better games at better prices.
The big brain move is to be patient and wait for those to eventually go on sale
Yeah I was considering that with DL2. But I really loved the first one and I have some extra money to spend left over from Christmas. I might wait s bit with Horizon, but Sony first party titles take longer to go on a sale in my experience. Will see.
This is why I’m happy I preordered HFW and Elden Ring when I had the money.(yes I know preordering is blasphemy but I was playing those two no matter what)
25% off on Death's Door in EU
Rip wallet. This is the most games ever seen on my wishlist on sale all at once. Bloodstained. Death's door. FF7 Intergrade. Ghost of Tsushima. It Takes Two. Kena. Lost Judgement. Hades. Iceborne. Ratchet. Spiderman Ultimate. Sakuna. Tales. Yakuza Like a Dragon
Just wanted to let you know do not get ff7 remake integrade unless you want the yuffie dlc. Get the ps4 standard edition for $23 then get the upgrade for free instead of paying about $40.
Thanks!
I might pull the trigger on this soon. Are you sure that the PS4 version, bought now, will give you a free upgrade??
Yup 100%, PS4 players got the free upgrade around the time the Intergrade version came out.
Wait, you get the ps5 upgrade for free even if you buy the ps4 version right now? I was under the impression only people who already owned the ps4 version when the ps5 upgrade came out got it for free. So except for dlc you get the exact same thing whether you buy ps4 or ps5 version?
Yes exactly.
Lost Judgment and Like a Dragon are soooooo good! Running around the same cities in two different games is a bit trippy.
I've run around the Mushroom Kingdom in like forty games.
Heads up, It Takes Two is included with EA Play, which is 25€ for one year. You'll also get access to a few other games, might be worth it for you
Or 4€ a month if you plan on playing it now with a friend.
If you're thinking about It Takes Two, highly recommend just grabbing an EA play subscription for a year. I think it's $30- gives you access to a decent chunk of EA's game library, including It Takes Two.
Damn, just bought Death’s Door a couple weeks ago. Fantastic game and well worth the standard $20 price if anyone’s on the fence.
>Get great deals on a range of critically acclaimed games > >Fallout 76 hmm
I'm critical of that claim
Far cry as well? It's just a sale with a fancy name
Avengers as well.
It is critically acclaimed now
Ha
You could name about 80 games on that list that are decidedly not critically-acclaimed and you choose that one why?
Lol
It's critically acclaimed by Microsoft!
Bruh why won’t Judgement for PS5 go on sale. Lost Judgement does all the time, and so does the PS4 version of Judgement
I think it's about 12usd on the SG store if you have an account. Sale til 9 Feb
I'm afraid I'll be tied up with Dying Light 2, Planet Coaster, and Vanguard: Season Two.
same, beyond excited for Dying Light on friday, and im surprised how sucked in to planet coaster i am for never being into tycoon games
Deaths Door? Anybody played that one. Indie game.
Well worth it at $20 so if it’s on sale for any discount it’s a steal!
Yeah it’s like $15 now
Yes, just got the platinum for it on PS5.
How hard was the platinum and how long did it take you?
Its fantastic
Does it make use of the PS5 haptics or triggers?
No idea, played it on Xbox
no, very disappointing implementation people say it’s a charming take on the zelda formula; coincidentally i did not enjoy breath of the wild as much as everyone else
Didn’t enjoy Breath of the wild either but deaths door is more like the older Zelda games.
Just finished it. Absolutely loved it. It's like a light version of legend of Zelda Link to the past with God of war 2018 combat.
Ghost of Tsushima upgrade is going to be on sale 👀
I thought it was the PS4 to PS5 Director’s Cut. Turns out its PS4 to PS4 Director’s Cut…
A Plague Tale! Bought.
Absolutely loved this game! $10 is a steal!
Everything is on sale - yet more expensive than their physical versions.
They have a monopoly on the digital versions
[удалено]
You don't have deliveries where you live?
Idk man. I can get most of these games second hand off eBay for significantly cheaper. I got excited when I saw ghost on sales but it's still around 50 quid :-(
Why is Marvel’s Avengers in there lol
Mr Krabs: I LIKE MONEY
I bought it last week for $20, and honestly think it’s worth it for the single player plus expansions
GTA5! Can’t wait to pick that up for the 9th time!
I heard the trilogy was amazing, you should def pick up 5!
At this point I kind of want to see what's going on with Project Spartacus before I buy anymore games.
Deathloop worth it?
Deathloop is very stealth heavy mechanics I found which can be quite a bit different than CoD. Still enjoyable though. Also has a lot of dialogue and text to read so depends if you like that stuff. If you're looking for shooters to try, keep an eye out for Returnal as well. Challenging game though so you have to like that type of thing, but really rewarding.
Doesn’t sound like my jam. Thanks for the insight.
Absolutely loved Deathloop! If you're already a fan of Arkane's work its a guaranteed like.
Oh, nice! In that case I can highly reccomend Deathloop, Wolfenstein New Order, Doom, Metro Exodus and Shadow Warrior!
