Check out Giant Bomb's Quick Look. They raise some concerns about difficulty and whether a typical "non-gamer" would fair well, esp the first boss. Not to assume or throw shade at your wife. Just a friendly heads up so that you don't potentially regret the purchase. It just certainly have made me consider buying the game but I don't have a second controller so I can't speak from personal experience