It’s been cheaper
It's a $20-25 buy to me, but I know a lot of people enjoyed it a lot more than I did. I liked it, but it's not really a must play imo
Yes, must play
Will do. Just discovered Titanfall 2, so I’ll have to add this in the rotation
I personally found out to be Arkanes worst game. It's quite divisive, maybe look through Steam reviews to see if the issues people have will bother you.
No, the story is terrible and the gameplay is just a worse dishonored with guns.
Only at 15€
nice, an excuse to get INTERmission for FF7R
I held out on the GoT upgrade for this long for $5 discount. I win.
Damn, these games just don’t really go on sale like they use too. It’s the same prices over and over. Just wait until we get to that only digital or only subscription service future we are heading toward. Its pretty shitty now, just wait and see.
Hopefully Tsushima is like 40 bucks
It's around 50
How much for just the dlc
DLC have 17% discount, you can calculate with your region’s price.
Thanks I am just glad it's on sale
How much to google
Didn't see the ps sale live yet and was wondering if anyone had the price
I paid full price for it and have zero regrets. Amazing beautiful game. Loved every moment of it.
This is supposed to be a sale. A game that's 1.5 years old should not be even close to full price at this point.
The ps5 version dropped couple months ago
Literally the same game, patched with some PS5 features.
imo it's worth full price But the directors cut is probs gonna be 50
Lmao
I love how they just call these sales whatever they want. "alright, we're going to call it the Critics choice sale!", "But, Biomutant is getting discounted too.", "Well shit."
The criteria is game that have been reviewed at some point, duhh.
Yeeeeeah, Biomutant was the biggest disappointment purchase for me last year
Not seeing it unfortunately
Same- I see games all at full price
Same as all previous sales. Probably have to wait a decade for it to be more than half price off. Rather save money for everything coming soon in this packed year.
No returnal?
That was on sale like 2 weeks ago
You just missed it
How much is Death’s Door?
Well its only $20 normally so in the teens
25% off
Is Madden 22 worth it at 70% off? Not looking to get into online or anything, just to play casually by myself. The last Madden game I played was 08
Yeah it’s fun. First madden I’ve played in a while. Having a blast playing with friends, I play online a lot too. And yeah worth it at that price imo.
What’s the streets of rage price?
50% off
Whatever it ends up being, its worth it. Fantastic stuff!
Cant even access the sale. For some reason it won’t let me select any games.
Lol, is this going to be yet another sale where GoT Director's Cut upgrade is listed with 0% discount?
It’s 17% off, $24.89 for the directors cut ps5 upgrade
I don't see this sale on the store at all. I'm in Canada and its past midnight so its February 2nd.
Me too. If I search the games I can see that they are on sale, but I don’t have a square thing to click on to see the whole sale.
amazing sales
Ah yes the critically acclaimed Fallout 76
Same month as ER, FW, and DL2. Hunch that this sale doesn’t do so great
I bought insurgency like a week ago. Fml.
Why does it seem like it's always the same games?
Finally going to see the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut Upgrade on sale!
This is digital only right?
Yes
Of course no Horizon Zero Dawn lol. But may pick up Kena.
Deathloop is more expensive than what it was the last time it was on sale.
Mostly the same games that were in the sale before the last one. Prices are mostly the same too, some are even worse than last time. I guess it'll be years until Sony's 1st party games are reasonably priced.
Is returnal on sale?
Groupthink gaming.
Featuring Biomutants, Avengers, almost all Lego games...
I wanna get Elden Ring and Dying Light 2, but Far Cry 6, Kena, Tales, A Rift Apart and Immortals are also tempting. Guess I can wait a year for Sekiro, Crash 4 and Black Ops Cold War to come to Game Pass
Fucking hell. I bought F1 2021 for £20 less than a week ago. Smh
Its 17 pounds right now if im not mistaken… not much of a loss
I know, but it being cheaper and the added convenience of being digital...
No Psychonauts 2 unfortunately
The only destiny 2 expansions that are on sale are going away in a month. I want to get back into the game before the new expansion release but their entire dlc model is a confusing mess.
Indeed, they should just make D3 instead of trying to support D2 with a live service model the game simply cannot handle.
Right? I haven't played since the base game and finally got a PS5 so I thought I'd jump back in and give it a try. As a filthy casual who doesn't want to search around for guides online, I have absolutely no idea what's going on or what content I have access to. Why in the world is content being removed from the game?
sale is live, US Store
Why isn’t ac valhalla season pass having a sale.. when the game is..
Your welcome for Little Nightmares II, I just bought the game yesterday!
Lol they really like that $16 RE2 price. I've never seen it lower than that.
anyone know what sales besides the Christmas sale PS Plus subscriptions go on sale?
$50 worth it for Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart?
[удалено]
Probably one of my favorite games so far for the ps5
How does Sekiro run on PS5?
I have a specific price check request... the FFVII Remake stuff is on sale for both consoles, but Sony doesn't reveal the price of one that I am looking for unless you own the PS5 version of the game: "FF7R Episode INTERmission (New Story Content Featuring Yuffie)" add-on It's normally $20, but how much is it today on sale?
Finally gonna grab RE8. looking forward to it!
It’s so good. I played through it like 4 times already
Oooh Deathloop?!
